Do not go to this place! While the eye exam is fine, they force you to purchase glasses at their place which is very, very expensive. They dont tell you this up front which is even worse. I asked for a copy of my prescription since I was moving away and wasnt going to fill it until I moved. It took multiple calls to get anyone to send it to me. Now I tried to fill it with a company online and I need a measurement of distance between pupils. When I called Optique of Denver to get that, as its not on the prescription, they said they dont give that out unless you come back in and pay $25 - which is obviously not a choice when you move away! They said they will do it for free if you come purchase glasses from them. Im not sure this is even legal so I will be looking into it. I dont know why you think in todays world you can get away with holding back truth and essentially just stealing the clients money. Horrible, horrible place!!

Best eye doctors in town, friendly staff, and great location. I recently was diagnosed with GPC by another eye doctor down near Monaco and Leetsdale and I was extremely unimpressed; I waited more than 30 minutes (even when I had an appointment) and the doctor told me my options were either really expensive eye drops or Lasik. I then went back to Optique of Denver and the eye doctor worked with me for 45 minutes to find another solution besides than prescription eye drops or Lasik. He told me he wanted to exhaust options before considering Lasik. I think the surgery would be great, but I also dont mind contacts, so his advice was good to hear. He made sure I was in the right prescription, and even shared some cool eye facts with me! This place is the BEST optical shop in town. Dont waste your time going to any other eye doctor. They even match prices from 1-800-contacts. You cant beat that. Seriously. Go here.

Wow. I will proudly contribute yet another 5 star rating to Optique! Not only did I finally find my "forever" vision care professional establishment... I scored some amazing new frames! Dr. Schaeffer is one of the top optometrists that I have had the pleasure to work with and Marcial was wonderful in assisting me with selecting my frames. Overall the team is just fantastic and I truly felt like a valued and appreciated costumer. If you are looking for exceptional vision care in downtown Denver - look here!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to Optique of Denver since 2013, initially because of proximity to my home, but Dr. Schaeffer and staff are truly exceptional. When I had issues with my contacts they contacted the Rep and got me a new yearly set at no cost to myself. I had PRK a year ago and the follow up care I received was again exceptional as I struggled a little bit with the procedure. Great selection of frames and sunglasses, and the staff is always happy to help.

Im new to the states and have to get new lenses. Optique is super convenient located at downtown Denver. Dr. Schaefer was my eye examiner and was very professional. Their shop is nice with great eye exam equipment in house. I did not have to purchase frames but the staffs still explained all the different types of lenses to me patiently and how my VSF insurance can applied to my purchase. Simply awesome!

Horrible customer service. They ordered me the wrong contacts, never apologized, and never returned my multiple calls trying to fix the situation. Now, Im trying to order contacts online, but they never provided me with a copy of my own prescription. Ive called them about this matter twice, and each time say theyre going to email it to me. Ive yet to receive an email.

I love going here for my eye exams. Dr. Schaefer is one of the nicest docs Ive ever worked with, helpful, takes the time to explain things. Impressed by the latest eye-exam tech in this shop too. I was upfront and shared Im getting a prescription for Warby Parker glasses, absolutely no pressure to buy frames there. Couldnt recommend more.

Dr. Schaefer and all the staff are very helpful (and super nice). They know their stuff and are also very efficient. I had somewhat of an emergency and they got me in to see the doctor within 15 mins of my call. Gave me a thorough exam and assured me I was fine. Highly recommend them!
