I have had terrible health care experiences at this location of Kaiser Permanente, as well as in Largo. I have on more than once occasion had to go and get second opinions and pay out of pocket to get decent health care. I will be switching my medical insurance as soon as possible. Specifically, I was once left in an obgyn waiting room for several hours half naked, in stirrups, apparently forgotten about. Another time, I went to urgent care for stitches and spent about 6 hours waiting and bleeding by myself in the waiting room, then in an examination room. It was very cold and I couldnt even flag down a nurse for a blanket. Most recently, I got injured while jogging: I have a knee meniscus tear and KPs physical therapy department has been utterly ineffective in helping me walk again. The surgery department says the tear isnt bad enough to operate on, and the other doctors are out of ideas. I am now paying $150 per visit to see a good physical therapist outside of KP. The difference in competence is astounding.

The employees all have a horrible attitude. Some are on Facebook or on their phone while they check you in. The laboratory technicians tend to be careless or just looking to click next until they clock out of their shift...like factory mentality. All the patients waiting and leaving look like their dying. Everyone extremely overweight. It makes me wonder if anyone actually gets better here. Makes me depressed. The doctors are okay. Overall speed of service is okay. Good in-house prices on pharmaceuticals. Update: The place is growing on me and I appreciate the ease of having pharmacy, labs, x-rays, and all physicians/specialists in one building.

I don[t understand any of the negative reviews as my experience has been excellent. My primary care physician is exceptional and keeps on top of what is going on with me. (Her assistant needs a personality work over.) Lab technicians have all been very good and this is important because my veins are extremely hard to find. Ive always been able to get someone on the phone though a person from pharmacy was once both rude and wrong and ended up calling me back to give correct information.

This center is so very nice. Their previous location on North Capitol was dingy and tired; this is shiny and spacious and comfortable. The staff is great, as are the doctors. Theres even a "connector" to Union Station -- in bad weather, you can walk from the pharmacy all the way to the train concourse of Union Station without ever setting foot outside! Convenient to public transit and a lovely place if you need medical care.

I only joined this plan/center because its super close to my home. My impressions: Not enough staff, very slow, horrible organizational skills, mediocre customer service and generally not a top notch facility as far as services. Its nothing to wait here hours for "Urgent" care or even lab test/pharmacy service. Step up your game Kaiser!!!

Traveling in Washington DC and my daughter was sick, We went to the KP facility in Capital Hill. Had to spend on hour on the phone with KP Norcal because apparently KP has not integrated billing between different coverage areas without some special "travel" information you are required to get beefier traveling. Really? KP Fails!

Anyone complaining about this or any other Kaiser facility Ive used has not been to an emergency room lately. I find the care to be exceptional and the waits always reasonable. Remember, someone else could be worse off than you and is having time spent trying to resolve their issue...it could be you next time. Karma people!

This kaiser center was awesome! EVERYBODY was super friendly and helpful. Great vibe from the staff made for an extremely enjoyable experience, during a procedure that was not so fun. Edwin was my tech and he was phenomenal! Cannot say enough good things about this center. I wish all kaiser centers could be like this one!

Parking is so crazy! I dont know why they would put a medical center in a office building setting. The customer service really sucks a well. Im only going there because it is the only facility that have an orthopedic nearby me. If that wasnt the case, I surely wouldnt be going there at all!

The center is a great place to get all services done in one swoop. The Urgent Care is only for Kaiser patients, because it is a part of the regular Kaiser services. Kaiser is an insurance plan and health services provider. Awesome place to work and be treated medically.

Very personable and professional staff, but trying to track records or talk with a department is a NIGHTMARE. You will be on the phone all morning. I have had SIX CALLS DROPPED in the last hour. Incredibly unprofessional in that regard.

Kaiser Permanente offers the best patient care Ive ever experienced. My mom is currently a patient and they treat her like a Queen. Every single person is caring and very genuine. They are the best healthcare professionals in the DMV.

Pharmacy is SLOW. ALWAYS SLOW! Everyone I spoke to told me that they are under staffed. At 10pm, with no one here, it still took 2 hours to fill a prescription. 10 windows available and only 2 being used. REDICULOUS!

If you do not have Kaiser insurance, you are better off taking a cab to GW Hospital. This Urgent Care does not accept any insurance except Kaiser.
