This is a veterinarian that I will travel all the ends of the earth for. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I have met Dr. Johnson through her extensive work and donated time and efforts to the Animal Rescue groups in this area and the surrounding counties. I had rescued two dogs, one being diagnosed with Addisions after a year of owning and after many visits to a "local and prominent Veterinarian in South Tampa" . I have spent a ton of time and money to find out he had Addisons Disease by one visit with Dr. Johnson. Addisions is a treatable disease under the right care. He requires monthy visits for percortin injections for the rest of his life. She works with you to make sure you can do all you can to help your pet but to also not take you to the bank. I never feel pressured to buy anything additional while there, she makes suggestions so that you are thoroughly informed of your options. Her costs are extremely reasonable as again I have been to several vets in my South Tampa area before I met her and trust you me, there was one vet I never left for less than $500 each time for simple well care visits. She is very personal and extremely knowledgable of current treatment options. She is also very reachable. I can leave her a message and she returns my calls. I am extremely dedicated to this veterinarian that until she finally opened this practice (which is still a little haul for me -but well worth it - so thankful for the Veterans Expwy, tho!) I have seen her in North Tampa, outside of Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and now in her final place, Plantation. I adore her and she will always be a part of my life so long as I own pets.

Dr. McCambell was great but he has moved on a couple or three months ago now. The new young lady vet that has taken over the facility is extremely nice and thorough I have found. Little Max has a bad ear infection and a skin problem. Rhonda has given her an injection of Convenia that lasts two weeks for the skin problem and an antiobiotic cream for the ear, to be given every 12 hours. Well see how it goes I guess. Seems Maltese are always getting ear infections. The only thing I didnt like was my wife was sold the county tag for an extra $40 and was told that they had already talked it over with me but didnt. I took it back and they refunded the money with no questions. Max only goes in the back yard and nowhere else. Here are some of the charges: Annual Exam $45, Rabies shot $17.67, Cytology Ear $19.50, Ear Clean $15, Otibiotic Ointment $15.50, Convenia shot $29, Complete Wellness Panel (blood test) $125, Intestinal Parasite Exam $21, Pramosoothe Shampoo 8 oz. $14.

They are very understanding if you are trying to care for your pet without spending a ton of money. I am amazed with all the service and medication we got, having spend just $103.56. At the same time, Rhonda is very familiar with the issues cats commonly have and has steered us in the right direction each time one of our pets has had a life threatening issue. With all the other vets out there that are just looking to fleece you, this place is a welcome departure. We will definitely stick with them.
