TERRIBLE SERVICE AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!! My son had x-rays taken as part of his routine dental check up. He sat still and the nurse complimented us on how well behaved he was. The Dr. checks him and says he looks great, then he checks the x-rays and tells us he has cavities showing in the x-rays, and as a PREVENTIVE MEASURE, he needs to proceed with a SURGICAL PROCEDURE and GENERAL ANESTHESIA due to his age. Worried for the complexity of the procedure and the risks for the general anesthesia, I came back a week later to cancel the surgery and was advised by the personnel that the Dr. would discuss options for treatment, that he would PERSONALLY talk to me. I waited for 2 1/2 hours so he could "speak" to me... he never showed!!! he didnt bother to take the "time" to discuss anything or answer questions!! Instead one of the nurses/dental assistants came in and emphasized the necessity of the procedure. She said my son had misbehaved during the x-rays and that they could not even get good x-rays!! That the x-rays were not the best and showed a couple cavities, but because of faulty x-rays there could actually be more!! that they couldnt know for sure!! What type of stupid answer is that??? Ok...So they were going to proceed with SURGERY and GENERAL ANESTHESIA on a 4yr old based on FAULTY X-RAYS and an "INCOMPLETE" DIAGNOSIS!!! what type of Dr. does that??!! DR. OBVIOUSLY LACKS ETHICAL PROFESSIONALISM AND HIS DENTAL ASSISTANTS LACK TRAINING AND COMMON SENSE.

I TOOK MY SON TO DR. POPE. HE IS THE BEST DENTIST THAT MY SON HAS SEEN THIS YEAR AND I WAS ALLOWED TO BE WITH MY SON @ ALL TIMES. THEY DID NOT STRAP HIM DOWN LIKE THEY WANTED TO IN THE OTHER OFFICE I WENT TO BEFORE GOING TO DR POPE . STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I WAS SEEN @ TIME OF MY APPOINTMENT. DR. POPE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING RIGHT TO THE LAST DETAIL OF WHAT MY SON NEEDED FOR TREATMENT. I WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK TO DR. POPE FOR ALL AND ANY FUTURE VISITS MY SON NEEDS. BTW WOW!!!! REALLY!!!! THE OTHER TWO REVIEWS ON THIS PAGE LOOK LIKE THERE WERE JUST COPIED AND PASTED BY THE SAME PERSON LOOKS LIKE THERE REALLY WAS NOTHING THAT BAD TO SAY IF YOU HAD TO COPY IT

VERY friendly staff.... I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Bill Pope and his staff. Dr Pope always walks in the room with a positive attitude and greets us. Lets us know what he is going to do before anything. My kids have been patients since they were 1years old (now 9 & 8) and I would NOT change dentistry. My kids like the service Doctor Bill Pope gives them. He always interacts with them so they wont feel scared, talks to them so they wont think about the cleaning or procedure.

I will Never take my kids back to this office!! They have traumatized my kids in holding them down to do work on them. No numbing medicine given during procedures at office. Worst feeling having to be in the same room seeing that happen to your children even after the surgery they went through.
