I used this vet, Dr. Harris /other vets in the office for 14 years. I had a situation that I needed an immediate answer on regarding my dogs. After leaving 14 messages within 1 week (with different people at the clinic over the phone and leaving messages in person) and no return calls, I realized that Dr. Harris was treating us like a number. Apparently he has no interest in a phone consultation or giving advice over the phone, obviously he wanted me to bring my dog in so they could charge me for a quick answer. This was not an emergency, but after leaving 14 messages and Dr. Harris was in the office everyday that week just ignoring me I decided this is not the right place to trust with my animals. I also had a situation where a vet in this office misdiagnosed my dear 9 year old Labrador for over 1 year, he kept telling me that she had an UTI that was causing her to have painful urine release, and causing her to not be able to walk at times. After numerous prescriptions and numerous required office visits for a follow up over a period of 1 year of treating her for something she didnt have, I insisted with Dr. Harris that he do an x-ray (the other vet in his office never did). The x-ray showed numerous tumors under her spine and on her bladder. These tumors turned out to be cancer. My dog died a long, painful death and could have been saved if this vet would have diagnosed her properly and taken the proper steps. I would have spent whatever it takes to save her. They also told me she needed a hip replacement, without taking an x-ray! My current dog was spayed by Dr. Harris, apparently she has a chipped ovary that he left in her and she has problems because of this. Also, Dr. Harris removed a spot on my dogs back, which returned but he would not perform another surgery after he told me he guaranteed it would not return. Of course, if I paid for another surgery! In addition, I took a dog with parvo to Dr. Harris at Annehurst, after several thousand dollars later, and not treating her effectively the first time, I pulled the dog out of the clinic. I called around and found out that he was charging double what other vets charge. After misdiagnosing my Labrador and spaying my current dog which also had problems, I decided this clinic is not the right clinic if I cant trust them. This place is too expensive and you will be treated like a number with a credit card! Shop around if you really care about your pets and take them elsewhere, you will see a difference with care and with cost!

I was customer for 9 years. Was great going once a year for check up because my dog was so healthy, and that time my experience was good.Usualy from puppy age my dog was always seen by doctor , (is female, she left state)She was amazing! After her, dr Harris was one who start see my dog.Was good until recently my dog start with seizures. Was hard time for me and my familyAll the test back normal, no sign for anything we need to be worrying.I remember ,answer is "just because he get older(8yrs)some time is happening and with specific dogs breeds, and even with medication he going to have seizures some time. Was hard for me and my husband.Seizures actually start b more often , and is happening that he has two seizures in 5-6 hours. We spent so much money to do all different test and that start problems, every time if we have emergency , I call , I left messages and messages and dr Harris never call back Usually his nursing technician call after so many messages I left.Almost like he ignored my call and he pushes someone also to call me back.First proscribed medicine was wrong and we found out after almost one month I give this medication to my dog.The specialist in Medvet actually say something about that he take wrong medicine, but Dr Harris say this is pharmacy mistake.I go back to pharmacy , they has original proscription from dr Harris, was his mistake. Was over, we decided to go somewhere for second opinion, we decided to do MRI .. we want to help my baby boy. After second opinion and MRI...,I remember I call one day Dr Harris , not remember whay I call ,I left message This time I have call back in 5 min , was surprised! His nurse technician, she was always very rude and not friendly , she say to phone ""dr Harris not accepted new patients right now "She say , if is emergency I can go to Medvet.I was shocked,I cant say anything .. I know that reason for her quick call back and this answer is because we decided to do second option,, They not respect any one , all is money and more patient, but they dont care about ... dont care how much money I left for past 9 years... Im not recommending this place for anyone... I heard so many other stories from people , and you cant see this review anywhere...

We have taken our dog there approximately 4 times over the last 2 years for boarding. The last 2 times he has stayed the care has gotten progressively worse. He has come home on antibiotics and we are unclear of the diagnosis the veterinarian gave him. The last visit was absolutely HORRIBLE. Our return flight was cancelled and we arrive home 48 hours later than we initially anticipated. We paid for a bath upon pick-up which we were told was done the day before we originally were picking him up. He was brought to us with poop all over his hind legs and he tail had sores on it. He smelled TERRIBLE!! We brought him home and immediately bathed him. He was on antibiotics for an unknown reason which we immediately discontinued....mind you we paid for the vet visit and the antibiotics. We have asked to have him weighed before and after his boarding so we know how he is eating while we are gone. This has NEVER happened even after being asked repeatedly. He didnt eat or drink for 4 days upon returning home. We took him to our regular vet for follow up. Thank God nothing was wrong with him. We dont know what changed but the level of care has decreased significantly over the last 2 years but the prices havent. As a matter of fact, the unexplained additional expenses have increased. You will be uncharged for services without explanation and your furry family member will receive poor care. We are reasonable people and just want our pet safe and cared for during our time away from home. If he needs additional service, that is fine, we just would respectfully ask for an explanation from the vet. And to bring a dog to the owner covered in poop is unacceptable and brought us to tears because we knew he had been sitting in it for at least 2 days, if he did in fact get the bath that we paid to have done prior to pick-up. We will NOT be going back and would strongly recommend reconsidering a decision to leave your pet at this facility until changes are made in their processes.

Recently my wife and I went through the painful process of having to put our 20-year-old cat Callie to sleep. We had known that it was likely necessary for some time but we needed professional guidance to explore all of our options. Though we had lived in Columbus for 3 years we had not found a regular veterinarian. We were recommended to AnneHurst and we are so grateful we were. Dr. Cheever, Dr. Gonzalez and the entire staff showed us so much compassion in the initial visits and ultimately the euthanasia process. Though my wife and I were inconsolable and in tears for much of our final appointment, their patience and consideration was the silver-lining to one of the most difficult experiences a family has to go through. We truly can not thank AnneHurst enough for everything. Your practice put your values before all else, and I emphatically recommend AnneHurst to anyone looking for a vet in Columbus that cares more about people, pets and family than rushing through visits to get to the next appointment.
