I rescued a 3 week old Chihuahua puppy born without arms that someone brought in to this vet to be put down due to the birth defect. This vet agreed to euthanize without even an attempt to call any of the many local rescue groups first. The only reason pups life was saved was because a girl who my friend new was there with her dog and asked to take the puppy to save its life. The puppy came to me a couple days later. The puppy is now 6 months old and doing great! she is healthy, happy, loved, and hops/walks around on her strong back legs fine. She is walking outside on a support harness and is getting wheels soon. She has no other health problems....just no arms. she will live a full happy life. I post this as a lesson that every life deserves a chance. I dont think this vet knows this or cares much about at least making a phone call or 2 to try to save a life. Even animal control (from where rescue groups pull) would have been better then killing the puppy. I would never go to a vet this careless with a healthy animals life.

Benitez Animal Hospital is a true hidden gem. Dr. Cosme Benitez has treated all of my dogs and my familys dogs as well. His prices are awesome and he is so caring about animals. I am so thankful for him and his staff. Hes very knowledgeable, bilingual, and you can call him at any time. He is genuinely the best veterinarian that I have seen and the only one I would take my dogs to. I cannot believe all the vets I used to go to in the past and pay $200-400 per visit. Ever since I came across this vet, I can no longer go to any other because Dr. Benitez is simply the best. I cannot stress how much he loves animals. God bless Benitez Animal Hospital.

Just to write a review I give it a star... its all about money with this doctor...took my pup to him even though he isnt a specialist or surgeon for what my pup really needed he didnt miss his opportunity to charge for services other than what my pup needed.. took it to the metro Dade animal shelter where they took better care of my pup. Metro needed my pups records and they would not release the medical records. Instead they said the doctor wasnt in till 3pm when he is actually there. Sometimes it doesnt pay to go to a private doctor whose only concern is his and how much they can get from you. Lost my business.

Dr. Benitez is the most amazing animal Lover there is. He thinks first of the his patients health than money. My dog had complications at the time of giving birth. She needed an emergency C-section and didnt have enough to cover what I thought would be the huge price which wasnt even 50% of what I thought. The doctor saw my concern and he worked things out with me. Thanks to him my girl is home with her 3 pups. Nurses are very friendly and very helpful. FYI have any emergency concern? speak directly with doctor Benitez in person, !!!Not to the recpetionist!!!! or on the phone.

The doctor is very thorough with his furry patients, he tested my cat for immune problems before even thinking of giving her the vaccines. All staff is super friendly and you can tell they really love animals. Dr. Benitez gave me the solution for Sigrids problems, all the instructions and products that I really truly needed, no frills, and I didnt have to rob a bank to pay the bill. In short, if you love your pet, hes the one doctor you want to go to

Ive been taking my Bull Terrier to Dr. Benitezs for over a year now. Prices are very reasonable and the doctor AND the whole staff are very professional and caring. I live in Broward but dont mind the drive (my dog loves it). Very convenient because you can show up without an appointment and they wont charge you any "emergency fees". He is very knowledgeable and knew right away how to fix my dogs skin issue. Im very thankful for that.

I took my lovely cat when he was kitten. I had only had him for about 2 weeks after I adopted him from the Shelter. He had an eye infection and parasites. The doctor was very quick in handling the situation and did not charge me excess money. He was gentle with Andi and was knowledgable. We were able to save his eye and hes a very happy cat now.

Dr. Benitez is a very experienced and knowledgeable vet. Ive been his client for 11 years. My friends bring their pets from the NW. His prices are awesomely reasonable. He doesnt charge you just because. He explains and gives options. He doesnt forces people to spend $ if the pet doesnt needed. (Like other vets.) His staff makes you feel welcome.

We love Doctor Benitez, he´s the Vet for my cats Blackie, Sol and Panther. He´s the old fashion animal doctor, and so kind and compassionate. The ladies at the reception are very nice as well. Every body in there is very professional. I highly recommend Doctor Benitez if you want an honest, devoted Vet for your pets.
