I will never take my cat there ever again. Dr. Daum told my room mate that my cat needed "exploratory surgery" and that he should drive her to Melbourne to another vets office immediately. My room mate came home and was very distraught....as was I! My pets are my children! I wanted to get a second opinion before I let someone cut my baby open for "exploratory surgery". I cried all night, couldnt sleep and was very upset. I called the vets office in Melbourne and told them that I wanted to get another opinion on this before I made any quick un-informed decision. Dr. Daum called animal control on me and I had a phone call the next morning at 8:40 in the morning demanding to come to my house to make sure I wasnt mistreating my child!! Now mind you.....Dr. Daum had never met me in person and took it upon herself to call animail control rather than contact me directly and further discuss. I spoke to another vet and my brother who is an ER Trauma doctor that said if what they thought was wrong with my baby that no surgery coould really fix it.......that it was cruel to put her through it.....she is 14!! This whole experience was very traumatic to me! If animail control comes they usually take your pet away.......all because I wouldnt get in my car and immediately drive my baby to Melbourne for some surgery that was only to explore.....what might be wrong! Its been over a month and she is doing fine, is eating and gained some of her weight back. I could never put her through such an experience to just go inside an see. NEVER will I ever go back there again and have told many people to stay away from there. What a horrible experience.

This is old but I want to remind people my story what happened because I dont want it to ever happen to them. Brought my dog in for a urinary tract infection. It had a little blockage and the woman vet was new at the time 2012-2011 time frame was the year she came. Very callous and cold person. Told me I have to put him down. I said I wanted a 2nd opinion, she threatened to call animal control and have me arrested for animal cruelty. I was completely dumbfounded by her. I said I have my 2 kids a toddler and infant with me and I needed to pick another one up in about 20 minutes (elementary age) is it possible to wait till my husband gets off work in an hour to drive because here Im starting cry and get upset these people want to kill my dog of 8 years over an infection. The tech they had jammed a huge needle in his spine and he went down whining. I couldnt be there to hold his paw till he went to the other side because they couldnt wait to get him done and over with and I had to leave to get my child off the bus since noone was available to get her. Absolutely no compassion with this vet and I hope this never ever happens with anyone elses dog or cat. Had to call to get his ashes because they "forgot" to call me when they came in. Never use this place if you have an emergency. Go somewhere else where they care and have sympathy. RIP Pudge.

My 3 dogs and 2 cats have been patients with Kindness for several years. Today my oldest (15yr lab) was attacked by a pit bull. It has been 1 1/2 years since her last rabies shot. I bring her in to be seen and immediately the front desk receptionist reminds me that she needs her vaccines. I politely tell her that she is not in a position today to get those ad I feel she is too old for a rabies vaccine. The tech takes us back who was extremely rude and advised me that Bailey must have her vaccines, it is the law unless it is medically waived. I asked if the vet could see her or do a blood panel first to make sure she is healthy enough for them. (My Bailey is 15yrs old, can barely stand and has masses in several areas of her body. I may only have 6 more months with her). The tech came back in the room and told me that the Dr would not see her until she had her shots - her words were "if she is standing she needs her shots". I was dumbfounded. This place only cares about the $ and would not see my dog (their patient) until I spent $150 on vaccines??? Beware of vets like this! So I walked out with my dog in limping and bleeding to go to a different Vet who saw her and treated her with no questions or issues.

Ive been with Kindness since their existence ... a very long time. I cannot say enough about the Dr.s, techs and staff. From the girls at the front desk, to the techs, the office staff in the back, to the vets - you will receive knowledgeable, friendly service. Every single member on staff at Kindness always goes out of their way to make sure me and my dogs are well taken care of and happy. Whether your vetting needs are simple (annual visit, minor illness) or whether they are major (surgeries, debilitating disease, accidents) they can handle it all. The doctos are the best in their biz - they are all intelligent clinicians, who keep up with the current procedures to be able to offer your pet the best care possible. The Kindness staff is competent, friendly, and good at their respective jobs, but what I love most about this animal hospital is the compassion that each and every staff member has for both patients and owners. Ive been there in tears, and they cried with me ... Ive been there victorious that my pet was finally well, and they were there cheering us on. Kindness Animal Hospital is top notch from A - Z, and the staff really care about you and your pets. I recommend them highly.

Kindness Animal Hospital always treats my little dog Max with compassion, and kindness. The staff at Kindness ALWAYS goes out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The staff always makes you feel like you are the most important patient. You know they do everything they can to make your visit a pleasant experience. They always get us in a room as quickly as possible....and our dog Max is always treated with love and understanding. We especially love Pearla and Lisa who Max always requests because they give him extra special care. But even if they are not available to take care of Max.....everyone has been wonderful ....and all the technicians and Doctors take great care of Max....no matter what we need. Kindness Animal Hospital is not the closest Vet Clinic to our house....but the trip is well worth it.....The office staff is also great and no matter how much of a pain in the butt I am....they are always patient and kind. Thankz to everyone at Kindness for always being so great....Sincerely, Rosalind Lutfey......mother of Max...the babydog

This has to be the WORST animal hospital I have ever encountered. We have lived in different areas of the US due to my husbands job and have been affiliated with different vets throughout our years of having animals. This vet CLEARLY cannot handle any animal that is over 30 lbs. The staff is so rude that even the customers that are waiting to have their animals seen comment on this every time Ive been in there. The staff sound and look like they just came off an all-nighter. Highly unprofessional UPDATE: Thanks for writing back. You are INDEED the animal hospital I meant to leave this review for. I stand by my earlier review in that you are NOT equipped to handle a large dog nor is your staff "friendly". I didnt have an account with you, my husband did. That was why you did not find my name in your system. Hopefully you will be "Kinder" to the animal owners and show "Kindness" to any size animal that happens to visit your facility.
