1. The whole place is run down and dirty and smelly. 2. I asked them to free feed him and leave the food that I brought in his cage at all times and they did not. 3. Food I brought was never given to him and when I picked him up, I could feel his ribs and the weight he had lost. 4. He smelled horrible! I had given him a bath when I left and when I got him back, it looked and smelled like he had been wandering the streets for weeks. His feet were covered in pee and he was strangely very oily. 5. Since I have gotten him home, he has been listless and sleeping. When he first saw me when I picked him up at this place, his head was bowed and he looked at me like he did something wrong. I think it was because that place seemed like punishment to him. He perked up a bit and realized he was not in trouble when I finally got him to the car. The people there are friendly and nice, but the care that my dog received was not acceptable and I will never take my dog to that place again. Ever.

Dr. Shelby Watson came into the room, made eye contact with me and allowed my suspicious GSD to take a moment to sniff her out. Then Dr. Watson sat on the floor, continued to talk with me as she offered my dog a treat. Other vets wanted to muzzle my dog and/or take her into another room, whereas Dr. Watson had my dog eating out of her hand in minutes. Dr. Watson patiently listened to my life story while evaluating my dog. She allowed me to hold "Lucy" while she looked in her ears and gave her a rabies booster. Lucy was a good girl and made me proud. She even listened to me and heeled to the front desk, making me look good. :-D It was such a great visit, I asked Dr. Watson for a hug afterwards. I look forward to bringing my dogs to Big Valley in the future, and Id highly recommend them to you. 10 Stars!

I left my small dog for two nights. The staff were very friendly and the spaces for the dogs are great. Since he is a small dog, it only costed 25/night for a "studio" which meant an indoor and outdoor area and a small cot for him to sleep on. He came back only a little dirty (I expected him to be filthy when I picked him up but he wasnt).

We boarded our two Siberian Huskies here off and on for several years, and it is by far the best facility I found in the Olympic Peninsula. They love playing outdoors, the entire facility is securely fenced, and the staff seem to really care about the dogs they board. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially those with big, active dogs.

The atmosphere and people are wonderful. I dont dread going to the vet anymore! We just moved to Poulsbo from the Seattle side and have been so pleasantly surprised by the reduced cost, expertise, and over all experiences weve had at Big Valley. Theres so much love and care for the animals. I highly recommend it!

Our dog actually likes being boarded, they give him such special attention. Have found staff to be friendly, helpful and they genuinely love our dog. Its nice to go away on vacation and not worry about the pet!
