I have been bringing our oldest dog here for 2 years now and I had been fairly pleased with the services we received, so it was kind of a no brainer that we would bring our newest dog here as well. The first time we brought Toki in, hes a bull terrier, the service was okay but the vet wasnt really the friendliest. My boyfriend wasnt really happy with him so I decided to try a different vet there this time. The vet was nice, but the treatment of my dog leaves much to be desired. Toki is very leary of new people, especially males. Hes not outright aggressive but he is VERY vocal, which can freak people out. You have to give him time to adjust to you and realize youre not a bad person. They simply took his leash and dragged him off to the back to be muzzled. He was absolutely terrified and ended up going to bathroom. From what I saw they did absolutely nothing to help soothe or relax him. It was like they just wanted to get the whole thing over with. I want a vet that will take time to get to know my pet and make the experience pleasant, not rushed and traumatic. I left feeling very uneasy and upset. Needless to say we will not be returning.

I have been taking my 4 animals to Dr. Phillip Brown for over 6 years now and have never had any problems. The staff is always friendly and they are always up front with the test fees so I know exactly what I am expecting at checkout time. As a result, I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a vet in Springfield. As far as the less than nice review from "Andy", could it have been that one of the staff members was having a bad day? I find it hard to believe that they would not call you before performing other tests or administering medicine to an animal. In the 6 years I have been going there, they have always contacted me prior to doing anything to my pets. I would give them another shot, and talk to Dr. Brown. He is very understanding and may even help you with some type of discount. :)

Our cat was in to be spayed and to address an over-grooming issue. The vet never spoke with me directly and didnt follow-up during the stitch removal on the over-grooming/anxiety. I will not return and will encourage others to go anywhere else. The girl who spoke with me in the examination room lacked any real social skills and was very short with me. She also kept checking her phone as I was speaking with her. I was so annoyed with the whole experience that I didnt even care to ask about the over-grooming. I didnt want to have to deal with these people again. I now have an appointment with another vet across town.

This place is a joke. I brought my dog in for cherry eye. They gave me a steroid that was supposed to help. It didnt. They convinced me to have a very expensive surgery which didnt work either. They did nothing but charge me for medicine and procedures that didnt work. I later took my dog to another vet clinic and explained what they had done. It was obvious the vet there didnt agree with anything that Animal Care Clinic had done. They fixed her eye with one visit and it looked better than it every did with this vet. It was extremely over priced and they didnt even know what they are doing. Please find another vet

My kitty was sick from her spay surgery a few days before. This was the closest vet that was open past 5 (so helpful... Ellie hadnt eaten for two full days and I was freaking out when I got home from work and she STILL hadnt touched her food!) They got me in that night, the vet was so good with my cats (the other one kept throwing up at random times). He was honest, inquisitive, answered my many, many questions, cleaned up my cats wound, told me things bluntly. It was great. He even personally called a couple days later just to check up on them. I think I found my new permanent vet!

My beautiful Shitzu Maggie has had the best of care with Dr. Jones and Dr. Brown. Also, a special thanks goes out to Heather and especially to Georgeanne and her grooming staff for the many years of service. Maggie survived bladder surgery (thanks to Dr. Brown) and many ear and eye infections (thanks to Dr. Jones). These docs also cared for our two cats. All three of our pets are now gone, Maggie being the latest. She was 16 l/2 years old. Our cats were 19 and 16 l/2. All three were adopted and loved so much. Thanks to Animal Care Center for all of the help along the way.

In the course of 5 years Ive had both my Labs fixed at the Animal Care Center. Each time I was over quoted and ended up pay less than expected. They answered all my questions thoroughly and even called to follow up on how my dogs were doing after surgery. Keep in mind that the prices they give in quotes are based on the information given by YOU. So knowing your pets weight is very important for the quote. The more they weigh, the more expensive it will be.

I love taking my animals here. You can tell that the vets truly care for animals here. My pets have seen all of the vets here and they have all been great. They make sure to spend ample time with you to explain the problems and solutions and are very knowledgeable and kind. Their prices are reasonable, and I also appreciate how whenever my pets are sick they always seem to be able to make time to see them as soon as possible. Thank you, Animal Care Center!

I brought in a stray dog just to check and see if it was microchipped. I did not have an appointment. They were great- took me back to a room, allowed me to talk to a vet about the pup, even did a parasite test right then and there. They also gave us a free sample of flea medicine so that I would not have to pay for it. Very impressed and appreciative of their "go above and beyond" attitude!

I brought a stray that I found here and they were friendly, helpful, and scanned the dog for free, twice to make sure she wasnt chipped. they were also very helpful in suggesting other places that I could go to list her as found, to help me find her owners. If I dont find her people, Im going to keep her, and these folks will be her vet for sure. Very pleased with the service and treatment.

I have a very old basset hound that I worry about when I leave him places. They have shown nothing but compassion when I have brought him in. Ive only lived in Springfield for a year and I have no complaints. The short time I have been here they have been very very nice. He is 13 years old.

Dr Brown and all of the staff are amazing. I brought my Doberman in to be checked because she was trying to cough and they got her in there in less than an hour and Dr Brown called me to let me know what was going on and the treatment needed. The service here is absolutely impeccable!
