Ive struggled with Crohns disease for over 15 years and have been through multiple surgeries and medications to control the symptoms of this debilitating disease without any significant results. I had become despondent and discouraged about the quality of my life and how much worse it would get. Then, I went to an informational session hosted by Dr. DeBarros where he explained chiropractic care and how it affects your whole body. I signed up for an initial examination and explained to him about my medical struggles. I fully expected him to say that there was nothing that he could do for my stomach issues but instead he surprised me by listening intently, extending his sympathy and offering to work with me to improve the quality of my overall health! Ive been a patient of his for about 7 months now and I feel better than I did 20 years ago! Dr. DeBarros and I established an action plan based on what we could control, he and his team have been encouraging and supportive while I made difficult lifestyle changes, and I have seen significant improvement of my Crohns symptoms. Dr. DeBarros didnt just focus on my digestive issues, he looked at me as an individual and treated my overall health. I have recommended this practice to all my family and friends and highly recommend them to anyone reading this post. Not only do I feel better since treatment, but every visit was professional, efficient and encouraging. I always leave his office with a smile and a positive outlook. Let me start by saying that seeing Dr. de Barros has made such an immense turn around in my life since I first came to see him in August 2014. I had to do something about all of the suffering I was still experiencing from a car accident I was in May 2012 after seeing primary care doctor, orthopedic doctors, physical therapists, cortozone shots, etc. At that time I had neck, back, thigh pain along with a sciatic nerve issue and horrible headaches. I was a very active person before the accident and I was still at the point of no exercising when I first went to see de Barros. I am now able to do anything I am willing and in no pain! Family and friends were telling me I really needed to give chiropractic a try. I honestly didnt know what to think about it, but when I first saw de Barros he educated me on the background and answered any questions I had. You can tell right off that he is extremely knowledgeable at what he does and he genuinely wants to make you feel better. Doc and staff are very likable and make a point to know you by name right from the start. I highly recommend Dr. de Barros for Chiropractic care!

Dr. DeBarros and his team are an amazing group. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The care I receive from the doctors is top of the line. I have been a life long migraine sufferer and had 2 car accidents. After my first accident I was in so much pain and literally could not move from the bed for days. Even with all the medications the doctors gave me. I suffered from lower back pain for years and had repeated episodes that put me back in bed. After the last one a friend recommended Dr.DeBarros and his adjustments changed my life. I no longer have lower back issues and my migraines are more manageable. After my 2nd accident I had to wait for 2 weeks before the doctor said I could see them again. As soon as they started adjusting my shoulder I was feeling relief. I am now able to go camping with the scouts and lead a normal life. No longer afraid of my back giving out.

I started with De Barros in 2011 and he helped fix a problem I was having with my neck .I have bones in my neck that are fused together and I have a problem moving my neck. The first time my neck felt so very much better and he worked on it for many more times. Things were very much better and I stopped going. One day I did something that caused me pain in the neck. It was so bad that I could not get out of bed. I have never in 68 years had that much pain .I called early one morning and low and behold Dr. De Barros was there and without a second thought he told me to come in within the hour. I fought my way out of bed and felt like my neck was broke that is how bad it was. Dr. De Barros worked on me one time and I was able to get up and go home. You will never find a more CARING and GREAT person like Dr. De Barros. I thank him every day and also he is great to talk to.

I moved here from Louisiana about 5 years ago and wasnt under chiropractirc care at that time. I was around 61 at the time of my move and didnt have any real health issues at that time.. Dr. deBarros convinced me that I needed regular chiropractric care even without any noticeable health issues. Two things that were noticeable were that I walked with one shoulder higher than the other and that I wore out my shoes more quickly on the inside of the heel. I dont have any of these problems any more. I just generally feel healthier than I did 6 years ago. Im really glad that I made the commitment to regular chiropractric care when I did. It is my opinion that I would have "gotten old" faster than I am.

Im a new patient at deBarros Chiropractic, but my mother has been going for like my whole life. Doctor deBarros is pretty awesome, if youre into handsome, learned doctors that can make your back feel awesome. Stephen works there and he is super cute also and even the girl that works there is cute, so if you base your chiropractic experience on the hotness of the people working there, this is the place for you. Also, everyone is very friendly and super helpful. The office is nice and clean and they have these amazing rolly massage tables that like steamroll your spine and make it feel like jelly. So, I would go ahead an get an exam there if I were you.

I was referred to Dr. deBarros Chiropractic by another physician for my mid/lower back pain. Before visiting a chiropractor, I didnt know what to expect.I was fearful.But I knew I needed to have something done about my back pain. When I finally decided to visit the office, I found that the staff and Dr. deBarros were extremely welcoming and they made sure that I was at ease. Dr. deBarros and his staff are very pleasing. Dr. DeBarros narrowed down the problem, educated me, and is treating my pain. He is honest and make sure his patients are comfortable. I have been bragging about this practice. deBarros Chiropractic is the best!!!!!

Everyone is so friendly and helpful! I learned the reasons for certain issues I was having was due to my neck issues. Ive been going to see the doctors here for three weeks now and already notice a difference in my movement. In addition, I learned I have mild scoliosis, which Im taking care of now so I dont have issues when I am older. Finally, I really want to get rid of my allergies if at all possible. Whatever move Dr. Pauli did last week seriously opened up my sinuses and I was actually breathing better, so A+ for that! Absolutely recommend for everyone, and I dont even live in Mechanicsville!
