I asked for a therapist who wouldnt talk to me as if I were ten. They assigned me to someone who talked to me as if I were five. Everything was about her: "I want you to..." "My goals for you are..." and worst of all, "Sit up nice and tall for me." Very unprofessional - would small talk with other therapists during my sessions, came late or down to the wire (pointed me to a machine and went off to put away her things), and dismissed my questions. To make more money, most PT clinics now double or triple book, which means you spend an hour doing 20 minutes worth of activity. Instead of carefully teaching me exercises to do at home, it was, "Here do this while I go work on someone else." The printer was always down and the therapist ignored my request to send diagrams of the exercises via email, so a lot of time was wasted. When I asked about going to the gym, she said sarcastically, "What do you want to do at the gym?" When I made a joke about situps, I got a lecture on, "This is physical therapy. I am not a trainer." Finally I dreaded going so much I quit less than halfway through the program (oddly, for just about any issue they try to sell you on 10-12 sessions - common industry practice). Changing to another therapist wasnt practical because theyre all clearly buddies and work in the same big open room. The manager never bothered to call or email to ask why I terminated early; Id made complaints to the receptionist, whos nice but not trained to follow through. The therapist called but I didnt see any point in giving feedback, as shed been clueless or defensive when Id tried earlier. She needs a communications coach. I then went to an orthopedic specialist at a top clinic for an assessment and new referral. He told me I didnt need PT but *should* go to the gym and start easing back into my routine. Sure enough I began feeling better immediately. The PT had been making things worse. And the therapist was right: PT isnt training at the gym. The trainer at the gym is better.

I was doing physical therapy post an ACL Revision surgery, and I couldnt be happier with my PT at Excel. My injury kept me from my active lifestyle of triathlons, and thanks to Excel Im able to get back to that lifestyle! The therapists are great at working with you and communicating plans with your doctors to ensure everyone is on the same page to getting healthy. Everyone at the office is fun to work with. Youre always greeted with a smile and youre always in a positive atmosphere. I highly recommend doing your physical therapy at this office!

I went to Excel after injuring my ankle playing basketball. I expected the injury to heal on its own, but after two months, I was still having difficulty with tasks as simple as climbing stairs and walking on uneven ground. John Zegar worked with me 1-2 days a week, and each week I saw slow but steady improvement. By the end of therapy I was able to run full speed without pain. John was a real pleasure to work with, and all of the staff at Excel were very helpful. Id highly recommend John and Excel to anyone in need of physical therapy.

5 Stars! I had, emphasis on the word had, a strained deltoid and my hip flexors were killing me. I thought :1. PT wouldnt work - I just need to stretch more! 2. The PT is going to make me stop working out - NEVER! I was wrong. My PT John Zegar identified the shoulder problem quickly and gave me home exercises. He advised me as to what I could and couldnt do at my Group Fitness class. I followed his advice and am healed! I cannot believe it! John is so kind, smart and easy-going. The entire staff is excellent too. Thank you!

They are fantastic - Ive worked with 3 different therapist (vacation/new injury) on two different injuries and the treatment has been consistently excellent. They have been super flexible to work with my crazy travel schedule, they tailored a lot to help me focus on an at home regiment for my travel times and they are a lot more focused and hands on than any other PT place Ive been before. Ive seen marked improvement in a short time and couldnt be happier.

I had Rachel she was great. I almost always got the time a needed and she even came in early to accommodate me. She was my physical therapist for 11 months. She was great and always made my recovery feel like a priority, and I enjoyed my time there as much as one can enjoy physical therapy.

I had a great experience at Excel. The staff was professional and friendly. John developed a thoughtful treatment plan and worked with me to achieve my goal of running without pain again. I am now pain free and signed up to run a half marathon!

Incredible and CARING staff. I just started my treatment there after fracturing my knee and I cant rave enough about the service. When I do my exercises I see all the therapists working and lots of smiles on faces. So glad I found this place!

Appointments were easy to schedule, the therapist was friendly and knowledgeable (I worked with Rachel), and the experience has definitely helped. Id rather not injure myself again, mind you, but if so Id definitely return to Excel.

Really great place! Everyone is super helpful and focused on getting you better. I did not experience "the baby talk thing" mentioned in other review. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
