I have been a regular customer since adopting a kitten in November of last year. Being new to the area, I looked for recommendations and all of the reviews I had read seemed positive. The receptionist was extremely friendly when I called to make an appointment and clearly explained the costs involved and where the clinic was located. When I arrived, I was able to park directly outside and was impressed by the well decorated reception area, complete with Keurig coffee machine! The animal print artwork was eye-catching. I was greeted by Rachael, the friendly receptionist who immediately took me into an examination room and a nurse arrived shortly after. The nurse weighed and took a history of my kitten and made us both feel relaxed. Dr. Mackowiaks enthusiasm when he entered the room was infectious! He bonded with my cat immediately and was so compassionate, with a genuine love for animals. I was impressed with how easily he built a great rapport and I loved his sense of humor! When I initially read their slogan "Unlike any vet youve ever met", I thought, yeah right, but to be cliche - Dr. Mackowiak is truly unlike any vet I have ever met! Since that first visit in November, we now have a Red Heeler puppy who is also a regular at Heartfelt. Every visit has been exceptional. Even though the clinic is busy, I am never rushed and feel like Dr. Mackowiak has all the time in the world. The staff know our pets by name and treat them like family. The costs are reasonable and transparent. I am always informed what the cost will be before any treatment has been started and feel like I am involved in the care. Having an accident prone cat, I feel thankful to have found a vet who is honest and most importantly, that I trust. My cat was spayed this week and is the reason I am prompted to take the time to write this review. The level of care I experienced is extraordinary. I dropped my cat off in the morning and was told I could pick her up after 4pm. At 11am I received a phone call just to let me know the operation went well and that she was fine. When I arrived, I was shown exactly how to administer her pain medication and given detailed instructions to take with me on how to care for her. The following day I received a call just to see how she was doing and was asked if I had any questions. I have had a lot of beloved pets in my lifetime, but never have I received a call just to check how my little girl was feeling. I would not hesitate to recommend Heartfelt Veterinary Hospital to my family or friends. The service is exceptional on every level and I cant imagine ever finding another vet like Dr. Mackowiak!

Ive been taking my pets to Heartfelt Vet for about a year, and I also volunteer for a rescue group that brings their dogs here. so I feel like Ive got a lot of experience with Heartfelt. Im to the point where Im so frustrated with this place that Im going back to our old vet, even though theyre two hours away from our new house. The staff here is pretty good. I really like the vet techs, especially Helen. Helen is a peach. The clinic is very clean and modern. I feel like theyre the type of vet thats great if youre a new client, and not so great if youve been there awhile. They are expanding their practice, so details get dropped when businesses grow. I understand how that goes. I just dont want to be on the receiving end of sub-standard customer service, and thats how its feeling these days. We had a 35 minute wait for a 15 minute vet appointment one day, while sitting in a room listening to loud construction noises, because the vets office is expanding to next door. It was deeply unsettling to my dog, and completely unnecessary. Also, the Dr. has this frustrating habit of putting "extras" on the front desk, and then having the receptionist hand them to you, or ordering extra treatments that you havent agreed upon with him. This adds roughly 10% to your bill each time, which adds up over time. The last straw was scheduling an appointment, and then having them change the time, and send a confirmation without even asking if that was okay. The confirmation was sent just two days before the appointment, even though I scheduled it last week. When I said we could be there at the time we originally scheduled, they said they were sorry, but that time wasnt available. It was available when I scheduled, but not now. Who were we bumped for? I think Dr. Mackowiak is a fairly competent doctor.. Hes friendly and gentle. Hes not a bad person. These seem like little issues, but when youre spending a significant amount of money and time for your pets healthcare, the issues add up.

There are few things in this world that I love more than my fur-babies. My eldest cat is 21 years old and she is the light of my life as weve been together since I was a preteen and she was a little, mewling fluffball of a kitten. I come from the clinic industry, myself, but some things you just need a vet for. My previous vet retired and I was displeased with her replacement at my old clinic. So I went a-hunting. I was introduced to Dr. Kimmel and enjoyed my first appointment with her so much shes now my go-to for all my cats. But this is why I love Heartfelt. 6 weeks ago I went in for what I knew was going to be hard and sure enough my dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. Dr. Mackowiak was amazing. He was genuine and he didnt pressure me into anything I didnt want to do or use scare tactics like other vets have done before to me. He is honest, upfront and respects my own experiences in the industry. Despite the 20 minute drive for me, Ill continue bringing my furbabes to these doctors and highly recommend anyone to them. The quality of service is what youre paying for and it is worth every penny.

i do NOT recommend this vet clinic. I payed for a kitten bundle plan and was told that when the plan was close to expiration, i would be contacted to use up the remainder of perks that came with the plan. well they never called me, and updated my plan to an adult plan without my consent and charged me extra. when i called to question it, they said my kitten plan expired so they just updated it. to say the least i basically lost a total of $300 worth of vet services. they are nice and friendly but when it comes to paying about $450 to a vet and only receiving $100 worth of the bundle plan services, customer service means nothing. also, when i had my cat spayed, they told me there would be no extra fees, that the kitten plan covered everything. but when i went to go pick up my cat, they charged me $115 for pain medication. i would not recommend this vet at all. they may be clean and friendly but i felt as though they are not trustworthy nor efficient when it comes to keeping clients updated on services, that are, not only expensive but already payed for.

Im pretty disappointed with this place. I brought my dog here as it was really close the apartment I was living at, and they seem to have good reviews. My biggest complaint about Heartfelt is the constant upselling. I feel like every time Im there Im going through a timeshare presentation and being sold things that are not necessary to my dogs health. Also got pushed to buy a "plan" that Im really regretting now. Shouldve just said no. Also, the wait time was always at least 15 mins, regardless of when I showed up for my appointment. And I rarely saw an actual vet. I think there was only one time they even took him to a back room! All was done in the waiting room. Just overall really bummed with this place. Cant wait till I use up that "plan". Im hoping at least I can cancel it without a huge headache, but Im not optimistic.
