We had our Dog on the Banfield Wellness plan for 9 years. Did all the checkups and everything that was ever recommended. About 2 months ago we were told our Dog had elevated Liver enzymes and might have cancer so we needed to put her on a very expensive diet and have her checked again in 30 days. We paid for the expensive food and were very strict and did exactly as we were told and then brought her back in for the re-test 30 days later. To our relief we were told everything was fine and she did not have cancer and nothing to worry about. Monday she was throwing up and not eating so we took her to Banfield for an exam and we thought she might have eaten something. We paid for x-rays and were told she needed surgery to remove whatever was in her stomach even though we could not see anything on the Xray and the cost was going to be around $2000.00. We then went to a different vet that was half of that price to have the surgery done and there was Absolutely NOTHING in her stomach! Worse yet our poor dog was FULL of CANCER!!! She had cancer on her LIVER which we just tested for a couple of months prior, she also had cancer on her spleen, and stomach. DO NOT GET THE WELLNESS PROGRAM as it is a HUGE waste of your time and Money in our experience. We spent hours of time this week getting different opinions and researching what could be done to save our Dog and if we would have known about the cancer we could have been prepared to just put her down when the time came and we could have said our good byes and prepared our kids. We can not understand how they could have missed all that cancer when we just did blood tests a couple months ago.

Weve been with Banfield since 2012 when we got our first dog. In 2014 he got very sick and we called letting them know we were on our way to them and they refused to see him saying we didnt have an appointment. We called every Banfield close to us and no one took us even though we pay every month for his plan. Luckily the U of MN Twin Cities took us right away and saved him. (He had a foreign body in his intestines.) A month ago he was acting strange so we took him in and of course we called them on our way to let them know and they kept telling us they were closing in 2 hours and that they could give us a list of other clinics but we said we were still gonna go to them because we have a plan with them. They said his vitals were fine and they gave him a shot to stop him from feeling nauseous (he threw up yellow mucus in the morning) and said to monitor him for 24 hours. Throughout the entire 20 minute visit they kept reminding us they were closing soon. 5 hours later he wasnt breathing and we rushed him to an emergency clinic where they were not able to save him even if they tried. Banfield has failed me two times too many. The first time couldve costed his life and the last time did. Banfield was informed of his passing and still called us to set up an appointment for a wellness checkup. I dont and will not recommend anyone to take their pet to Banfield. Find and start taking your pets to local veterinarians/clinics where they build clientele and communicate with you regarding everything going on with your pet and wont rush you out the door when your pet is sick.

I want to start off by saying I in now way doubt that the people who work here really care about the animals that come into this clinic. With that being said, I was dissatisfied with my experience there. I have moved recently, so I am not familiar with any of the vets around here and Banfield was one of the only places I could find that was open on a Sunday that would see my cat without having to pay for emergency vet services. The vet came off as more of a salesman than anything. He wanted to run three different tests, which I found to be excessive and when I asked for a quote he spent 10 minutes talking up the Banfield pet insurance. It felt very impersonal and like he was more concerned about getting me to sign up for insurance than getting my cat diagnosed. He ended up not finding anything wrong with her at all and I was so frustrated I brought her back to my old vet who was able to determine a diagnosis by simply performing a thorough physical examination- no tests needed! I spent an unnecessary $200 at Banfield and my poor kitty went another week sick and uncomfortable before I could finally get the right answer.

I have been going to this Banfield for almost 10 years. Whether it was care for my mouse (yes, you read correct), cats or dog... it always received quality care and was treated very well by the staff. Only recently did my relationship with this Banfield become stronger. If you are ever in need of care, go see DR ENZMANN! She saved my dogs life. No exaggeration. My 1 year old dog has had many, MANY health issues since we adopted her and Dr Enzmann has been very patient with us. She always looks out for my dogs well being and I can see that for her... it isnt about the money. Its about the quality of care that she is providing. And, when I had to put my kitten to sleep... I was helped by a very warm, caring Vet Tech, Trudy. She shared my pain and cried with me when she gave me my kittens diagnosis. THIS BANFIELD CARES FOR YOU AND YOUR PET! This team inspires me to become an awesome Vet Tech so I can save lives like they did mine. Thank you Roseville Banfield!!

Perhaps the staff has changed since the last review. I went here with a free coupon after we adopted a puppy just to see what I needed to get done with out having to pay for it. I was pleasantly surprised and chose this location for this check ups and boosters. The veterinarian that my pup has seen has been very knowledgable about his breed(s) and what we should do to get him to calm down while getting nails trimmed, teeth brushed, and ears cleaned. The staff always welcomes us with warm smiles and plenty of (healthy wheat free) treats. I have never been "sold" anything other than a teeth brushing kit that is not even sold in the store. At first I was wary of using a vet in a pet store but the Vet said that she does not recommend any of the food that the shop caries and the only thing they have in common is that they rent space. I am very happy and would recommend to another pet owner.

We have been with Banfield the past three years and are on the "insurance" plan. The last two years our dogs routine exam has turned into "he has liver problems, we need to run more tests" but when we pay +$200 (not covered by the "plan"), everything looks normal. They never seem to be able to answer our questions and last week when we asked to talk with the Vet, she walked away in the middle of our conversation. It was incredibly bizarre and frustrating. In addition, they forgot to clean our dogs teeth during the routine cleaning (that was supposed to be included with the "plan") and then "found" this liver issue when they put him under to clean his teeth, so they wouldnt clean his teeth until more lab work was done. We now have to go back a third time to have his teeth cleaned. Were actively looking for a new vet. Poor service, poor care.
