Dr. Rachel and her staff are a breath of fresh air amongst all veterinarian clinics. First off all they are very knowledgeable from the receptionist to the vet techs and second of all they never try to push you into buying a special diet or supplement they happen to sell. We love the fact that dr. Rachel will think outside the box and is able to combine west and eastern medicine. We had been struggling with our Kitty who had an allergic reaction to something for 3 years. Her tummy was totally inflamed no fur left on her tummy and she was itching like crazy. After spending thousands of dollars at an other vet clinic, switching to Irvington has been the best thing I ever did. The staff took care of our kitty for 3 weeks while dr. Rachel worked her magic. She thought outside the box and found a medication that worked for our Nyx. We re so grateful that they gave our girl her life back! No mire itching and she even has fur on her tummy again. They take care of all our pets, 2 dogs and 3 cats and I can highly recommend them!

I cant say enough about this Vet. Over the last 15 years, I have been to a lot of different Vets for my pets, and the level of connection and care I have received at this office is exceptional. The staff is grounded and genuinely care about the way they help people. And Dr. Rachel was exceptional at explaining to me all of my options with my cat who was diagnosed with SCC (mouth cancer). Where the other vet I was seeing just gave me an old, barely effective pain killer to help him through the rest of his days, Dr. Rachel gave me options of a much more effective and non-invasive pain killer (patch vs. syringes) and it has completely shifted my cats final days from despairing to happy and loving. I love that this vet clinic offers Acupuncture and Naturopathic care alongside Western Allopatic care, and that unlike other Naturopathic vets Ive experienced - they keep their prices fair and reasonable. I really appreciate that and Im so grateful what they have provided for me and my kitty.

I cant speak more positively about my experience with this group. My fella and I came with our cat as a general check-up due to the fact she had been living in Costa Rica and should be checked on. Their care to give gentle advice backed up with multiple solutions was impeccable. Their real care for our cat was out of this world. Our cat, Belinda, was to have a blood draw and two shots along with a microchip installed. They chose, because our cat was unsettled to postpone putting in the chip and in doing so didnt charge us for our follow-up visit for putting in the chip. They chose to care about our cats mental well-being. I cant believe how lucky we are to have found a vet AND vet tech that truly care about the physical and mental health of our cat. Thank you.

Love Irvington vet! My 13.5 year old border collie Sammy has had some health issues over the last six months and Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Rachel have taken great care of her. They are very patient with her, do all the exams on the floor, and have been excellent at treating her arthritis as well as the vestibular syndrome she had. They even do acupuncture in house! The techs and receptionists are all very kind and fuss over Sammy too. This clinic is equally great at dealing with my rambunctious, reactive 2-yr old BC, letting him wait in the car until the lobby is clear and he can go straight to a room. So happy to have found this place!

We were from out of town and our dog Esprit was in severe distress on a Saturday, and Dr. Rachel Austen, who was only supposed to be open until 1PM, stayed until 7:30 PM to complete Esprits surgery. We cant say enough about Dr. Rachel and her entire crew who virtually saved our dogs life. We were from out of town on a road-trip vacation, and from now on, whenever were in Portland, Oregon, Irvington Veterinary Clinic is our vet! Jarion Monroe

My oldest friend was having major issues. The other Veterinarians wanted him on C/D Hills pet food. This food is garbage in my opinion . We moved both cats to a raw meat diet and some other low cost remedies to much success . My 14 year old buddy acts like a 10 year cat now!!! Awesome staff and I dont have to look at shelf after shelf of Eukanaba and Hills pet food being pushed on me. Thank You Irvington Vet Clinic !!!

My favorite very experience, and my pups as well. Very friendly and helpful staff from reception to the doctors. Its integrated medicine, so they give you an option of natural homemade or compounded herbal formulas to Western medicine when they can, as well as their cost, effectiveness, and side effects before you decide. Not to mention tons of free grain free treats from Saltys and DAP throughout the whole place.

Dr. Rachel is honest, caring, and straightforward. Our geriatric schnauzer has a variety of issues, and I totally trust Dr. Rachels advice. Surgery last year gave Sally another year of running and barking. These folks are kind, professional, and pet centered, and I appreciate their attention to detail; I never have the sense of being rushed through a "revolving door."

I have taken my pets to many Portland Vets over the Last 17 years. I am vary satisfied with the entire staff at Irvington Vet Clinic. They may cost a tiny bit more, but always discuss options beforehand. My pets and I both love their location. Only room for improvement: I wish they could also take care of my companion rabbits as well.

Dr. Rachel and her staff are the best! She worked with me through two difficult experiences with my cat, and when it came time to say goodbye to him, Im so glad I was with her and her staff. They are all gentle, patient, experienced, and most of all, devoted to animals. We will take all of our pets to her and recommend her to everyone.

I cannot say enough about this place. The employees are kind, Dr. Rachel is amazing. I have had nothing but good experiences. All my pets are Irvington Vet pets. I love the eastern and western pet medicine approach and really appreciate the price lay outs they give you so you can pick what works best for you. YAY!

Dr. Rachel and her staff are wonderful! The clinic is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. My furry family loves coming in especially because they always get toys,treats, and lots of TLC. Dr.Rachel takes the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I am so thankful we found IVC!

Vet clinic unlike any other! I was first time dog owner when I took my wolf hybrid in. The staff was very knowledgeable with all the questions I threw at them without ever haggling me to buy some random service or product. I definitely would recommend them to my friends and family
