Ive never had a pleasant experience at this hospital. Im absolutely done with this location and all VCA clinics after my last visit! The clinic manager only cares about the bottom line and is void of any compassion or care. Do not waste your time with this overpriced and callous business. I brought in my newly adopted 3 year old rescue kitty in for a checkup. She was removed from an animal cruelty/animal hoarding situation so her condition was very poor, especially for her young age. Amongst many other conditions, she had a severe infection in her left eye upon surrender that subsequently had to be enucleated (surgically removed) by the shelter. After voicing a long list of concerns about her the doctor gave her a very brief look over and prescribed a few things for fairly superficial conditions. Nothing serious, ear solution for bad waxy buildup from ear mites, medicated wipes for feline acne, and a probiotic for her diarrhea. One of the more concerning things I brought up was the condition of her teeth. Her records from the AHS shelter where I adopted her noted severe plaque and gingivitis. Also noting that it should be followed up by a clinic upon adoption for further examination and treatment. The doctor barely opened her mouth and brushed it off saying he only noticed a little plaque, "nothing to worry about". Hes the doctor so I trusted his opinion. But I was still a put off the the lighting fast visit. Never a good sign, trust your instincts! Fast forward 1 week, I was meet with an emergency situation with kitty (the incision on her eye was internally infected and had opened up) and sought immediate care at a different facility. Upon her examination they immediately found multiple severe resorptive lesions in her mouth. This requires a dental cleaning and multiple surgical extractions. When I called the clinic to voice my concerns about the overlooked dental condition and see what they could do to rectify the situation, the clinic manager refused to take responsibility for the situation and I was met with horrible disrespect and hostility from her. I truly believe that Dr. Smith who conducted the exam is caring and knowledgeable. I understand that people make mistakes, but the way this situation was handled was inexcusable. Avoid this place at all costs!

The whole team at VCA is welcoming, helpful, and caring. Its obvious they care a great deal about what they are doing and the animals they care for. Prices are very reasonable and the care your baby will receive is top notch and as prompt as possible. I have been to VCA twice now for emergency situations. I own two conures (exotic birds). Last year one of their tail feathers got smashed and needed to be plucked to prevent my bird from bleeding out. A few months ago my other baby impaled himself on a toy; I came home to a very panicky, lethargic bird and blood splatter all over the things surrounding his cage. Both of these visits couldnt have gone better. They got my emergency cases in quickly regardless of how busy they were so that they could at least stabilize my babies. The impaled toy situation took a long time, given that my baby had to be put under and examined. The whole team did a great job of keeping me updated on what was going on in the back rooms and letting me know what they think will need to be done. VCA is great about quoting you prices accurately before things are completed and explaining how important/necessary suggested procedures are. I see another review complained about everything they suggest; they are not trying to nickel and dime you, but rather doing their best to inform you of all preventative methods available and letting you know how much those would cost you. I did not feel pressured at all when they suggested certain testing on my birds and they were very helpful and honest with answering my questions about how detrimental it would be to not perform such test/treatments.

We have been regularly coming to this office for just about 4 years. All of the doctors are great and really take time to listen to you and what is currently happening with your pet. They help guide you to make decisions that will benefit your pets health and longevity, but also guide you when the time has come to gently put your pet down. When we had to put our cat down they did so with the utmost empathy and compassion. They listen when you come call or come in with a concern. The office staff know who you are when you walk in the door and take the time to greet each animal and person upon arrival. The only real negative is they do take a lot of time, not just with you and your concerns but everyone else too. You can expect to be at the office for about an hour each visit, even just for annual shots. Overall a knowledgeable group to work with the doctors are compassionate and the evening and Saturday hours are great.

Very expensive. Didnt seem to care about my cat, even though she had not been eating or drinking for days. I had to fight to get her rehydrated and all the doc cared about was getting a lab test to see if she had an elevated WBC in other words, if she was sick (if your cat is not eating, has snots running down her nose- then yes, she is sick and there doesnt need a lab test to confirm it). Everything had a price tag attached to it. If you want real service, find another vet! Also, when we found a new vet- he told us we could get the certain shots in 2-3 year variations, so we didnt have to pay every year- just for the check up fee. The vet at VCA never mentioned these at all.

In the past year and a half we were faced with the need to put both of our sweet, older dogs to sleep. The first was due to old age. The second developed cancer on his leg. Dr. Blake was very understanding as we processed our options. The honesty in explaining his condition were much appreciated. Dr. Smit euthanized both dogs. Both Dr. Blake and Dr. Smit showed such kindness to us! They both expressed sincere sorrow in our loss and reassured us that it was obvious how much we loved him. We even received a beautiful sympathy card from VCA, which meant so much to us! I highly recommend VCA Animal Hospital!

The seemed to only care about money and taking up my time... not only did i end up wasting about 4 hours there, the bill was huge. and the doctor wasnt mean but she wasnt exactly interested in my animal... dont get me wrong they figured out what the problem was but she just wasnt pleasant about it. (Revised) I went back to the vet with my dog this afternoon and got a different doctor... Its like night and day... Depending on the doctor you get there... its a big change!! She was pleasant concerned and much more flexible... Highly recommend this clinic just be careful with which doctor you get.

My pet was very sick, wasnt eating, and was very wobbly on her feet. When I called the clinic to try to get an appointment ASAP, they were able to get me in right away. They squeezed my appointment in by double booking and I was more than ok with that. There were no emergency fees or anything like that. Just normal, reasonable charges for what was done with my pet. The staff was extremely friendly and the Vet that was checking out my pet was very professional and knowledgeable when it came to the exotic pet I brought in. I will be returning for regular check-ups. Thank you!!!
