I have two Boston Terriers that are both rescues from Kentucky. I am not married and I have no children, so my boys are my life. My boys had been to the vet prior to coming to Minnesota, but unfortunately they both became very ill on the journey. One dog had known heartworm and despite being kept in a home foster situation in Kentucky, arrived with kennel cough. The other dog that had been pulled from a shelter had several troubles I did not know about until we went to meet with Dr. Kristina of Maplebrook Pet Care. Dr. Kristina got down on the floor with my new wards and began the process of carefully inspecting them to discover the dog from the shelter had fleas, bilateral ear infections, and an emerging presence of kennel cough, likely given to him by his new brother. That, and she confirmed what I suspected by his behavior... that he was indeed very likely deaf! Over the past few years we have had a host of issues pop up, and Maplebrook has always been there to support me and my boys through our issues. They also have a wonderful monthly payment plan that I take full advantage of so I can get the health screenings I want and need for my animals without paying a large bill every six months. Dr. Kristina has also been very helpful and supportive in teaching me about how to work with my deaf animal. I never would have thought about having a special need pet before, but he is by far the most intelligent, loving animal I have ever owned, and I am so glad Dr. Kristina was there to help me have some confidence and understanding with a difficult situation I was not prepared for. I am grateful to the entire team at Maplebrook. The desk staff and the veterinarians are second to none... how fortunate for me to have them in my town and as the primary care givers to my beloved boys.

Dr. Kristina gives the best possible care to each of my pets (family members)! My two Huskies look forward to their visits and take advantage of her large fenced in area behind the clinic where they romp and run before their appointment. They love seeing Dr. Kristina and her staff, and always pose to have their photographs taken. When my sons cat, Tocino, had a problem with his hips, Dr. Kristina got us in to see her very quickly, diagnosed the problem immediately (through the help of x-rays) and made arrangements for one of her instructors from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine, who was one of her instructors, to come to her clinic to perform the necessary surgery on Tocino, who is fully recovered, walking and jumping from floors to the counters and back down again, just lilke nothing was ever wrong! I cannot thank you and your staff enough for all the help you have provided and all the miracles you have performed! Thank you Kathleen Larson

My dog was in peril, unbeknownst to me. I brought him in due to limping and we met with Dr. Amber. Long story short, he was suffering kidney damage brought on by Lymes Disease, of which she immediately suspicious. I understand its very rare to see Lymes be taken so flagrantly into the kidneys; Dr. Amber went straight to work, consulted with the U of M, came up with an aggressive plan to help. All costs were clearly laid out in advance and options discussed. No question, my dog was in very capable hands. The entire staff was kind, compassionate and sincerely interested in the health and well being of Tanner. Im sad to say, he didnt make it, despite the heroic efforts of Dr. Amber and staff. His kidneys were far too damaged to be repaired. Nevertheless, the kindness coupled with professionalism given to both me and my pet from start to finish has left an imprint on my heart. I give this clinic 5 stars!

The staff at Maplebrook truly care about my pets. They remember them from visit to visit and are always friendly to me. I recently lost a beloved cat to cancer and Dr. Amber could not have been kinder and more available. She took the time to answer my emails and never hesitated to do what was best for my girl. After she had succumbed to her cancer, the staff gave my husband and I a book in memorial to her and the entire staff signed it with personal notes about her. It was so wonderful to know that they understood the pain we were in and were genuinely sympathetic. Dr. Kristina is also extremely friendly and really knows her stuff. Special shout-out to the awesome vet techs Lindsay and Jen (dont know if shes a vet tech or not). They always remember us and are always friendly.

Love, Love, Love these guys!! After hearing that Dr. Amberleigh had moved into her own practice I could not wait to get our whole furry family into her care. She is very knowledgeable and really takes your needs and opinion into consideration. You feel like you have a partner in your pets well being with the staff at Maplebrook. We had a very sick little guy on our hands. Our little 5lb poodle/papillon mix Wicket was not acting quite right. Dr. Amberleigh worked with us to get a diagnosis (Pancreatitis) and set out a treatment plan. With the great care he received he is making a full recovery. It is not only Dr. Amberleigh but the entire team at Maplebrook that makes you feel like your pet is part of their family too.

Dr. Kristina and all of the Vet Techs are true animal lovers and it shows. Dr. Kristina has been quick to accurately diagnose 2 of my dogs which had a rare syndrome and one with a brain tumor. She worked with us and also our budget and provided excellent treatment. When our Great Dane had to be put down, both Dr. Kristina and Lindsey came out to my house, as I could not carry a 165lb Dane to the office. Everyone at Maplebrook was so supportive during our Danes 1 1/2 year battle. I cannot say enough good things about them. We also had to board our Dane for a week there with his special medical needs and Lindsey (the Vet tech) really took special care of him.

The staff at Maplebrook are awesome! They are so courteous, professional, and most of all knowledgeable; they make going to the doctors office as pleasant an experience as possible. My retriever pup Iggy loves the attention he receives at reception and from his veterinarian. These people not only love your pet as their own, but they are great with people too! Not only are they patient and thorough during office visits, but the follow up care over the phone is timely and on point. Being new to the area, I was apprehensive about veterinary care for my newly adopted puppy. I made the best choice possible in choosing Maplebrook. No regrets whatsoever.

I initially took my dog, Keyah, to another vet and had gone to Dr. Barker as a second opinion. The first vet I had seen had told me that Keyah was dying from heart failure and put her on some pretty heavy medications. After speaking with Dr. Barker, whom Keyah loved, she told me that it was not heart failure but had an enlarged heart and took Keyah off the medication. I honestly feel like she saved Keyahs life. Dr. Barker was very compassionate and truly seemed to care about the well being of her patients. Overall it was an amazing experience and I recommend that everyone start taking their pets to see her!
