I went here 6 years ago and saw Heather Onoday for laser hair removal. She is very friendly and professional. The hair removal worked better than any laser hair removal Ive had in the past. I chose OHSU because lasers can be very dangers and cause permanent damage if done incorrectly. The scheduling 6 years ago was easy...but the front desk was never friendly. Fast forward 6 years and I need another round, almost all the hair is back. This isnt a "touch-up" this is full batch of hair growth! So I have my first session and get up to the front desk to schedule my next appointment and pay (each session is $150--and this is a SMALL area). Laser hair removal has to be done every 4-6 weeks for it to work and Heather Onoday, actually just told me that 4-6 week schedule is very important and may have been the reason so much hair is back---we have to get the hair at a specific stage of growth....4-6 weeks. But upon scheduling there are no appointments within 4-6 weeks....OK.....so now what? Nothing. The front desk girls are rude, sassy, unfriendly and not helpful. When I walked in I saw one of the front desk girls speak rudely to a sweet older gentleman and it broke my heart! Im paying $150 per session, for a treatment that only works if done every 4-6 weeks...youd think their front desk staff would understand the treatment protocol and at least try to be helpful. If I cant get in within the required time I wish they wouldnt have done the treatment until they could schedule my follow up visits. I feel like I wasted $150. But I booked my third appointment anyway and was told I can be put on a wait list to get in for my second appointment. But to be put on their wait list was a process. It took a nurse to call me back and me complaining, which I hate to do, but I want this to work! I was told I didnt waste my money "because I was still treated" and Id be put on a wait list. I told the nurse that the front desk girls were rude and their office really shouldnt set appointments like these without making sure the follow up visits are booked/available for their patients. Who knows if my feedback matters....but Im going to finish it up and after this round find a new laser hair removal place. Sad to see this place went so south. I really like Heather Onoday! I get questions all the time about where to go for laser hair removal in my line of business. There arent very many informative reviews out there so that is why I am posting this one. Hope this helps someone! If you go here BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENTS WAY OUT AND AHEAD OF TIME.

Well, as people say, they have a great view. I think that is what you pay for. People in the office are pleasant enough, but I dont think they gave me a good skin check. We live in the tropics, so our skin is important. I had to show them the places where there were problems on my face. Again, we had to point out something on my wife back under the bra (they didnt look) and then they sliced it off for biopsy...Dr. said "if we dont call that means everything is OK." What if they lose the sample or something? We paid cash out side at the desk $410 with a cash discount! and they arent going to call us? Mine was "only" $200. Then we get a bill in the mail for another $216 for my wife!! I call... lots of messages about recording for quality etc... and I might have to hold because they are busy... finally I get someone who is very non-plused about my new bill. after checking her system... I should call some other office to find out.... I will also say that they were not able to give me my records and signed me up for some special online "Mychart" well... our charts are not there. So, now we understand why Insurance is so much and why people cant afford health care. Because we are paying for the 16th floor and not getting any value for our dollars... For this money, we could have flown to Fort Lauderdale to see a real skin doctor (Nelson Charlie) who does a thorough exam of the whole body, even between your toes... and charges $100 if you pay cash. Sorry, doesnt have a great view from the office windows... ah well.

I have a history of Melanoma in my family and the MA said that the dr would be giving me a thorough examination. The dr came in and rushed through it. I wasnt there 10 minutes and she only looked at my face and not the area of my concern. She rushed me out with no time for me to ask questions. Ill never go back.

After my second MOHS surgery for carcinoma I am even more enthusiastic about the quality of care from this department of OHSU. The sizable staff is a well organized professional team. Even more important is that the entire staff reflects the caring attitude of the surgeons. Highly recommended!

OHSU is the best in medical care....once you get to a doctor. It is difficult to get thru all the phone contacts/hoops to have to go thru but the medical treatment is worth it.
