Heres my story: Believe it or not, I had perfect skin all through my elementary school and high school and towards the middle of college my skin began to rot! I was asked by many friends and family what happened to my skin and it was taking a toll on my self confidence. I tried EVERYTHING. I got fed up with it and researched the best dermatologist in Lawrenceville. and Dr. Derrick Moody was that doctor. The first time I saw Dr. Moody, he identified the underlying cause of my acne and presented a treatment plan that actually began to have serious effect on it. It only took maybe a week or two to see significant improvement, but all it took was 2 follow ups for me to be BREAK OUT FREE. I cannot say enough about how he saved my skin, my face, my confidence.. my quality of life! Its easy to recommend him to my friends struggling with acne. and I even tell some of my out of town friends they need to consider flying in to see him. And now, I get compliments on my skin! Its like my face was never diseased by acne and I often times forget what it was like to be that depressed, acne ridden girl who felt crappy about herself. Its been about 1 1/2 years and my face has been smooth and acne free. To the strangers that compliment on how my skin looks...I often tell them I struggled with acne and they are always amazed at how it looks now. Thanks to Dr. Moody, its all in the past now. Stop looking elsewhere! Get seen by Southern Dermatology. They know what they are doing and are always on time (I have never spent more than 60 minutes in there), and they will surely help you too!

I had an appointment today at 2:30pm 3/1/2017 didnt get seen until 1 hour later the new staff is very unprofessional they have no idea on wants going, they are just running around two people that came in right after me were seeing before I was I went back since my first time seeing them almost 7 months ago was amazing the prior staff was right on. I will not be going back nor will I recommend them they wrote down a medication I needed on a peace of paper they told me if I couldnt find it to go online and order which the nurse told me so I went to cvs and Walgreens and neither of them had it the pharmacist from Walgreens was kind enough to search the medication for me and I was told by her that I could get it over the counter which I told the Dr. and the nurse that I have tried before and I does not work I just feel as thought I was a waste of my time and money. Get it together souther dermatologist bring back the old staff.

At first, he was very nice & thorough and I thought I found a great dermatologist. However, my skin condition never improved, I was not given new prescriptions to see if there is a better alternative available, and I was scheduled to be seen on an "as needed" basis. I was willing to do "trail and error" on different products - as most people are who are looking for a solution - but he was looking for a way out. If youre looking for a doctor to work with you, understand your struggles and for someone willing to put in the extra effort to understand you, your habits, and your skin, this is not the place for that! I do have the say that the office staff was extremely nice & made each visit pleasant.

I brought my children in for a visit in regards to their struggle with severe eczema. Not only was my visit a pleasant experience, but i was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff, there was not a long wait after check-in, and my children were diagnosed and treated accordingly without having to be re prescribed different medications, meaning, Dr. Moody got it right the first time!!! I would recommend his services to any and everyone thats experiencing issues with their skin condition. Hes definitely a Doctor that is concerned about the patients well being and is very thorough and passionate about making sure things are done in a professional and accurate manner!

El peor doctor dermatólogo q e encontrado.. o%recomendable las secretarías poco profecionales y despotas practica mente me serraron la puerta en las narices y todo por q mi bebe de 2 años estaba gritando me dijeron q si me podía salir q porque Asia mucho ruido y q no querían tener problemas con el doc..!!

I called to make an appointment with Dr Moody due to the reviews on here but came to find out I was completely miss leaded his assistant before she even greated me asked my insurance information which made me feel uncomfortable didnt say hello nothing straight to the insurance once in the office I was there for probably no more then 20 minutes was told not to worry my insurance covered everything and come home today and what do I have a bill for a couple hundred from southern dermatology these people have no shame this is peoples health we are talking about , Never Going Back Thats For Sure!!!! Dont make the same mistake

I have just completed my visit with Dr. Derrick Moodys office and I must tell you that I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Moody himself spent time to listen and understand my issues. I can honestly recommend anyone looking for a dermatologist to first give Southern Dermatology a try. If my experience today is something to go by, Im really convinced that you will have an amazing experience too. Just to let you know that I was at Dr. Moodys office last week. I had a fun experience with the office. Their customer service remains excellent.

AMAZING is all I can say!! Im in remission from Stage 4 Clarks Level Malignant Melanoma, so I was terrified to change dermatologists!! Dr Moodys office was nothing but accomadating. His staff was just as great as he was. Brittany in the front office was very sweet and professional, and his nurse (cant remember her name) was very detailed and organized. Everyone in the staff took time to listen and never made me feel rushed. I would recommend this place everyone!! Thank you for the great service!!!

I wrote a review recently about my unhappiness because of this doctors office using an out of network lab and charging me 400+ dollars despite saying they accepted my insurance. I was furious. However, Doctor Moody himself called today to clear up any confusion and apologize for the bill being sent to me. He assured me my balance was adjusted to 0. Very happy and satisfied with the way I was treated as a patient and especially for Doctor Moody taking the time out to fix the situation.

Dr. Moody is a great Dermatologist. In fact, I cant recommend Dr. Moody enough. His staff was friendly and competent, and he was calm, talked to me about my issues frankly and gave me the options, and has a great sense of humor. I was quite nervous (having a suspicious mole removed) and he made me feel very comfortable and got me laughing! He takes his time and explains everything. Dr. Moody is definitely the best dermatologist Ive ever run across.

Dr. Moody is the best knowledgable Dermatologist I have encountered. When I went for my appointment the office staff were very attentive. My wait time was minimal. The best part of my visit was the face to face contact with Dr. Moody. He was kind, attentive, knowledgable, and very caring. I recommend his services to everyone. You cannot go wrong in choosing Dr. Moody!
