Exceptional! I feel like I am getting first-rate dental care. The staff are friendly and competent. Dr. Trent Thompkins with David did a thorough initial assessment of my dental needs. Dr. Thompkins then did an excellent job communicating a reasonable dental plan for me. First, he sent me to Hill Country Endodontics (Dr. Michael Schwarze) for a root canal which was actually enjoyable because of Dr. Schwarze. Dr. Thompkins extracted a stubborn broken tooth and is doing a bone graft tomorrow to prepare for an implant. Im looking forward to it (I never thought I would say that about a dental visit). David recently did an excellent and overdue teeth cleaning. Besides being careful and thorough, I enjoy his stories and sense of humor. He changed the way I care for my teeth, which I appreciate. I recommended Van de Walle Family Dentistry to my wife, Joanna, and she thought they were all great (teeth cleaning and an emergency filling for a chipped tooth). Both of us also like the location and facility.

Has anyone ever said they enjoy going to the dentist? Well, as dental offices go, this one is SUPERB! Youre greeted with a friendly smile as soon as you walk through the door. The waiting room is spacious & clean, as is the entire building. Once checked in, your time is honored by not keeping you waiting as they strive to keep the appointments on schedule. All the staff members treat you with kindness & the hygienists are thorough, explaining what they are doing & why throughout the cleanings/exams. This office team is why I am willing to drive from out of town... the quality of service & care is top notch. Well worth the 5 stars!!

I have been seeing Dr. Van De Walle and his staff for over three years now. I use to be very anxious when going to the dentist and never made my appointments. After my first visit with Dr. Van De Walle I was sold. He is simply the best of the best, his staff is very professional and smart. You can tell that everyone in that office is up to date with current dentistry and practice. I moved to Houston a year again and still travel three hours each way because I know I am in great hands. You can tell he truly cares about his patients, and will always go above and beyond for them!!!

Excellent dentist! Appointment was on time and in and out with great care!!! Had a root canal done with no pain and no discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Tom is caring and conscious of your comfort before, during and after the procedure. He made sure all questions and concerns were addressed and took time to explain anything in question! Not only would I recommend him, I plan on making him our primary dentist for my entire family of 5. Anyone who needs a GREAT dentist should call him immediately!!! I recommend him 100%

The staff at Van De Walle Dentistry are excellent. They are personable and not stiff-collared. Im sad that I will have to find a dentist elsewhere since I am moving. If you live or work in the San Marcos area, dont think twice - just go straight to Van De Walle for the best dental experience around.

I highly recommend coming here, the staff is wonderful!! Theyll help you out with any questions and thoroughly go through your treatment plan to make sure you completely understand everything thats going on in your mouth. Not to mention the fancy massage chairs and TVs in the room ;)
