Venius Minton

Most of the staff in this clinic seem to be very friendly, but I feel as if they dont know WTH they are doing. I paid $149 to have a filling 3 months ago, and my mouth still hurts. I have gone in twice to have a desensitizer placed on my teeth to numb the pain; but it only works for maybe 2 days. I went in for another appointment for the dentist to say I needed to have a consult with an endodontist. At my next visit the dental assistant asked if I had any sensitivity to cold or hot liquids, and I replied yes. She then proceeded to apply something similiar to liquid nitro (liquid ice) to my teeth. I almost jumped out of the chair. The endodontist came in, checked my teeth by tapping on them with a metal instrument; again I almost came out of the chair. He then said I needed to make an appointment to have a root canal, and sent me to the front desk to schedule my appointment. At checkout the clerk said I had to pay $100, in order to schedule the endodontist appointment. I am very uncertain as to if I am willing to allow anyone from this ffice to do my root canal.

This will end up being a funny review... so bear with me... I was eating popcorn... and crunched a kernel... and chipped a tooth. The next morning I was driving home and being depressed about said tooth... and passed JSA. They were not my dentist at the time. Went in, they were able to fit me in quickly. Found out I needed a crown. Cried in the dental chair. It was a rough day. They started the work that day, got the temp put in... and sent me on my way. Dr Atkins and her team are awesome. Highly recommended. Only complaint... I was super fragile that day... and the music they had playing was a heavy mix of Adele and Sarah McLachlan and the such.... so... that helped me not cry... a lot lol

I have always been afraid of dentists and so have put off appointments in the past. From the first time I met Dr Atkins, I somehow knew I was in safe hands. Dr Atkins and her staff have always been SUPER pleasant and professional in appearance and practice. Dr Atkins has taken care of all my Dental needs from fillings, to crowns and even my Dental night guard. She is the Dental provider for my whole family, and I would highly recommend a visit for all you Dental needs.

I have had an aversion to dentists ever since I went to the Marquis de Sade as a child. I have to say my experience with Dr. Adkins, Amber and others on her staff was phenomenal. They were patient, gentle and extremely caring. The procedure was "painless" (as an extraction can be, LOL) but all fear and trepidation dissipated under their care. The follow-up phone call to see how I was doing was also appreciated. Absolutely have found my dentist for life!

My original dentist retired, Dr. McMullan. I thought well I will give this new dentist a chance. I met Dr. Atkins and I have gotten to know her and she is very caring about the health of my teeth and gums. I cant say enough about this practice, they make me feel as if Im their only patient. The receptionist and everyone on staff are very personable. I now have my son (hes 28) going there as well. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!!!

As a dental chicken, I postponed services and only visited the dentist as emergencies arose. Never more! Dr. Adkins and her staff are amazing...no shaming, no criticisms, just caring, understanding folks. They also research the most cost effective means to the desired final results. Patients are treated like respected family members by folks who REALLY care. Thank you, Dr. Adkins! You and your staff are awesome!

This dentist is great, very professional, very clean, and explain everything before proceeding. I have 3 kids that i take plus mysefl and we all love it have not had a bad experience yet. The office is neat and clean , very well organized. The staff and doctors are great, always pleasant, understanding, and professional. I would recommentd them to anyone and I promise you would not regret the visit.

C. Baker - 10/12/11 I really enjoyed my experience. This was my first time there and I must say the place was very clean and had a nice modern decor. From the front desk to the xray analyst, everyone was very professional and courteous. Love my hygienist, Holly who explained everything before doing an assessment. Will certainly recommend to others.

She has never been a patient of the prior McDonough Family Dental Associates OR THE NEW OFFICE JSA DENTAL CARE. She must have mixed up the "McDonough" part of the office name with another office.
