We have been taking our cats to Dr. Hoerner for over seven years and he has always been so compassionate, caring and explained everything to us concerning his plan of treatment..etc. He is a great person and a super awesome veterinarian. His staff has always treated us with respect and genuine caring. We did have a visit in July of last year where a staff member totally ignored us as we stood there with our cat, who had just got back from the emergency vet clinic...she continued her talk with some woman about personal business and never addressed us, it was another staff member that finally helped us. We were a little pissed but using Dr. Hoerner is worth putting up with a staff member who has an attitude. I must say she has always been extremely nice in future visits. I want to give big KUDOS to Patricia, Stephanie, Gina and of course our awesome Dr. Hoerner!

Took my German Shepherd in with a cut on his neck. Hes over a hundred pounds, and though he may not be mean, he was in quite a bit of pain and didnt want to be messed with. The doc was very patient with my dog and sedated him so he wouldnt be so nervous. Within no time I had meds to help him get better and also picked up monthly flea meds while I was there. Definitely recommend Hoerner veterinary hospital for all your sick pets. Also the doc is a veteran of the armed forces, will definitely use him again.

My dog Lillie became very ill with Parvo over the summer. Dr. Hoerner and his staff truly cared about her health and went above and beyond anything I expected. He knew I was a single mother and did all he could to save her without draining me financially and called my home after hours to check on her. We found and injured kitten later on and he treated her for free. I will continue to take my pets to Dr. Hoerner and would recommend him to anyone who loves and wants the best for their pets.

They were able to schedule me in on the same day as I called and went out of their way to schedule my dogs spay on a day they dont usually do this procedure because of my tight schedule. They were very friendly to both my dog and me and knew majority of the animals and people that came in for visits by name. As long as Im in Deridder Im not going to go to anyone else.

This man needs his license revoked! Providing false health certificates for horses out of Thompsons Feed Lot that are visibly incredibly ill and contagious, allowing them to ship nationwide. Numerous horses he has cleared as healthy die on their trip to their new homes. What a pig!

He is the veterinarian for Thompson feed lot and clears sick or injured (sometimes both) horses for travel and sale that should be quarantined on site or euthanized.
