Lange Animal Hospital is concerned with the physical AND emotional well-being of the animals they treat. They want their office to be as low an anxiety zone as possible for your pet and will do what they can to help your pets feel more at ease during their visits. I have 2 difficult animals: a dog who is afraid of strangers, especially male strangers; and a cat I rescued as a senior kitty, so her background is unknown. The cat has serious back and trust issues and will NOT allow anyone new to handle her. My former vet provided wonderful health care, but after manhandling my animals to give them their shots, I wanted to find a new place that would be more caring, patient, strategic and respectful of my animals quarks. Lange Animal Hospital has been amazing with my animals! They bring ONLY female doctors and techs to handle my dog, and we have a special order for treating my cat. They respect the information I gave them about my cats "trigger points" and they get the most important items done at the beginning of the appointment so that when she starts to flip out, they can allow her back into the safety of her cat carrier and they dont have to drag and wrestle her out again. The last 2 times the cat has been to the vet, she has had a full exam (with shots!) without screaming and scratching! Lange Animal Hospital is a wonderful place!

When I moved back to Knoxville from out of state six years ago, I checked out a number of veterinary practices before choosing one. Lange Animal Hospital is the best one in the Knoxville metro area, hands down. Besides the ordinary well-dog services that one would expect, Lange Animal Hospital offers boarding. I like being able to board my pet where her medical records are located just in case a medical issue would arise in my absence. If you want your pet to receive extra attention while boarding, try "Camp Lange" (for an extra fee). You pet will get special play time or cuddle time with a staff member, and youll receive photographs or videos of your pet via your cell phone while youre gone. Even if you dont pay for "Camp Lange," the staff doesnt mind if you call while youre gone to check up on your special one (or ones). I also like the fact that Lange Animal Hospital has separate entrances for cat owners/exotics and dog owners. And Dr. Randall Lange is a very kind person. A while back, I was going through a tough time, and Dr. Lange and his staff helped to ease the burden on me. That means more than I can say. I cant imagine bringing my pet anywhere but Lange Animal Hospital.

We highly recommend Lange Animal Hospital! We moved to Knoxville from the NE over 3 years ago with 2 cats, Ms Kitty, Francesca, and our beloved dog, Bella, an Italian Mastiff. During the 3+ years, they took excellent care of all of our pets! They were especially caring towards Bella given her rescue history 9 years earlier. Bella taught us more about life and loyalty. With the help of Lange Animal Hospital helping us manage her medical issues we were able to enjoy her for several years more. Every time we brought Bella in for an overnight stay they were excited to see her and truly took great care of her. When the time came for us to put Bella down the employees of Lange Animal Hospital grieved with us! Several of the doctors came in and grieved with us and to be with us during this difficult time. We will always remember the compassionate care Lange Animal Hospital gave to our pets and us and we will be forever grateful! Jeff & Zanna

I have been a client @ Lange Animal for over 35 yrs. I started taking our 1st dog there the year after Rick & Randy set up their practice. Over the course of these many years, Lange has taken care of 6 different dogs, having put 4 of them to sleep & grieved with us over each one. I cannot say enough good things about ALL the vets @ Lange. They are so kind & caring and take treat your pets health concerns very seriously. Over time they & the staff have become friends. I prefer to rotate among the 4 vets, so all 4 know my dogs well. As my current dogs approach old age and are experiencing numerous health issues, Randy, Wade, Katie, or Kelly is always there to try to improve the Girls quality of life. They genuinely love my dogs. At some point we will have new puppies whom I know will be just as loved and well cared for as our past babies. Anne Langley

I wish I could give Lange Animal Hospital 10 stars! We became acquainted with LAH in the 1990s while frantically searching for a veterinarian to help with a pet emergency. Dr. Randy saved our sweet Maddies life that evening and has held a special place in our hearts ever since. He has subsequently cared for two additional members of our family - Crazy Sandy and Lazy Lily - with love, compassion, humor, and expertise. I am extremely thankful for the many years of interaction we have had with Dr. Randy and all who work at LAH: Dr. Kelly, Dr. Wade, Dr. Katy, and the office staff are all awesome as well! Suffice it to say, as long as we are pet owners, Lange Animal Hopsital will be our #1 (and only) choice. They are truly the BEST VETS in Knoxville!

Lange Animal Hospital has been our family vet for many years and they have taken such amazing care of our fur-babies. Dr. Lange has been our primary vet, but we have seen all of the doctors there and they are all excellent. From the front desk staff to the vet techs everyone at Lange Animal Hospital is professional, courteous and above all, compassionate. They really care about your pets- and it means the world. Ive never been left waiting for an appointment and I really appreciate how calm the atmosphere is- especially when my cats have to come in. They even have separate entrances for cats and dogs! You wont find a better place for your pets in all of Knoxville!!

Langes staff and doctors have always been passionate about their care for our many pets over the last three decades. Lucy, our current client and a spoiled Pomeranian, enjoys her visits with Lange Hospitals crew who know her by name and greet her when she comes in the door. I have been taking my Maltese dog here for 4 months, and the veterinarians are friendly and helpful. My dog warmed up to the vet, even though he is scared of people. When I first got my dog, he was sick, and they gave him some medicine that made his cough go away. Now I have added a second dog to my family, and I took our new puppy there today. These people know what they are doing. I trust them with my precious animals who are like children to me!
