My husband and I have two four month old puppies, that we love. We went on our honeymoon, and while our pets were under the care of parents, one of them ate all the fuzz off a tennis ball. When we brought her home, we noticed almost immediately that something was wrong with her. She was having diarrhea and there was obvious blood in her stools. I rushed her to our vet, citrus park animal, and they ran a fecal swab. When it came back without any traces of blood, I was told it was blood from her mouth because she was losing teeth and not in her stools. They gave me a pro biotic to help firm her stools and sent us home with a $400 vet bill. Not feeling comfortable with the diagnosis, I refrained from giving her the pro biotic. The next morning, I woke up to more diarrhea, and after a thorough investigation, I found lots of blood. I called their office at 730am as soon as they opened and reported my concerns and requested they see her for an xray. At 1030 they still had not called back, so I called again. I was told the vet was seeing patients who had appointments and that hed return my call when he was free. At noon I went home from work to see if she was okay, and there was even more blood. At this point I panicked and called four other vets for xrays. I explained the tennis ball situation, same as I did with citrus park, and they were all shocked my vet didnt take an xray and insisted we NOT give her the pro biotic because it could kill her if she had a blockage. I had my husband call citrus park and demand an xray and he was yelled at for not giving her the pro biotic and was told "she doesnt have a blockage, but if you want to waste $300 on an unnecessary xray you can bring her in." So I took her to another vet who was immediately concerned and immediately started the test. She had a LARGE blockage between her stomach and small intestine and required immediate surgery. My four month old puppy is alive and recuperating, but I will never take my animals to this vet again. They have showed me they are negligent and almost killed my dog. If you love your pet, drive a little farther and find a vet that will care about them as much as you do.

My little girl "Mollie" passed away as she was too sick to save. Today, I received a sympathy card in the mail from Dr. Brooks and his team. When I brought Mollie in, they saw us immediately and sent us to the ER. The genuine concern for her and I was REAL. Not only did they put us in front of everyone, they showed a love and concern I have NEVER experienced at any other vet. They did not even charge me for seeing her which showed me they more more concerned for her than making money. The card I got today of course brought me to tears, but they have shown how much they take their job to heart. They will always have my support and business for my other "kids." Thank you so much for being there for Mollie and I.

Gail is an excellent groomer at the hospital. I had taken my Himalayan cat to pets mart and after $50 later she was filthy. We took my cat immediately to Dr Brooks for yearly injections and he asked why she was so wet. We did not notice because the groomer handed her to us in her crate and did not see her till the vet. She was soaked completely underneath, ears not clean, behind had feces smeared and she smelled wet. Gail said she would groom her for $52.50 and do an excellent job. That she did. She came out perfectly clean, hand blow dried, behind clean and smelling fresh. Her coat is silky now and brushing is a breeze since. Go to Gail at Citrus Park. She is wonderfully talented and extra thorough.

This is a great hospital to take your pets. I will higly recomend it. The peope that work there are very profesional and patient. I took my rabbit in very critical conditions. The fleas cause him anemia. He couldnt walk or eat on his own. I was so sad thinking that he will die any minute. They have a great Doctor specialized in small animals. Dr. Frank Bonsack. He was exellent and took care of my bunny immediately. Gave me hope. Send me medicine, and vitamin powder to remplace food orally. He saved my rabbit. It Is a week already, my sweet Popcorn, is happy, eating, walking. It is a great place. Every body that work there are very nice. Exellent place, thanks

Best all around veterinarian! We have been going to him for over 20 years and would never go to anyone else. He treats all of our animals with respect and dignity. Not sure about this other review. Sounds odd to me from what we know of this hospital. I cant imagine a fecal and probiotics ever costing $400, as was mentioned in that review. Dr. Brooks has gone above and beyond to rescue our furry babies from danger, even when it meant staying after hours, or even (once), sleeping at the hospital to tend to an animal he had been trying to save (a bobcat that had been hit by a car), and he saved it!

I took my sugar glider to the vet as she began acting really weird being up all day. Before the vet walked in the room he printed out information on sugar gliders which I already knew. I I explained she is losing weight but because I didnt weight her and give him the amount of weight she had lost he disregarded that advised me to get a scale and bring her back when I had how much weight she was losing. This was Friday, my sugar glider died on Saturday. Thank you for your wonderful care. I guess the money I paid for the sugar glider to bit you was well worth it.

When I came home from work on Friday night I discovered something wrong with my cat. In the morning I searched for a local veterinary near me. I found CPAH and read all the wonderful reviews. When I called the staff was extremely pleasant and able to squeeze us in immediately. When I arrived this place was packed. After a thorough inspection my cat is going to be fine. Now I know why there were so many people. I would highly recommended this place to everyone. Wonder staff!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!

Took my hedgehog here when she was sick and had a great experience. I was worried about the price (especially because hedgehogs are considered exotic pets), but it was pretty affordable, and I was able to leave with the antibiotics my hedgie needed. The administration staff was friendly and efficient. The vet and techs handled my very huffy and scared hedgehog very well and was able to examine her without much struggle. I would recommend this office to those with hedgehogs and other small animals.

Dr. Brooks is an excellent and extremely knowledgable vet! He was able to squeeze me in, being a new and out-of-town patient, and took great care of my two beloved dogs! They both got their shots updated and Dr. Brooks was able to clean my yorkies teeth, for a very reasonable price. His office staff is very professional and he provides awesome after-care. I trust this vet explicitly and wish that we lived in the area.
