When I first moved to La Vergne 5 years ago this was the vet that was chose to take care of our animals. Over the years we have used them to boarder our dogs when we travel. On our last trip we would be gone for a week, our longest time away ever. And it was going to be over the fourth of July holiday. When our dogs were dropped off we explained that the youngest, a two year old, was terrified of fireworks and would need some extra care. We gave some all natural calming vitamins and asked for them to be given to her at night before any fireworks would begin. When we returned she was a mess. They had allowed her to cry until she no longer had a voice. It would take 3 days for her to have her full voice back. Also, they had allowed her to dig at her kennel until her paws bled. The raw pads of her paws had dried blood around them. While we have always had great vet care from Dr. Tim, the "we will look into it" response wasnt enough in my opinion. We will never use their services again.

I went there to get our cat up-to-date on his shots and rabies vaccine. It was quick, but not painless. The entire staff will pull the typical "guilt trip" crap to get you to buy more services. If I had purchased their suggested services I would have paid more than 5 times what I went in for. The nurse, the doctor, the nurse again, and the receptionist tried to sell me, but each time I said "No thank you, I just want these shots." Without fail, they would respond with stats and try to make you feel like a horrible person. It got old fast! TL;DR: - Quick scheduling - Minimal wait time before being seen - Very pushy and condescending staff

I just want to let everyone know what an amazing vet Dr. Tim was to my Pomeranian. He and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my sweet baby was okay. She woke up this morning and was unable to walk. He kept her all day and monitored her closely. Dr. Tim did everything he possibly could. He was extremely nice and narrowed down the possibilities of what was wrong and he even printed me out information to take home. He was very thorough with explaining everything down to every detail. I highly recommend Lavergne Veterinary Clinic. They were amazing!! Thank you guys so much for everything!!!

Terrible neighborhood worse clinic. The veterinarians carry guns on them. Avoid taking your pet here. They incorrectly set my dogs broken leg. Its a phenomenon they have not had more malpractice suites filed against them. Dr. Tim is a good vet. unfortunately hes never actually there. You are left to choose between the Fat bouncer who carries guns while tending to your pet or the wildly rude woman who works there part time. save yourself the trouble and drive to murfreesboro if you want for your pet to be taken care of ,or if you want to avoid being shot.

Clean place ,nice doctors, but..... just like everything the bill will shock you,its just as expensive as taking a child to the doctors, if they could or would should I say lower the cost of Vet billing then more people could afford to give better care to their pets,I think its wrong and the Vets have forgotten the reason WHY they became a Veterinarian, less dogs would be at the shelter and waiting their turn to be killed because familys no longer can afford the cost of a pet, Shame on you Vets ,you know who you are!!!

Front desk staff is nice however, on my last visit i was told that they were going to work with me on my dogs anxiety issues and that there were several medications to try but when i called to give an update on the medication prescribed (which i had been asked to do) i was told there was nothing else they could do except send him to a specialist. That was completely opposite to what i had been told in person. I just wish they had been up front about what they were able to do. I will be taking my dog to another vet.

Severe price gouging. This vet takes advantage of the compulsory rabies vaccinations, to price fix and gouge residents. $20 for each shot, which is more than double what you will pay at more trustworthy veterinarian offices. Also, if your animal is in dire need of care, and you arent capable of paying the substantial bill up front, take them home to die, because this vet does not work with you in that regard. Overall, theyre more interested in your money, than they are in caring for your pet.

Do not go here!!! They talk to you like you are ignorant especially if they see you are not Caucasian , red hair chick racist and very rude, has the worst attitude ever! If you say good morning to them they either look at you like you are speaking a different language or they do not say anything at all and just stare. The only nice person there was the male veterinarian, everyone pretty much racist idiots l.

I have been going to this clinic for many years. I am always touched by the caring of the staff and doctors. Dr. Prater really puts the care of the pets before profit. He has told me on multiple occasions, not to stress my elderly cat by bringing him in the office. We can talk about his condition over the phone or when he is caring for another pet of mine. OUTSTANDING! Thank you, Dr. Prater!

I work at a vet clinic in Smyrna but was unable to take my pup to work to be looked at so I chose LaVergne Vet. I am so glad I did. Their staff is wonderful and their doctor is so kind! If any of my animals get sick and my own clinic cannot look at them, I will definitely be going back...as well as sending them clients if my own clinic is booked. Thank you LaVergne!

First time visiting. I have a new Yorkie poo puppy, shes a tiny 3.8 lbs. She was sleeping too much and not eating enough. The staff was amazing, they were calm and kind and gentle to my baby girl puppy. When the vet came to check her out he surprised me by playing with her and talking sweet to her. He made me feel she was important to him. That means so much !

My dogs have been patients for more than 15 years and all the doctors and staff maintain high standards of professional expertise, advice and care about my pets. I have never had any complaint about the care my dogs received here. They now have grooming available and if you cannot do it yourself be advised that their rates are very reasonable.

Karmas vet since we got her. Buddys vet his entire life. Dr. Tim is compassionate and deals with illnesses and end of life issues as a friend would- honestly. Prices are very reasonable and you can walk in for rabies shots without appointment any time they are open. My first choice for veterinary care!

My whole family has used this veterinary clinic for years, and their compassion and loving care always impresses me. They do everything they can to make you and your pets relaxed and comfortable! They are well educated in the newest treatments and medicines. They are wonderful!!!
