I have greatly benefited from three engagements with Wallace & Nilan PT for three separate injuries, and I cannot rate them highly enough to express my satisfaction with my health outcomes. I attended the Malvern clinic, which is clean and air, a pleasure to work out in. The staff of Therapist Assistants are unfailingly attentive and helpful, both leading me through my workouts and providing guidance in performance to help me get the most out of every exercise. But best of all, I had the genius attention of Ross Nilan to diagnose and understand my conditions, and personally lead me to optimum outcomes. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs expert physical therapy. In the past, I have had experience with big hospital PT offices where I felt like I was just one of an anonymous crowd of patients, given cursory directions and going through the motions of basic exercises. At Wallace and Nilan, my workouts and exercises were expertly designed to specifically address my condition. Ross Nilan even read my MRI reports and explained to me the nature and seriousness of the injuries, explained exactly where they were in my body, and exactly how they affect and are affected by movements and actions. This provided understanding that was far superior to what I learned by speaking directly to orthopedic surgeons, for example. In my first experience, I had been suffering severe arm pain that was determined by MRI to be caused by cervical disk injury. The physiatrist initially explained that I may need spinal injections or surgery to end the pain, but first recommended I try physical therapy with Ross Nilan. After just a few weeks of visits and custom-tailored exercises, I was completely free from pain and no further medical treatment was necessary. I regarded this as the perfect, excellent outcome of what was at first a very threatening condition. My second experience was caused by a fall leading to severe rotator cuff injury. The MRI reported frightening damage, including many complete tears to many tendons in my shoulder, not to mention that my entire arm turned completely black with bruising. The orthopedist upon examination and review of my MRI gave me little hope that I would escape surgery but agreed to give PT a chance first. I visited Ross, we reviewed the lengthy MRI report and he immediately designed a series of exercises as well as hands-on physical manipulation/massage. At my six week follow up visit the orthopedist seemed almost amazed at the range of motion and lack of pain I exhibited. He said something like "Well, your MRI made it look like your shoulder was a mess, but you are doing fine." Just like with my cervical spine injury, I once again avoided surgery and medical recourse through expert PT thanks to Ross Nilan. My most recent experience with Ross and his team was my recovery from full knee replacement surgery. As before, on my first visit Ross developed a custom program for me, which I followed with 2-3 times daily exercise at home. As I made progress, Ross would modify my workouts and would always encourage me to push myself to get to my fastest, best recovery. In addition to an evolving set of workouts, Ross also provided various hands-on stretching exercises to get my knee back to full functionality as quickly as possible. When I saw my orthopedist on my six week follow up, both the surgeon and his Nurse Practitioner were impressed by my rapid progress and flexibility, assuring me I was far ahead of average recovery. Im sorry if this review is a little long, I just want to share with you the excellent resources that are available to help you when you are a patient at Wallace & Nilan. In addition to the inspired genius of Ross Nilan himself, the staff are excellent, more like devoted coaches and guides, always helping you get the very best out of your work. In addition to my own experiences, my wife used Wallace & Nilan to achieve successful, non-surgical outcomes to two separate conditions. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough, they are fantastic and will take excellent care of you.

Had therapy with Wallace & Nilan in Flourtown in June 2013 for knee replacement, experience with them was wonderful Brit and her staff checked my progress through out the process, I was on the golf course in August. My second experience was in November and December 2014 to prepare for left knee replacement. Brit and staff helped me make sure both knees would be ready for replacement. Most recent experience was the end of February until the 14th of May. Brit and her stall once more kept me ,on tract. During my rehab, I must have be overzealous with my progress that I managed to mess up some hamstring and other muscles and tendons in my leg, after trying to figure out what I did, Brit noticed when I walked my knee was out of alignment she held my knee cap the massaged all the way down my leg and undid whatever I did and that was all it took I was back on track with rehab. Back on the gold course all is well. My thanks to Brit and staff for all the help and support they gave me. Such a friendly place I would recommend them and use them again.

I was sent here by my ortho. The first 6 weeks were great. When I went to PT before my 6 week checkup, the therapist muscled my arm way past its limit knowing I was going to the MD the next day. In the process, I told him that really hurt and was a 9 on a 10 point pain scale--he proceeded to push it. I had to go back on pain meds after this for 5 weeks (having been off them for 4 weeks up until then and making steady progress). I was told "maybe I had previous deterioration." I got an MRI (cost and hassle)--and there was no deterioration. Even after this event, towards the end of 12 weeks I was not seen by the Ortho designated therapist, but by someone who was not instructed or aware of the Orthos specific PT instructions. I would never go back here.

The Malvern clinic is fabulous! I am no "Jock" and have been uncomfortable in many physical therapy clinics over the years. Not this one! Ross, Sara, Kristen and Stephanie know what they are doing and work together like a well oiled machine. The atmosphere is caring and fun. The patients actually interact with each other. There is one patient who actually "functions" like the class clown but, make no mistake, the work gets done. I have back issues and had my Achilles and my actual heel reconstructed on 12-01-2016. Ross and company have tailored my rehab to accommodate the many physical challenges I have without making me self conscious. Bravo Malvern Group, please keep up the good work.

Drew at Flourtown is my hero! I have recovered from two shoulder surgeries, back complaints, and a few other old guy / aging athlete issues, in the very capable hands of Drew & staff in Flourtown PA. This is a physical therapy establishment like no other! The entire staff is not only rehabilitation oriented, but also knowledgeable in strength building and athletics, and they have an amazing assortment, ever-growing, of gadgets and equipment for the physically recovering and also those seeking performance enhancement. Drew is a great & vast resource of recovery exercises and creativity in that department. I highly recommend this company!

I have been going to the Wallace and Nilan office in Malvern since August after being in an auto accident which hurt my neck and back. I already had neck and back problems prior to this event, and I never thought I would get back to a healthy position. Many, many thanks to Ross Nilan for his knowledge, dedication and hard work. I "graduated" from physical therapy this past Friday and am so happy with the results. Physical therapy can be challenging at times, but Ross and each one of his staff members made it a pleasure to be there. I would highly recommend Ross and his team.
