First, let me openly and unabashedly say I love my physical therapist Kristen Stankus. I came to Excel after weeks of leg pain that was only alleviated by steroids. Walking more than a city block without pain was out of the question and I was beginning to seriously fear losing my mobility. After my initial consultation Kristen assessed that the problem was really my back. I was doubtful....but willing to try whatever she suggested. We started off slow with various stretches; movements trying to pinpoint what would or wouldnt help. After one session Kristen was on track and had a fairly clear idea of how to progress, which she explained to me at every step. She answered all my questions and never appeared offended when I voiced my doubts. She is personable, pleasant and I believe genuinely concerned about her clients. I never felt like I was being rushed thru my sessions. She actively listened and engaged in conversation. She clearly explained each movement and why it was necessary. I never felt like I wasnt an active participate in my own improvement. I was given weekly homework to accomplish between our visits. Within a few weeks....I slowly begin to remember what it felt like to walk without pain. I have one more week of therapy and I have to say, Im happy to feel MUCH, MUCH better. As for the office itself; Spacious, clean, well lit and appointed. Excel appeared to be well stocked, plenty of equipment to help move you along in your recovery. Prompt appointments and a clean environment. The women at the receptionist desk always, always remembered my name even before signing in for my appointments! LoL Initially I balked about the $35.00 co-pay because of my insurance however Kristen and Excel were worth every dime.

For the last six months Ive been experiencing pain from hip to knee to the point where I wasnt sleeping, couldnt walk more than ten minutes, and had to stop doing yoga which Ive been practicing for decades. Ive tried osteopathy and another PT practitioner and then finally my physician recommended her own miracle worker, Meryl Goldstein. After two sessions, I felt like Ive been to Lourdes. Shes amazing. She is a brilliant diagnostician because she knows anatomy so well and shes a delight to work with. I laugh as much as I exercise while Im there and thats a lot. Ive now seen her 4 times and each time I get back a significant amount of increased mobility. Its an amazing team of PT experts. You can tell from the atmosphere that everyone is really engaged and passionate about helping people function better. Go Excel!

From the receptionist to the physical therapist the patient is important,listened to and they strive to make sure they understand your needs. Meryl G is terrific at figuring out which tendon, muscle or joint is affected and applying a modality that works. They are interested in you getting better and work efficiently and effectively! Excel has very knowledgeable, helpful therapists and their front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have been to places where the therapists hardly spend any time with you, but this isnt the case here. They give you the time and attention you deserve.
