They fit me in first thing in the morning even though they were completely booked up and even though I was a first time customer. They put my sick kitty, Mario, straight into a room, and saw him between other appointments. The building isnt modernized or fit with high-tech gadgets, but the care my kitty received was absolutely amazing, which trumps the other things in my mind. Dr. Lili explained everything very clearly to me, and helped me understand the plan of care. She even took the extra time and personally ensured that my pet insurance forms were completed the same day. I plan to make them my main vet clinic for both my pets, even though they are 35 minutes out of my way. I am so grateful!

Although I am sad about the circumstances of my visit, I am very happy to have now found my local veterinarian. I highly recommend anyone in the area to bring their pets to BBVH. The staff is very polite, caring, and professional. They provide upfront quotes and are very transparent about their costs, which I appreciate. If only the human health care system was modeled after their business... lol. Surprisingly my dog Zarah, normally aggressive toward strangers, responded very well to the staffs loving demeanor. They won the heart of my dog, and for that I am a loyal customer. Zarah and I look forward to visiting Barbur Boulevard Veterinary Hospital for checkups under more normal circumstances.

A few weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my dog after almost 15 years. It was an emotional experience and I could not be happier to have gone through that experience at the Barbur Blvd Vet Hospital. We had not been there previously as we had recently moved closer into town. I wish we had found them sooner. Their level of professionalism was absolutely at the top, but it was clear they really cared. I really felt they guided me through this emotional experience and I have no doubt that it was the right decision. Assuming that we have another dog join our family at some point I will not hesitate to go back to Barbur Blvd Vet Hospital.

Continuously being told my treatment options were limited to steroids and antibiotics for my extremely allergic dog, just did not settle well with me. Dr. Ewing at Barbud Blvd. Vet Hospital was willing to delve into, and investigate the root of His allergies, more thoroughly than I have seen anyone do before. The whole staff seemed to be excited to go the extra mile to solve our problem. Needless to say, they were compassionate and personable. Even though their facility may not be as technologically savvy as others, there is no substitution for the wonderful medicine they perform.

I drive from NE Portland to bring my dog here just because of how wonderful the staff are. Dr. Alexandra and Dr. Michelle and all of the vet techs treat me and my dog like family. My dog loves coming here because of all the attention he receives. They are also always able to fit us in last minute when my dog gets sick which both I and my floor rugs appreciate big time! I am so thankful for this vet.

I am so happy to have such a wonderful vet family so close to my home. Radar had a bad vaccine reaction when we first moved here and they treated him immediately even though it was closing time. Both our dogs drag us into the office and are so excited to see everyone, even after having been left for procedures. We give Barbur Vet five waggy tails!

I highly recommend their services, especially when it comes to preparing an animal for transport to areas with strict quarantine. Shipping my kitty to Hawaii had many hoops to jump through, but Angela made everything go smoothly. I really appreciate their hard work from preparing documents to applying vaccinations. 5 stars!

I brought my dog to another vet, and they couldnt tell what was wrong with him. They wanted to do $800+ worth of tests to figure it out. I brought him to this vet, and the moment the vet walked in the door she had him diagnosed. She prescribed him $45 worth of meds and had me buy him a harness and he was better in no time.

Excellent service and excellent staff. Weve been taking our Old English Sheepdog here for over a year - since she was 8 weeks old. Dr. Alexandra and her assistants are friendly, professional, and experienced - and their Pepper Club has saved us a lot. We cant imagine taking our little Baylee anywhere else.

Our new vet! Professional care, ethical pricing and pricing practices, friendly & expert staff. They even offered to let us drop off our puppy to the vet with no appointment just so the puppy could have a pleasant, fun vet experience. For appointments, they got me in fast and saw me on-time.

These are the nicest Vets going! My dog has terrible vet anxiety and aggression, and we had our only calm visit here. They specialize in worried pets and I cant express what a relief it was to me to have found a safe place to bring my dog. 10 stars if it was possible.

Great staff, efficient, and friendly. The in house Peppercorn Plan is a way to go since my dog is older and requires more visits. The plan really helped with my budgetary needs, especially when it came to random and unexpected Veterinarian visits.
