I can only speak of my personal experience at Vision Source, but it wasnt great. The showroom/waiting area looks quite nice, but when I was there it had an off-puttingly quiet, library-like vibe that was strangely uncomfortable. The staff was pleasant, but unremarkable. The eye exam itself was fine, but there was an odd moment during which Dr. OBrien asked if I wanted her to do some eye scan (I forget the name). I paused, confused by the question – shes the doctor, and I assumed shed be making the call on what needed to be done. Then she lamely explained that it cost extra and wasnt covered by insurance. Thats not her fault, of course, but the exchange was just awkward. She didnt push too hard on the upsell, but I was left feeling like a schlub who didnt care about his own eye health, since I didnt want to shell out the extra money for an add-on. Afterward, I returned to the showroom, where I was assisted in selecting frames. This is usually the fun part, but once again... the vibe was just so deadpan, I felt like I needed to hurry up, pick the frames and get out. Everything about the experience from the time I entered until the moment I left just felt... awkward. Thats a completely subjective description, but I honestly didnt feel at ease there. A week and a half or so later, I got a phone call saying that my glasses were ready. I stopped by on my way home from work, and tried on the glasses. Eager to just get out, I said they looked fine (they didnt) and left. Once I got home, I tried them on in front of a mirror, and was disappointed. They looked horrible. I cant imagine they are the frames that I actually selected, since they looked completely wrong... but I stupidly didnt take a photo of the sample frames (or myself wearing them) on the day I picked them out. As a result, I had no _proof_ they werent the frames Id chosen. Adding insult to injury, everything looked worse with the glasses on. My vision isnt that bad to begin with, Im a bit nearsighted, but I havent ever consistently worn glasses. These were 75% just a fashion accessory. But putting the glasses on made everything harder to see. Maybe the lenses were created wrong, maybe the prescription was wrong... who knows. In the end, I have new glasses in a case... which is buried at the bottom of my desk drawer at work. I will never wear them because they look awful and make my vision worse. This entire experience is as much my fault as anyones, I suppose — for not being more careful in documenting the frames I picked, and for not being more assertive that the lenses or prescription didnt seem right. But I just didnt want to spend any more time there than I had to. I suppose Ill try this again next year — at a different establishment.

Almost a year ago my 4 year old was traumatized by an eye exam. I was very nervous about going to another, but Dr. OBrien and her staff where absolutely wonderful. Even when I son screamed because he was afraid or had an outburst I never felt judge. They were so patient and kind. Just from the start being checked in was wonderful. Dr. OBrien explained everything about our eye health. The most memorable moment was when she came in placed false glasses on my son, when he realized how much his vision had improved and that he could see I was so touched by his reaction. Even when it came time to pick out our frame they worked so closely with my son so that he was able to pick frames that he liked. He was given an IPad while I picked my frames to keep him busy. I can honestly say that I will never go anywhere else and will recommend this office to all my friends and family, even strangers if I hear they are looking.

Vision Source of GVR is the best provider of vision services I have used in over 20 years. Dr. OBrien is a true professional. She has me in the most comfortable contacts that I have used in 20 years. She took the time and modified the contacts until they were the best fit with 20/20 vision. I have been in contacts for over 40 years and I am not easy to fit. She also helped me with my dry eye problem and the program she has me in has taken care of this issue. She did a superb job in all facets of my eye care! Thomas Cervantes is a great optician. He has adjusted my glasses to make sure they have the best fit. Recently, my frames broke and Thomas fitted my lenses into "loaner" frames until my replacement frame arrived. Service above and beyond what is normal! The rest of the staff is friendly and welcoming. This office is a first class provider of vision services!

I scheduled an anual eye exam because I reciently moved to Colorado and my eyes have been itchy and my insurance allows one annual check without copay. Upon my appointment I checked in with reception and was taken back for an eye exam to which the eye doctor said its atributed to some calcium buildup under the eyelid and suggested I use some drops with antihistimen and if the problem persists then it could be removed surgically. When I left there was no copay and everything was great until I get a bill in the mail saying my insurance will not cover the exam, I called my insurance and they said the office billed it as a medical procedure and I needed to contact them.... Well I did and they said that it was a medical procedure so Im stuck with a bill for $99 dollars. I will never use their service and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Exallent service. Very accommodating and kind professionals. I havent had a vision service done in a very long time. They made me feel so welcome, and comfortable. This was also my first time buying a pair of glasses, and it was such a great experience. They have so many frames to choose from. My experience was wonderful and Im so happy I decided to go here out of all the other options I had been previously looking at. I will certainly be referring my friends and family.

Staff are more of sales person here with lack of experience in customer service. My entire family goes here but now it is time to change. DRs are very nice and friendly. Staff here needs to understand glass are more of peoples need then wants. Stop making excuses and get things done right the first time and start delivering service in timely manner. I do not recommend doing any business with Vision source of GVR. Horiable experience with staff here every time.

Vision Source has very nice and friendly employees. They make you feel like you are family. I like that it is small as I always get personalized service. I never wait more than a couple of minutes. Prices are good and you get a good explanation of all charges before you pay. They are right next to where I work so it makes it convenient for me. I often refer people I know to this office.
