We were so excited to get our new puppy set up on a wellness plan and visiting this location instead of having to travel all the way to Eagan. We went to Eagan Banfield for 12 years and NEVER had an issue. We had to put our dog of 13 years down back in March. When we talked to corporate we were informed we could cancel that one and start new one for the new member of our family and have the set up fee waived. We were so happy to hear that and everyone was so great. I should have taken it as a sign not to schedule there when I called Apple Valley location and explained what Eagan and Corporate told me and she said she couldnt guarantee this and maybe I should just go to Eagan. However, they were only place with openings on my days off so we scheduled it. Of course this falls on 4th of July, coming from different suburb I had NO clue there was a parade blocking off a LARGE portion of the major road to get to Banfield. We had to take back roads all over to get there, called and told her running a few minutes behind, get there and she says the minute I walk in the door I have to reschedule. I explained what I told her about running late, she said "um I didnt know where you were coming from". Sorry, booked rest of the day you just have to reschedule." This woman was very rude with a not so friendly look. Wish I had taken long enough to catch her name. I was so upset, probably gave a rude look back and walked out with my pup. (Might I add that place was empty and when I called late yesterday they have 6 openings) I will NEVER recommend that place to anyone. I called Savage location and they squeezed us in same day. I will highly recommend them and the Eagan location but will never attempt Apple Valley again.

they are only concerned about how much they can charge you and how much they can upsell you we had an unfortunate week with two of our dogs and we brought one in the other night for emergency service at 1 oclock in the morning and Banfields prices were almost twice as much as an emergency vet at 1 oclock in the morning it was $97 for x-rays and they did two sets Banfield charge me $199.00 for one setneedless to say they paint the scariest picture possible and prey on your love of your animal and do all sorts of unnecessary test and charge you significantly more than the average veterinarian and almost double that of an emergency veterinarian Im not the brightest man in the world but something doesnt make sense there if I were you I would only go there if your dog was bleeding out and you are right there otherwise go someplace elseunless you have a spare $1000and if I could post my receipts I wouldyou have all been warned your own risk they may be ok for preventive maintenance but I do not have experience with thatall I know is you can get dog vaccinations online and a monkey can give an injection

Every single time Ive taken my cat in they always try to guilt trip me into paying more. Dr. Pollock was very consistent on pushing me into "helping my cat" by up selling unnecessary procedures and medicines for my cat. I told her I couldnt afford all this at the time and she made me feel bad about not being able to "help my cat and others cats" in my household when all my cat needed was an ear cleaning. She kept insisting I do more than I needed to at every appointment and every time Ive gone in Ive ended up paying over 100 for each check up even when on the wellness plan. Would not recommend this specific location or Banfield at all. They care more about making a buck off of your your pets and guilt trip you into doing so.

What an amazing group of animal lovers at this location! I was in need of a routine checkup for my dog and they were able to accommodate me in right away and were so caring and nice! We found out my dog needed a little more attention and they were very understanding and quick to take care of her needs. They even suggested a Wellness Plan that would include all routine preventative medicine and extras to save me money! I highly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital in Apple Valley for anyone needing a convenient, great price and loving pet hospital! Thank you Dr. Olsen, Margaret and Savannah!

TERRIBLE! They were EXTREMELY rude to my cat during the visit and talked to me like Im an idiot. It was supposed to be a simple checkup but they basically tortured him. They held him down by his neck when checking his paws and he made a terrible crying noise I have never even heard before! It was terrible! On top of that, the visit was more expensive than any other vet visit hes had before. It seemed like they wanted to get me out of there as soon as possible and didnt mind hurting and tramatizing my cat in the process.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. I have been to over 10 different vets through the years with my cat through different moves and I have never been to one that has been so rude to a worried pet owner and so rough and inconsiderate with my cat. I have never had a vet handle my cat the way they did. I will gladly drive the extra hour and pay more for the visit in North St Paul to ensure that my cat is getting better treatment.

Five stars!! I read the negative comments posted prior to my visit and was not sure exactly what to expect. But I am all for rating my own experience. The staff is awesome!-starting from my first call. They took the time to throughly go thru the treatments, different options and cost by line item. I am very happy with the special care given to me & my pet.

Banfield is great for routine check ups and vaccines! For diagnosis and treatment, I would recommend going to a specialist in the field. Staff has always been super nice and friendly. My tip would be sign up for their yearly contract plan in the beginning, then you pay nothing for office visits and it includes vaccines and discounts on prescriptions!

We almost spent thousands of $ on our kitten to have an unnecessary procedure done on their recommendation. I went to our normal vet for a 2nd opinion, and I am happy I did! It was just a cough/cold. They took care of our dog after he was attacked by another dog, and that did a great job. I wouldnt go there for much more than a standard exam.
