First of all, I should say that I work in healthcare, and I have high expectations for quality of care. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. McNeill since prior to his opening his solo practice. I feel that Trillium Family Medicine is superior to any other family practice that I have seen in the area. The office is modern and attractive, the staff are friendly and professional, and I have never had more than a five minute wait when I had an appointment. Not long ago, I had to get in for an urgent issue, and when I emailed the office, they told me to come right in, and it only took 15 minutes for me to see the doctor. Dr. McNeill gives me and my wife plenty of time when we are in the office, listens carefully to what we are saying, and explains well the treatments that he thinks are best for us. Ive also been impressed how well he stays very up to date with the most current science and research. Like everyone else, I look up symptoms and treatments online, and hes always ready and willing to explain which ones make sense, and what the best medical treatment guidelines actually are. During my visits with Dr. McNeill, hes always been polite, concerned about my medical issues, and willing to do whatever it took to help me get well, and that is what I want. When I first met him, I thought he was a bit "stiff", but I think that was because my previous doctor was so very outgoing. In retrospect, my previous doctor was great with the chit-chat, but not near as good with the doctoring. I have to admit, I love the web-portal. I can pick my own appointments and it will send an email reminder, I get updated test results with the doctors comments, I can send a message to the office and they get back to me very quickly, and often its a response directly from the doctor. It works great on the computer and with the phone app. There is NO calling in to the office, being shuttled around, explaining your problem three times, and then having to leave a message on the nurses voicemail, for her to call you back the next day. This is modern, effective healthcare, and I respect that. Luke ** I have no affiliation with this practice, I am just a patient there. I have recommended that several of my friends go there, and they have been very pleased. I just believe in pointing out excellence when I see it.

Dr. McNeill is wonderful! Doctor visits have always made me uncomfortable, and past medical experiences have made me feel more like a set of symptoms than a person. My experiences with Dr. McNeill have been exactly the opposite. He run a single-physician practice with the help of one nurse and one office manager, and they are all three kind, personable, and welcoming. Dr. McNeil always takes the time to talk with me about whats going on, explains treatment options, and asks me if I have any questions. Ive never experienced so much uninterrupted and undivided attention from a physician! He genuinely cares about his patients and takes the time to improve their well-being. Its such a relief to have a doctor that I trust with my care and feel comfortable with! Trillium also uses a creative and tech-savvy way to communicate with patients through a Patient Portal. This allows patients to schedule appointments online, request medication refills, view lab results, and email Dr. McNeill directly. This honestly made me nervous at first because Im not technically inclined, but its extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. In my experience, emails are always answered within an hour, and its usually much less time than that. My work schedule is restrictive, and Dr. McNeill is willing to see me when Im sick even if I cant make an available appointment time. Dr. McNeill is professional, dedicated, and genuine. My experiences have been extremely positive, and I highly recommend him.

Been a patient of Dr. McNeill for nearly 3 years - like most people, I dont go to the doctors unless something is wrong or Im sick. Last time I visited the doctor nearly 8 months ago - he was doing a great job, got asthma and blood pressure under control. I apparently had an outstanding balance from that last visit. I received a bill in the mail several months later and immediately called the office and paid the balance off. I went to make another appointment 2 weeks ago because my blood pressure meds are out and need a refill. The only way to contact them, as they dont answer the phone, is on their patient portal online. My account had been deactivated, according to them, because of my previous bill issue (which was their fault for not sending me a bill). The bill had been paid a month or 2 ago, and I asked to see the doctor because the migraines were unbearable now - Ill pay cash, just re-enable the account so I can schedule. Their response was: "Im sorry we cannot accept you as a patient because of your bad debt status with us in the past" This speaks volumes as to what is important to them. Money over health. If Id have known then what I know now, Id have NOT chosen Dr. McNeill as my PCP. Shame on you for your treatment of a patient over a menial charge - your billing department screwed up.

This wasnt a great experience for me. I felt that Dr. McNeil very quickly formed his opinion about me, and he made up his mind about my symptoms without much regard for the details I shared about my personal medical experiences. His mission statement in the waiting area said that he has a flexible, non-dogmatic approach to practicing with his patients. I respectfully disagree. It seemed as if he operates in "boxes," and whether your symptoms fit neatly inside a "box" or not isnt relevant; hes going to treat you within the guidelines of his own "boxes" regardless of whether that is really the best treatment approach for you. I felt that he was almost amused by the personal experience I shared with him, and I felt that he did not regard me as particularly intelligent. Im not sure if actually thought that I wasnt intelligent, but it came across that way to me. That said, the patient portal offered by this practice is very convenient. Also, I didnt have to spend much time in the waiting room. So Ill give it two stars.

I am quite happy with Dr. Mark McNeill and his office and nursing staff. He takes plenty of time to learn about and discuss my health. He is thorough in examining me and asking questions. I trust his advice and know that he is genuinely concerned that I am healthy. The use of technology in making appointments, sending messages and accessing my medical records satisfies me that Dr. McNeill has the latest technology in place to streamline my visits. I can fill out all of my paperwork online and not have to be at the office early to do the paperwork by hand. This cuts down on my time away from work. Dr. McNeill and his office staff can be contacted by phone or message very speedily and easily. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. McNeill to anyone looking for a doctor. Thanks guys!

I sent a patient request form because a friend told me he was a decent doctor and my current physician was dropped from my insurance meaning it would be 160 a visit. I received an email asking for insurance info, medication list, and current physician. I got a rude reply that just basically said sorry we cannot accept you as a patient at this time but did not say why. I am a nurse (for 15 years now) and have never seen a physician that "prescreens" patients and handpicked them. What kind of practice is this??? And their reply below is nonsense. If you cannot accept anymore patients right now, why did you email me the list of questions? Why would you just not send an autoreply stating that you arent accepting new patients right now? Thats a bogus response.
