Awhile back, I was referred to him by my physician about my acne--after the various over the counter topical treatments, scrubs, masks, and any sort of dietary supplement she could provide and birth control I learned I couldnt take due to my depression, she believed Accutane was the only option I had, but that wasnt something she could prescribe for me. I went into Dr. Gaffneys office only a few times; my acne was not worth his condescension and his remarks upon seeing my acne, which made me feel like some horror attraction. Ive seen people with cystic acne, people with worse acne than I have, and he works in dermatology, he should know better than to react that way to a patient. Long story short, my acne issues are not worth the trouble of seeing that man once a month for several months, even if he is a good doctor (I wasnt there long enough to find out).

Doctor Gaffney is a remarkable physician! He and the staff of support personnel are friendly, patient, and exact in their jobs. Doctor Gaffney takes nothing for granted - checks out anything that might potentially be a problem. I am amazed, too, at the fine memory he has. He is a great communicator with his patients - doesnt talk down to them, but rather explains in a laymans language the things we need to know. Yes, sometimes there is a long wait in the waiting room. Just ask them how the schedule is going, and perhaps there will be time for you to have lunch or do an errand. The full waiting room says LOUD AND CLEAR, "Doctor Gaffney is an excellent physician and human being." Daryl Kazmier P.S. Read the certificates and diplomas on the walls of his examining rooms. I am writing a review of Dr. Gaffney as the only ones I see are on the negative side it seems those are the only reviews people take the time to write. Dr. Gaffney is the best Dermatologist I suffered for two years with two other Drs who miss diagnosed my skin problem. Dr. Gaffney took one look at my skin diagnosed it set up a treatment plan and my suffering was over on a month. I do see him on a regular basis now and am still following his treatment plan. Dr. Gaffney and his staff our WONDERFUL I have always been treated with respect and honesty. I too have waited for my appointment but it is worth it here is a hint make your appointment for early morning before they get backed up because all Drs get behind. So please dont let the negative reviews deter you from seeing Dr. Gaffney.

I found that I too had too wait an unusually long time for my appointment. I was then diagnosed by the nurse. Dr came in and froze a small spot on my nose taking less than 2 minutes for the entire visit. The nurse then returned to remove 2 other spots. I was very disappointed because I had asked for a full body inspection however it was apparent that he was way too busy to take the time and the nurse was not what I consider a "dermatologists" visit. I probably waited at least an hour+ in the lobby and another 1/2 hour in the patient room for a total of 2 minutes with a doctor. Over scheduling is insulting to us that work - our time has value also.

I was misdiagnosed & had to wait over 2 1/2 hours for a follow up visit. I didnt go back, I found another dermatologist that took the time to care & find out what was really going on. I feel bad for the employees at his front desk that kept getting yelled at because this doctor double & triple books clients. To me, that is rude & inconsiderate of others time.

I admit I never got in to see Dr. Gaffney, I couldnt get past having to wait over an hour and left. Im sure having an entire lobby FULL of waiting patients, half of which had been there so long theyd fallen asleep, is a sign that hes a good doctor and worth the wait (I wouldnt know) but Ill take my business to a doctor that values other peoples time.

well I should have known better than to try this again. walked out after 40 minute wait and being told it would be another 45 minutes yet. I cant imagine how long some folks sit there as the place was packed and the service very slow. find another doctor unless you have nothing else to do with your day.

I read the posted reviews & have to agree. I walked out after waiting an hour and a half. If you actually get to "see" him, Im sure he is a good doctor, as the one person stated. Its a beautiful office. You get to look at it for a long time.
