I visited Dugas Family based on a recommendation of a friend. My regular dentist had referred me to a specialist (out of network of course) in order to have a root canal done. I called Dugas Family on a Wednesday and was able to go in the very next day. Dr. Almaguer did the initial evaluation to determine that a root canal was actually needed and then was able to complete the procedure the same day. He was very personable and had terrific "chair-side" manner. He explained the process and showed me the X-rays. During the procedure he kept in constant communication with me and checked to see if there was any pain. I can tell you it was refreshing to be allowed to be part of the process versus being told what was going to be done and then ignored the rest of the time as is the case with my current (former) dentist. I am definitely switching to Dugas Family and Dr. Almaguer for all my future dental needs. FYI: The procedure even though it was a Root Canal was completely painless! WOW!

Im not a regular reviewer for my people who do like to read reviews. I wanted to let everyone know that at this dental office you have a very good dentist with good gentle hands. I have only been to dentist twice. Once here in May2011 and June2017 in my town of El Paso. I had root canal done on last bottom tooth, one on right(SA) & one on left(EP). Both experiences are night & day. Dr Almaguer handling of my root canal with 3 visits was quick and non painful. I base my experience on same procedure being done by another dentist and the time & pain dont even compare. I now know after 2 hrs with mouth wide open what that will do to your face & jaw muscles. Your face is sore. Very uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend office for the experience, gentle hands of the work and politeness of all dental staff here. If I lived in San Antonio I would make sure to visit Dr Almaguers dental office for my dental work.

I cant say enough good things about this dentist. Hes excellent! Makes you feel confident that you are in the best hands. I had been putting off going to the dentist for several months because I was afraid of having one of my wisdom teeth removed. It was infected but I was afraid to go to. I dont like needles! I finally gave in after suffering so much pain. His staff was so helpful and nice. The paperwork process was quick and smooth. Dr. Almaguer was gentle and removed the infected tooth, and I felt so much relief. I recovered very quickly. It made me wish I had come to him sooner. I will recommend him to all my family and friends!

I have been to this place at least 3 times. First time (about a year ago), customer service was great. Unfortunately the last 2 times their service was very poor! I was not explained about how much I would have to pay but rather they charged me once they had completed the job. WARNING they WILL charge $50 for no show. All their staff was rude. Definitely - I am NOT going back.

The second you walk in they treat you soo good and are very nice. They see you right away and take really good care of you... I will be back and make this our permanent family dentist..
