My child was a patient for 5 years and my second who is 3 years old now. At the beginning of our visits we saw Dr. Cotton on every visit, after 1 year I used to see him every other visit and reduced to see him every 5 visits. There is a practicioner nurse who is the one who does the check ups. They had a nurse who always hurted my kid when doing shots and after 2-3 times I told another nurse that I didnt want her to do it anymore so she was the one who did it. They were always nice overall. Dr. Cotton is a great doctor but when I made appointments to see my kids it was the practitioner nurse who did the check ups instead the Doctor because he was not in the office. I called on a Friday and the following Monday and left a voice message trying to make an appointment with no reply at all. The message systems says they closed at 7:30pm on Mondays, and the website says 7:00pm. So I decided to get off 30 min early from work so I can pick up my child at home and drive 1 hour to make it on time and wait at the office as a Walk-In. I showed up on Monday at 5.15pm and after knocking the door a nurse came out to tell me it was closed!! She said that they closed at 4:30pm every day. I was very angry and upset that they are advertising the wrong office schedule. Im switching Pediatrician ASAP where the Doctor can have the time to meet me and see my kids instead of a Nurse.

I took my daughter in today, after signing my paperwork and waiting the front desk worker informed me my payment would be $160( i was floored) I asked why so much? she said first time patience fee is $145 and her urine test is $15. I stood stunned $145 because she is a first time patient really? I asked how was that fee calculated. She grabs a big black book and holds it in the air and says; its in here". My first thought was well thats not helping the public a fee like this should be posted all over your office, website, and also relayed to the patient at the time of making an appt etc. She asked me if I wanted to speak with their office manager as if that would make me be ok with the fee. Office manger comes out explained the same garbage as the other lady. After a few minutes speaking with her she gets a tad frustrated and say" I feel like Im repeating the same thing over and over" I wanted to say you probably are and so what if you are. Its you job to be able to show me IN WRITTING your fees, because what you are trying to sell Im not buying. The damaged was done once she decided to come take over. DO better!!

I have been using this doctor for my children for the past 9 months. Today I had a new nurse practitioner to exam my 7 year old son and 9 month old daughter, who has been seen here since birth. They staff knows me and my children and it really hurt me today when I asked the new nurse about a mark on my sons back and she stated it looked like a bruise and called Dr. Cotton in to look at it too. I was accused by both of them of child abuse and reported to DFACS!!!! Why would I abuse my child, bring him in and ask about the mark???? I was told by Dr. Cotton that it was "odd" that the OLD scars on my sons back were suspiciously oval shaped, when you could clearly see they were old scabs that healed and NOT bruises!!! I think more attention should be paid to the parents who neglect children not to ones who, even when parent tired and not feeling well, takes the time to make sure their children are seen by doctor, getting the shots and dr care that they need. I am a stay at home, work from home single mother who loves her children. They are respectful and intelligent and God will get the glory out of this one!!!!

My kids have been patients here for almost 4 years now but since then there is a constant change in the front office staff and medical assistants. Ms. Gayla is absolutely wonderful so is Dr. Cotton but their office is staff is very, unprofessional and not attentive to your questions or concerns at all. They are very rude and I was able to overhear a conversation where the staff was laughing at someone who they thought had a herpes sore. WOW!!! They need to be taught customer service etiquette and be more discreet with their conversations and opinions of patients. The wait time to schedule appointments is just ridiculous. The office and medical staff is the only reason for my rating of 1 star. But Ms. Gayla on the other hand, we travel over 45 minutes to be seen by her. She is personable, thorough and always answer any questions that you my have. She has been the GREATEST addition to the Kids & Teens team thus far.

MY DAUGHTER IS 15 YRS OLD SHE HAD BEEN GOING TO DR.COTTON SINCE SHE WAS 4 SHE LOVE THIS MAN AND HIS STAFF AND SERVICE SHE HAD NOT BEEN IN THE LAST 2 yrs due to my transportation and insurance reasons with the fees but i am lookin forward to her returning.. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR.BYRON COTTON FOR BEING A GREAT GOOD SPECIAL DOCTOR.....

I moved to Georgia from Alabama and we went through 3 pediatricians before we found this place about 2 years ago. I am extremely picky when it pertains my child and his well being. I immediately fell in love with this practice. The nurse Gayla is very pleasant and genuinely cares about these kids. The entire staff is great.

They could be better with answering the phone. And placing ppl. On hold and giving better feed back. From doctor I just think they are very unprofessional. Nurse touched door,trash, etc and still didnt change gloves I thought this was very unsanitary, thinking where did she go to SCHOOL.

Horrible service. My daughters pediatrician recommend this place for her ear piercing. My appointment was at 11 and we are still waiting at 11:43. Go somewhere else if you dont want to be waiting a long time. I go to oakhurst pediatrics and never had to wait past my appt time
