I had to choose a star to post this but they dont deserve that!! AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!! The nurse was extremely rude. Then to my surprise the doctor was ever worse! Dr.Overholt was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever came across. Aside from the fact that she was dismissive, wouldnt answer any questions, directing them to me making an appointment with her peons, she completely cut me off when speaking. She could careless about my concerns or what I had to say. Now to the important part... I was BUTCHERED! I have to now go thru more because I have to go to a plastic surgeon to have fix what Dr. Overholt did to me. On the phone I was told my mole biopsy was slightly abnormal and they needed to remove a little more. It was "NO BIG DEAL." I couldnt walk at all for a week. ( with a then 3 month old baby) I limped in pain for over a month. Now 3 months out it is still painful at times. I have spent an unbelievable amount of money on banadages to keep this hideous scar covered. As the doctor stitched me up the nurse cut the stitches 3 different times where they had to be redone. She said, "I swear Ive done this before." Really? I was in so much pain! I was give pain medicine for 3 days. When I called to tell them I needed more, she wasnt available. So I had to make another appointment with another doctor to be able to just barely function! Do not waste your time. The Staff looks at you like you are a complete inconvenience to them. And it was more than clear I was an inconvenience to Dr.Overholt and her nurse! TERRIBLE!

Worst experience ever. The front desk staff was so rude and no one knew what was going on. It took them forever to find my chart then I waited for over an hour after my appointment time to be seen and only got mediocre help. They recommended a very expensive skin regimen and I bought it thinking I would see great results and was guaranteed great results to not see any. When I called to let them know they blamed it on me not using it like I should be. First of all I did use it like they told me too in the office. Second, I do not appreciate the assumptions made by the lady I talked to. I spent total for the doctors visit and skin care over $400 and they treated me like this?! I understand that not all products work for everyone but when you complain after getting professional advice and guaranteeing good results its just frustrating when the staff is rude to you when you dont see good results. Also while I waited for an hour to be seen I heard ALLLL the drama that was going on in this so called professional office. I did not need to hear all of the bad mouthing about their coworkers in the waiting room. If they talk that way about people they know you can only imagine what they say about their patients. Which I also heard a good bit about that as well. All in all this office is the least professional office I have EVER been in. I would not waste my time or money with this office. There are plenty of other dermatology offices that appreciate their patients and will treat you better than this one.

My experience with The Skin Wellness Center has been in one word, amazing. I am 45-years-old and have had severe eczema since I was a baby that over the years had gotten worse instead of better. Over the years, I have gone to just about every dermatologist in Knoxville who only wanted to put me on steroids or give me shots. A friend of mine, told me to give The Skin Wellness Center a try that they had helped her with her psoriasis and that she thought that they could help me, so at the end of my rope with the eczema and all that it entails, the itching, burning, embarrassment, depression, lack of sleep, I made an appointment. That day, I went in crying as I was so miserable and saw Dani. She was so sweet and compassionate. She gave me something different to try, something old-fashioned, and something that had never been tried on me or thought of in the past by the other doctors I had visited. After a couple of days, my eczema was completely cleared up. It has been two years now and I have had just minimal flares that are simply manageable with cream and not even having to go to a doctor visit except for yearly management. So I have to say that The Skin Wellness Center has truly been a cure for me and such a blessing!!! I will never go to another dermatologist ever... they are simply the best!!!! Melanie Bench

Please beware!! I had the worst experience when going to The Skin Wellness Center. There is an absolute lack of communication between the doctors, staff and the patients. I have never felt so disrespected at a medical practice. I have an embarrassing skin condition which they did not treat with respect. My insurance company approved the expensive procedure and then I get a call from the nurse saying they no longer do this procedure. The call was extremely rehersed. I had to call multiple times and left messages to the nursing staff and the office manager. No one called me back. I continued trying for over a month and the reaction from the nurse was that if I take my records from their practice my insurance company may not approve me for the procedure again. I am so upset that my condition effects my daily life and no one cared. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

The skin wellness center has changed my life. Two months ago I had lost all hope of a life of any kind that did not involve misery, disfigurement, hellish pain, and self loathing. I very much at times wished for death as a release from my seemingly incurable psoriasis. I could not work and my only pleasure was in unconsciousness. Then, I happened upon the skin wellness center, specifically Kim and Dr. Grande. I found hope again, and whats even more surprising is that just a very short time later I am nearly symptom-free. I enjoy life again in ways I thought to be gone from me forever. I quite frankly cant express how thankful I am that I stepped in their doors and spoke with them. Thank you, Dr. Grande, Kim, Jen, and all the staff for everything. I could not recommend The Skin Wellness Center more.

I was diagnosed with Sebbhoric Dermitits by Dr. Overholt. A few weeks later, the medication that I was given started to dry my scalp out and burn my scalp. It was extremely uncomfortable and hurt pretty bad. I wasnt sure what to do because I could barely function. I called Dr. Overholt after hours and she was very rude. She answered and sounded annoyed at the fact that I called after hours. I was at a loss because I had no idea what to do about the dryness and burning of my scalp. She told me that "after hour" calls were ONLY for emergencies, and to just call the office in the morning. She then told me that I called during "dinner time". I really loved this women when I met her at her office, but now I know she has no respect or care for her patients. I will NOT be returning to this office.
