That emergency room is the worst Ive ever seen. My husband was there last night and the doctor was ignorant and rude. From behind the curtains the doctor was compalining to the nurses about why my husband came in at 2 am in the morning. BECAUSE HE WAS IN PAIN AND NEEDED HELP??????? and.........what difference does it make what time he came in? DO YOUR JOB and stop complaining. My husband became so disgusted with the way he was being talked about behind his back and how he was treated that he left. He said they made him feel like, "he was bothering them." If you value your loved ones life and safety and want them to get the respect they deserve DO NOT send them to the PROVIDENCE VA EMERGENCY .ROOM!

It seems that 9 out of 10 people that work here hate the people they serve. 1 out of 10 are very nice people who truly care, unfortunately, they cant make up for the attitude shown by all the other staffers. I required urgent care one day and was given the run around, disconnected from the phone at least twice and ended up going to a private urgent care clinic. I paid out of my own pocket for a service my govt promised to me. If this is how "Americas Heroes" are treated, Im scared to see what nationalized health care for the average citizen will be like...

Awful experience. Sat in ER for over 5 hours with many other veterans. Many of us had no answers. As with anyone who sits for hours without answers or acknowledgement we began asking questions, only to be disrespected by the gentleman at check in. He was rude and spoke to us as if we were children. He is the perfect example of someone you do not hire. He lacks professionalism and compassion. This gentleman has no business working with veterans. He has no business working with people in general.

Worst Hospital ever ... to many students practicing with Veterans with lots of medical problems, thrething Vets as a lab rats ...They will not let you change Primary Care Doctors in the VA ... Patience Advocates does not help at all ... I have no doctors in charge of my diabetes, chronic knee pains and other symptoms ... no prescription refills ... and when they prescribed, those medicine may make WORST your health conditions.

My husband is there know and he was trying to get off suboxone himself but couldnt so we thought VA would help him but nope .Some nurses are rude and DOCTORS.we have been together for over 40 years and i have never seen anything like this place. Even the valet people are rude too They work for not the other way around

The quality of care received here is by far the best around.From doctors,nurses,technicians,and cleaning staff the professionalism and care and respect shown supersedes that of many "big named" hospitals. We veterans are fortunate to have this facility located here.

I cant explain the poor reviews of others who have submited. Emergency visits, surgery stays, and routine checkups have been (without fail) professional and courteous. Add in a generous portion of "Thank you for serving" from the staff.

Better then the West Haven facility, the only issue is with RIPTA and the bus stop but thats nothing to do with how awesome the va is working with their patients.

My husband sat there and waited 5 hours in pain before he was seen. That would never happen a regular hospital in the area. I just dont understand it.
