A couple of weeks ago, our Gracie had surgery here at Mountain View veterinary hospital as she had a small lump (which turned out to be non-cancerous, even though the vet told us she was "95% sure" it was Cancer) and to be spade. When we went to pick up Gracie, we were asked by the woman who brought her out if we wanted one of those plastic cones that go over her head so that she cannot lick or mess with the incision site. We said sure. Never were we told that we had to PAY for this piece of plastic with a string. As we were driving home, we got a call from Mountain View stating that there was a $7.67 charge for the plastic cone and that we needed to pay that. I was stunned. Ive owned dogs my entire life and have had several procedures done on them over the years and never was there a charge for the plastic cone. I didnt know what to say so I told her to just send a bill in the mail, which they did....immediately. Well, yesterday, we went to pick up our other dogs prescription and were told that we couldnt have it unless we paid the $7.67 charge for the plastic cone. Unbelievable. This is REALLY bad, bad business. Not a good way to run things. I am extremely unhappy and more than likely, will not use Mountain View again. They are skinflints and if theyre going to nickel and dime me like this, I will take my business elsewhere. Im not a fan of the vet weve seen, anyhow. Some time ago, I took our shih-tzu in there as he was lethargic. This same vet told us that she was "85% sure" that he had neurological problems and recommended a neurologist. Between the MRI that was recommended and Gracies surgery, we paid $2,400 to find out both of them were absolutely fine. Never, ever again will I trust this place. They are more concerned with money than they are with providing care for pets.

Exactly how does a perfectly healthy and playful dog go in there for a damn check up and nail trimming under sedation only to die 24hrs later?!?! Especially when all of his blood work "came back normal." Maybe one of your "doctors" could explain this to me and any other potential victims that might think about bringing their family member to you idiots

Very friendly staff and they always try to get you in when they can. I had a little Doxie who was paralyzed named Reesee for 11 years. Mountain View Veterinary Hospital assisted my family in making her quality of life and ours better. Its an understatement to say they went above and beyond with their compassion, caring, and very friendly service.

The staff are wonderful they make you feel like family, each vet is friendly and thorough. Its a real homey atmosphere fair prices and they also give discounts when you have more than one dog in at a time or you get more than one service in a day its always a welcomed surprise!

Very reasonable prices. Great care for my pup. When I walk in they know him by name and like to say hi before they remember that hes deaf. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and even flexible to help maintain good care plans.
