We were referred to Animal Care Clinic due to an unexpected emergency that regular Vet could not perform. Our cat needed to have his leg amputated from a raccoon bite to his lower leg. Animal Care Clinic wanted $2,400 up front cash only. We let them know that at any cost, we wanted to save our pet and that we could come up with a down payment and would gladly sign a contract for payments. They said "We dont do payments, its cash only. We will gladly put your cat down for you and euthanize him if you cant afford the $2,400 today." Their first option other than PAY Up.... Was to put our animal down. Should have been named the "Animal KILL Clinic" Fine... You dont take payments.... But really!?!? Your first option is to kill my animal because of a broken leg? Over money?!? Greed!!! We were fortunate enough to find a loving Vet in Astoria (Columbia Vet) that performed the whole surgery with after care and medicine for $322. The customer care that we received from Animal Care Clinic was poor and quite frankly shallow. No thanks.

I had two cats and two dogs up until recently. Very unfriendly front office staff. Each time I go to animal care clinic it as though they do not remember me and or my pets. It is grotesquely impersonal. I recently lost my dog at their clinic. They had my sign the euthanasia form and hand over my debt card for payment right in front of my dog before procedure. After my dog passed away they did not send any sympathy card, very ODD. Next I had to bring my cat in for abdominal distention just days after my dog died. I had to go back to the clinic for my cat who had abdominal pain and distension. The VET missed diagnosed my cat with constipation, when she had acute pancreatitis all along. This misdiagnosis cost me 300 plus. I took my cat to Dr Frankline DVM in Portland who was able to correctly diagnosed and treated her. I am currently in the search for a new Vancouver WA DMV clinic. Plus the fact they refer all their emergent cases to Columbia River Vet Empty your wallet service should be a RED FLAG.

This place was the worst. I received a recommendation for this place. I took my cat in for a uti problem. I made arrangements for them to care for my cat after his appointment until i got off work. I thought that was the nicest thing, seeing as how i was worried all day at work for my fur baby (even called them on my lunch to check in). Apparently taking care of him meant throwing a pee pad in his carrier and just leaving him in there. I got him home and proceeded to take him out of the carrier only to find the whole bottom in a huge pool of freezing cold pee. My cat was drenched in it! He went in for a uti problem and their solution was to let my cat sit in his pee all day. Its been some time since this accident and i still feel heartbroken when I think of it. Not only bc i trusted them but bc i put by cat in that situation.

We thought after taking our 10 year old baby to the emergency vet that we had no choice but to put her down. We were given really poor options on her care. The next morning the wonderful staff at Animal Care Clinic called us and told us they would save her life...and they did! These people are the most wonderful individuals ever. They know that our pets are considered our children and our family. They cared, they treated us with the utmost respect and I cannot even really explain in words how amazing they were. I have sent everyone I know there for vet care. I will not go anywhere else. Thank you Animal Care Clinic for saving Miss Emma...we owe you so much more for the time you gave to us and the caring you showed to her and to us!

I wouldnt even give them one star. We are a new customer who just got a dog from SW Humane Society, so we were interested in getting a Rabies titer for our dog. I knew Rabies titer would cost some, and so I checked around. Got a quote for $155. Cheapest here in Vancouver, WA. Brought dog in, and told the test now cost $308. The excuse? Oh, we did not know the price went up! We were also interested in testing the tumors thats on the dog. Told by the vet it costs about $20. When the assistance came in with the estimate for us to sign, $20.98 is just for removing the tissue, $200+ for the testing. We decided to take our dog elsewhere, thank you!

Ive been with this clinic for over 15 years its a little bit of a drive to get to for me now but I always make that drive because they always take the time for my pets and that extra mile for them. Ive had two sick cats one with diabetes and now ones with kidney disease and theyre always there to help. They even special order my food in so I dont have to go around town trying to find the PetSmart that may have it in Stock but usually do not. I love my clinic. And the staff always recognizes me and remembers my pets. Feels nice like walking in with friends.

We took our dog Lakota in to see Dr Brandon when she was not doing well. He and his Tech were very good with her. She had a serious problem that turned out to be a liver problem. Because of Dr. Brandon and Animal Care Clinic we were able to get her to the pet hospital in Oregon and she was able to return home with us within a week. She lived 3 more years, just short of 15 when we had her put to sleep. Thanks to Dr Brandon and his staff. We have also taken our cat Buckwheat to him. Love this clinic, I would recommend them to anyone who has animals.

I am a bit concerned that after my dog had oral surgery and a surgical tech. gave me the care instructions. I never saw the veterinarian. I later found out that the practice had a new owner, but that wasnt told to me when I brought my dog in for surgery. When my husband Don brought the dog in for the 2 week check, my dog was taken into the back, had her sutures removed and then the tech. said she was healing well. During this entire process the Vet never showed her face. This is strange!

The people here are super friendly and very helpful. My dog all of sudden was in pain going potty, to the point of howling in pain as she went. We were new to the area and took a chance. The whole team was wonderful from the receptionist who got us in quickly, the nurse that was very gentle and the vet that check every possible cause. He even did an ultrasound that came up negative so he didnt charge me. Turns out my pup sprained her tail. I will be returning for her yearly check ups.

Just a few weeks ago we had to put our sweet Biscuit "down". The Staff met our family at the car with genuine empathy. They had a large room set up for us and since a hot day had a fan to keep the room comfortable. Dr. Lamb was so tender and loving with us and our dog. He is gentle and kind. They sent a sympathy card that conveyed warm messages from each one. He gives professional care with a heart. We will be returning someday soon with a new pet soon Im happy to share.
