Horrible Customer Service!! I was in about a year ago for an exam and new pair of glasses and it was just fine so decided to come back this year for my contact lens exam. Completely different experience... They no longer validate parking and it took me a while to find a garage that was not full or street space at 12:15 in the afternoon. I showed up about 5 minutes late and the receptionist was totally snotty about it. Then she was trying to get me to sign some form which indicated I would have to pay $190 additional out of pocket. I called her out on it and she was inconsistent in her response. I then called my insurance company and confirmed a $20 copay for eye exam and benefits for $120 towards lenses. As I relayed this information to her she told me that the doctor went to lunch and could no longer see me and they could maybe fit me in tomorrow. Keep in mind I just drove from south of DTC and missed 2 meetings at work in order to accommodate this stupid appt. Finally the lady who fitted me for my glasses last year intervened and tried to get me in sooner. The best they could do was 2 hours later and there was no way I was going to sit and wait for two additional hours at this point. I left and will never go back. There are plenty of other optometrists in Denver and I will go to someone else next time.

Ive been going to Dr. Petrilla at Vision Care Specialists for 3.5 years now and its always been a pleasant, professional experience. She, and the other staff at Vision Care Specialists, are warm and friendly and care about their patients. At my last visit, earlier this month, I needed to pick out new glasses frames - one of my least favorite things to do! Luckily, Paige walked me through some models that fit my face and personality well, and ultimately helped me select frames that we both liked. The welcoming environment makes it hard not to enjoy your time at the eye doctors office, which is not something I thought Id ever say. I found Dr. Petrilla on the recommendation of two different friends, and I would highly recommend her and Vision Care Specialists to others.

On TWO different occasions the person who recorded my appointment made it for the wrong date. ARGG! Im pissed off. When I called and said hey! You keep recording my appointments for the wrong date, I got attitude and was told take the new appointment or drop it. Not, "well look into why this is happening for you." Now Im going back in, on a new appointment because they got my prescription wrong for the left eye of my glasses. What in the hell?? Now, Dr. Kenneth Ridder is *really* great there, but the supporting staff on the phone are beyond ridiculous, and their lens manufacturer, incompetent. Save your self a ton of time, money and literal headaches. Never Again.

Loved my visit here! I researched a lot before finding an eye doc or place to go in Denver. I wear contacts and glasses and am very peculiar about what doctors I go to. It is very clean and nice here and they have all the new state of the art type equipment. I felt like they were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I didnt feel like anyone was trying to rush me in and out. The only downfall (which isnt a huge deal) is that it is downtown so you need to find parking and most of the parking in the area is not free (I think I paid $8 in a public lot a few blocks away). This isnt anything crazy terrible though compared to the great service and experience!

I accidentally got a topical steroid for my skin in my eye and woke up the next morning with pain like Ive never known and vision like I was looking through frosted glass - I had a chemical burn to my cornea. I called the clinic and they got me right in, put numbing drops in to ease the pain, and then sent me home with drops and instructions to keep my eyes closed all day. I woke up the next morning and I was 90% better and 100% by end of day. It was a really scary situation and the staff and doc here couldnt have been better. Hightly recommend them!!

Ive been having my annual eye exam at Vision Care Specialist for three or four years now. The staff is always upbeat and professional. I tend to ask a lot of questions during the exam process, and I always get a clear and complete answer, even as everyone works to keep the schedule moving along on time. Im extremely impressed with Dr. Ridders patience in explaining all elements of my exam. Additionally, its clear that he keeps up with current research and incorporates new and beneficial information and treatments into his practice.

Being tourists (from Germany) my wife was facing issue with her right eye which requested immediate action. I only can praise the services of Vision Care Specialists: - we immediately got an appointment scheduled (within 1 hour after the call) - the diagnosis was complete and down to the point - the medication was appropriate - the total costs were more than reasonable (compared to German standards) Id go there again anytime without any hesitation

I really value the approach that Vision Care Specialists took when addressing my contact lens needs. Ive had issues wearing contact lenses and they gave me three different samples to try at my own leisure. In the past I have had to try all three at the office and I end up with irritated eyes and no sense of what felt good over a long period of time. This approach should help identify the right solution for my prescription. Thanks!

I was a little confused at the beginning because I was told that the retina exam was optional and the doctor said it is mandatory, but after discussing it, they figured it out for me and I really appreciate that. They are well equipped and the doctor I saw was pretty knowledgeable. The frames are little pricey but they have a great stylish selection. They are pretty quick with the orders and the staff is very responsive and friendly.

Ive been going to Dr Warta for a few years now and every visit has been great. Dr Warta was the first eye doctor that Ive had take the time to get my prescription dialed in to what it should be. Many eye doctors have made me feel rushed to figure out which is better 1-2,2-3, etc. The fitting staff is very knowledgeable and Ive always been happy with the pair of glasses I end up choosing.

The check-in desk employee was nice and friendly, the technician was good, and the doctor (Thompson) was personable! Overall it was good, just the check-out employee who helped me order glasses and contacts was awkward and didnt seem to know what she was doing. That, however, was the only poor thing I have to say. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an optometrist downtown.

Dr. Ridder has been my eye doctor at Vision Care Specialists for several years now. He and his staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. If you are interested in Lasik, see Dr. Ridder. He will walk you through the whole process, answer all of your questions, and make sure you are a good candidate for Lasik. No one is on commission in this office and for a good reason.
