While the visit itself went OK, its been a nightmare trying to get a refund for a glasses order I cancelled within 24 hours. Rather than getting a full refund on the credit card I used at the time of purchase, the charge for the glasses was placed on my insurance bill, although we specifically discussed I personally was paying for the glasses. Then, after getting only 20% of the refund amount within three weeks, I had to spend several hours on the phone, being bounced from the shop, to the billing department, then back to the shop, then back to billing, with each office passing the blame and making it seem as though I was being unreasonable asking for a refund for a service I never received. I was just told Ill have to wait another one or two weeks before finding out if Im getting a full refund for a charge that was mistakenly billed to my insurance. Ill NEVER use this office or UPMC optometry again, and I advise that you strongly consider going here, since UPMC is so difficult to work with.

I have had two eye checkups with UPMC. The first doctor was pretty responsive and nice. The second doctor who I had a checkup with a year later wasnt the best though. His office was on Forbes in UPitt campus. The wait was long and he did not respond to a followup question I sent him ages ago. It really depends upon which doctor you get. I guess UPMC is a hit-or-miss in that sense.

Thrilled! While visiting Pittsburgh, my glasses completely broke. I was desperate for help (tape, super glue?!). Ran into the Eye Center and they quickly replaced my frames at a reasonable cost. Saved the day, thank you!

Staff is nice and friendly. Parking is right next door. They have the self check in computers so check in and payment is easy. Location is easy to find and well marked.

Google Maps mistakenly has this location as permanently closed. It is, in fact, open. Dr. Ebrahimi is a great doctor and a good listener to my issues and concerns.
