Family doctor While I really like my doctor, the practice itself is almost unbearable to work with. You always have to leave a message to speak with someone and calls are not returned for days. My last bill for a routine physical had to be sent 4 different times before it was correct. You have to schedule an appointment for everything. I wanted to get a referral for a sleep clinic. They would not do that for me unless I scheduled an appointment and paid my deductible first. After seeing the specialists at the immunization office in downtown Asheville, they mentioned we should have our doctor call in a prescription for traveler’s diarrhea. They said this is common and should not require an appointment with your doctor. While my wife and sons doctors each called in a prescription for them this practice refused to do this for me and required an appointment and payment of my deductible so I could walk in an ask for this prescription. I wish my doctor worked in a different office. I will be changing doctors.

OFD has evening clinic hours, Saturday hours, and Ive never worked with doctors more consistently concerned with the whole person. I would confidently recommend ANY of the doctors here. Excellent care. Ive been a client for several years. Never had a bad experience.

I see Dr. Jodi Schwab and she really listens, seems concerned and is well-rounded in her knowledge. She understands how the muscles and bones of the body can effect other body systems/wellness which other docs dont seem to connect.
