We have nothing but the best to say about Dr. Hicks and his staff at Palm Desert Pet Hospital. Dr. Hicks truly cares about animals and is not just there to make a buck like some vets weve encountered in the valley. Yes, the facility could use some updating but that just makes me think that we arent being charged overinflated prices to pay for something that truly makes no difference in the care of our pet. Yes, its also very busy. We are happy to wait patiently for a vet who is going to spend as much time with our fur baby as needed and not rush us to get the next appointment. We have been bringing our dogs to him for years and would not hesitate to recommend PDPH. Dr. Hicks is dedicated, caring and very knowledgeable and you can rest assured that your pet is in great hands!

This Pet Hospital is HORRIBLE! I moved to the area and was referred to this vet from a neighbor. The nurses and staff are slow, horrible at following through and keeping up on necessary tasks to run a business. They sent me on a plane with a letter stating that my dog was up to date on his vaccinations, only to find out they never gave him his rabies shot. Found this out when I asked for them to send me his paperwork, only to receive (three days later) a bogus document stating that he was a different breed of dog, that he was a female and that he had the shot, when he really was never given it. I am appalled by the way they run their business. I will never go back!

Dr. Hicks and his team have been taking care of my dogs and cats for years. He is highly respected and often referred by people in the community. Last year he saved my Daisys life. She had some kind of infection and I thought she was going to die. Dr. Hicks had her in intensive care, he stayed at her side overnight and treated her personally until she finally started to show signs of improvement and that she was going to live. Everyone I know who takes their pets to him completely trust that their pets are getting the absolute best in care in town. They are the BEST!

One of our pugs was diagnosed with Lymphoma & we were in need of a local Veterinarian. Dr. Hicks was recommended to us by a friend and Im so thrilled we followed their recommendation!!! In my pugs last hours, Dr. Hicks & his staff were extremely caring & sympathetic. They offered hugs, condolences and similar personal stories about their beloved pets. You can tell that everyone there in genuine & truly cares!!! Its soooo hard losing furry friends but I felt both my dog & I were in good hands. Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Hicks and his staff have always been so kind. I have several anecdotes able the level of care and concern. Most recently, tonight, he himself called at 8:00 pm to check on my dog who had just come home from surgery and was having a rough time. His prices are reasonable. His level of care and is priceless! I trust hm completely and he is very "conservative" in his treatment plan, mindful of budget limitations. Dr. Hicks is one of the LAST real vets, not part of a conglomerate. We LOVE DR. HICKS!!

My husband and I have been taking our dogs to this hospital for over 10 years and have received excellent care. A few years ago our puppy ate poison due to the carelessness of a gardener. One of the partner doctors at this hospital took our puppy home with him on a Saturday night in an attempt to save her. That doctor has retired but we have had nothing but great care from Dr. Hicks. The front office staff is busy but they have always been pleasant.

Dr. Hicks and his staff are truly the best. Very caring and gentle. His prices are affordable, but the care and comfort I have gotten over the years is amazing! Never a bad experience. Wonderful doctor! He is very thorough, patience, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. I trust Dr. Hicks completely in the care and the health of my dog.. He is such a great Veterinarian that I wish he could be my doctor! Dr. Hicks also has a wonderful staff they are all friendly, kind, and very helpful. They treat all pets with kindness and love.
