I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I went there seeking help for my dog. She was biting, sometimes situational and other times it seemed to come out of no where. I brought her in to see if medicine would help with her anxiety which seemed to be a possible reason for her biting. (Back story: my dog was adopted by my sister when she was 6month old. She had always been a little off despite coming off as a very loving and lovable dog. Sometimes she would just snap and bite. Eventually it go to the point that she was endangering my nephews, so I took over.) Getting her, we tried going to the vet, this vet Im writing about, first time I saw the Veterinary she pointed the finger at us for her biting that she needed more training and to lose weight. She gave us medicine, but the medicine was for predicting her behavior, despite us telling them it wasnt always predictable. My dogs biting got worst and more unpredictable, despite the training, the weight lose, and the medication. My dog no longer was around children, she lived on a farm, and had consistency with training and diet. We trained her, she lost weight, and gave her, her medicine when she showed signs of anxiety. Yet she still kept biting. It broke me, and when I called the Veterinary saying, "My dog is now an endanger to people. Shes lost the weight, weve had her trained, and her medicine isnt helping. If there is no other medicine that she might be able to take to help her were going to have to put her down." When they called back all they offered was some more suggestions for trainers. We ended up having to put our dog down. We instead went to the Human Society in Boise. The Veterinary there was amazing and so supported. It was clear to this Veterinary in Boise that our dog needed to be put down. She explained that it was possible when my dog was originally rescued that before hand she wasnt properly socialized and as a result had an anxiety problem that caused her to be aggressive. We were so emotional about the situation but the Human Society, in Boise, their Veterinary showed more compassion and understanding of our situation than the Veterinary at Pet Health Clinic. Veterinary at Pet Health Clinic vocalized that the dog was biting because of x,y, and z, and made excuses that my dog was biting for a reason, and blamed us. I had just got my dog at the time and I was proactively seeking help so I didnt have to put her down. I sure didnt want to have to put my dog down and I believe that they could have either prepared us for it or offered better medical help.

place is more than you can expect, the vet does care for your animal unlike many others you may find, Dr. shirely tyson saved our Pomeranian back in 2011 from an enlarged Uterus..this gave her 3 more years to live but we lost her to bladder cancer in october 2014 so we miss her- he hugged my mom when we had to put our female pom down and the staff gave us a sorry card and all signed it to show how much they cared, when we find our new family member well be sure to go with them for a vet- one note is if youre dog does get bladder cancer the only way you can really deal with it is change the dogs diet to slow down the cancer growth down, raw meats, veggies, and fish oil/ and a few benficial herbs help, our dog lived for 357 more days after she was diagnosed with bladder cancer on october 29th 2013, and made it to october 21st 2014- almost a year later so we were thankful for the time we did get to spend with her-

We took 2 kittens to PHC for their initial shots and everything went well. 2 weeks later one of the kittens got a door slammed on it. It was in shock and was having trouble breathing so we called PHC to ask if we could bring it in to have the vet look at it at 1 PM on a Friday. They said sorry they were full for the day and couldnt do anything for us. They refered us to a clinic that was about an hours drive away. We were very disappointed that they couldnt fit us in for an emergency visit. We ended up taking the kitten to Treasure Valley Veterinary. TVV took the kitten in as soon as we arrived and were very helpful. When I called PHC to cancel the appt. to have the kittens neutered their attitude was oh well, we have enough other patients without you. If they wont help out in an emergency Im sure not going to take my pets there for wellness care.

Over Memorial weekend, our 2 year-old dog became very sick, with fever, and would not eat. Dr Shirley and staff were amazing. Called and they got us right in that same morning. Dr. Shirley was very thorough in his examination on Chewee. They were able to do xray, blood, and urinalysis tests in the office and had results in less than an hour. The prices for the tests were very reasonable, as was the price for the examination. Dr. Shirley took time to thoughtfully and carefully explain his diagnosis and proposed treatment for Chewee. We followed the treatment as prescribed by Dr. Shirley and Chewee has fully recovered. It was well worth the drive from Boise to Nampa. You are an amazing veterinarian and staff! Thank you, everyone at Pet Health Clinic!

Dr. Shirley and Dr. Longsworth along with their talented (and lovely) crew just saved my dogs life. Hans the dog was stricken with Salmon Poisoning and nearly lost that battle had it not been for the amazing attention, quick and accurate diagnosis, and tireless treatment that was provided at Pet Health Clinic. This young team of professionals are top notch veterinarians and technicians who, over the years have provided my familys pets the best care and the one-on-one attention you would expect from a small clinic. I would refer any of my friends and family, even strangers to this clinic. It is, far and away the best clinic in the Treasure Valley.

I used to work with Dr. Lana Roberts at a different clinic and have seen firsthand the kind of medical care she provides. She strives for excellence and always goes the extra mile to make sure your pet receives the best care. She is incredibly thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. This is a doctor who really does her research and stays up to date on all of the latest findings and protocols in the veterinary field. She has cared for my pets for a few years now and I have never been disappointed. In my opinion, the quality of her service is unmatched and I will be her client until the day she retires. My pets give her two paws up!

I used to take ask my animals here Dr. Burman was an awesome doctor, she cared a lot about the animals, it was very apparent. After new ownership, my friend took his dog in because he was sick, vet said yes he was sick and to take these pills. Two days later his dog died and the very replied with well its your fault the dog died when I saw an immediate decline in his health we tried calling the vet to get him in two times but waited a day an a half for a reply and the vet assured us he would be fine...he died that night. I will not be taking any of my animals there again.
