Best Vet Clinic & Boarding Available in Springfield MO! When we moved to Springfield a few years ago, we considered a few different vets in town based on recommendations by neighbors, colleagues and friends involved with dog groups. Most vets were reasonably good, however, after one visit at Healing Paws, it was clear that this is the leading vet in town. Dr. Ruggeri, her staff and facility are top-notch! We have brought both our dogs and cats to Dr. Ruggeri and we have all been extremely impressed with her sharp assessments, exemplary treatment plans and professionalism. Her staff mirrors these positive attributes and that is another reason why we always have a positive experience during each visit. Additionally, we take advantage of their luxury kennels and cat condos when we must leave town. Just after we moved here, I toured and evaluated 20+ pet boarding options in town and not one of them came close to Healing Paws amenities. Cleanliness, care and playtime are clearly a priority at Healing Paws and not many other places come close. At such a competitive price to other facilities in town, this is the best option for our pets. They can stay in clean, secure, bar-free spaces with plenty of room to roam and play in between their frequent walks with the staff. Our cat also enjoys extra play in their lovely cat boarding room with toys, windows and perching spaces. There are no tearful partings when we bring our pets to Healing Paws because they enjoy the time they spend in their care and with such kind staff members. If you have to leave town, there is no smarter choice than to leave them with someone who can care for their medical needs if anything should arise. That peace of mind is just one of the many reasons we recommend Healing Paws for pet boarding. Dr. Ruggeris Healing Paws is an excellent example of a compassionate, modern, efficient and affordable veterinary clinic in Springfield, MO.

Dr. Wantuck and her staff at Healing Paws are an awesome group! My dog has been in Dr. Wantucks care for the past 8 years. I couldnt be happier with her. She is a kind, compassionate, and overall extremely caring doctor. She truly cares about her patients and I trust that she always has their best interest at heart. My dog loves her and she has proven to be an excellent judge of character over the years. :) I believe Dr. Wantuck is the best of the best and Id recommend her to anyone! On a sidenote, I saw a review that was posted earlier that I just have to address. There is a post here in which Dr. Wantuck was given a one star review and I just cant believe there is much truth to it. Knowing the strong moral character and trustworthiness that I have seen Dr. Wantuck display in handling my pet and the pets of friends I have sent her way over an 8 year period of time it just all seems a bit odd to me and completely out of character for her if what they have said is true. Personally, I think their post seems a bit fishy and unbelievable after reading over it a couple of times. Suggesting a dog that isnt paralyzed yet be put down because it "might" end up paralyzed...not likely. 3 trusted chiropractors that work with animals that would look at your xrays...really...wow. Just some things to think about...couldnt just ignore what I feel is an attack on an amazing doctor of great integrity.

My dachshund was in pain, hanging his head, moping around. Dr. Wantuck showed us his x-ray and told us he had a vertebrae putting pressure on his spinal cord and if he moved the wrong way he would be paralyzed. She said he needed to be put down and there was nothing we could do. We put him on meds to help his pain while we cried over what to do. We called and asked their opinion on taking him to get adjusted, if that would possibly help the problem. They said no, that might paralyze or kill him. Luckily, we didnt listen, because that makes no sense. End his life rather than try treatment that MIGHT help, or could maybe end his life?? We sent his x-rays to three different chiropractors we know and trust, one who has a history working on a variety of animals. Each one said they didnt know what she was talking about, because the vertebrae she circled was fine, and not the problem at all. His back was out of place somewhere completely different, and he had a little bit of arthritis in places. They said they saw next to no risk in having him adjusted. We slowly eased him off pain meds so we could accurately judge what helped and took him in for one simple, painless adjustment. He was back to normal and in no more pain. I would have killed my dog had I trusted this woman, for nothing. Always get a second opinion.

This morning was my kittens first visit to any vet, as he was a rescue. Everyone here was so nice and accommodating to how scared he was and so gentle with him. They talked to him, not just to me and they even had him so relaxed during his exam, he was laying on his side "full body purring!" Im glad i chose to take my kitten here!

We switched to Healing Paws soon after it opened..and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! Our dog absolutely loves it there! They also board and he is always excited when he realizes he is on his way to spend a few days with them. Great clinic and resonable prices!

This place was amazing! Our dog was stung by a ground wasp and had a terrible reaction. When I called and explained our situation they squeezed her in to the schedule. The office staff, vet and vet techs were amazing! Thank you for saving our dog and vacation!

My family used this vet for 4+ years. Loved the people but we recently switched to another vet and am much happier with how personable and caring my new vet seems to be.
