Do not be fooled by "integrative" in the name, this is the same old same old distant barely in the room flippant impersonal dont care dont know doctor you would get at any corporate managed care big box outfit. Wasted time and wasted money and $60 to spend 10 mins with a doctor who said "you know" every other sentence and left me with an info sheet I could have printed online (about allergens) and a referral to an ENT by... the WRONG NAME.... is NOT cheap. This doctor was annoyed when I asked her to explain, didnt give me info I asked for until I reasked for it, was argumentative where it clearly was uncalled for, very uncaring, impersonal (tells me I prob have permanent hearing loss (within 5 mins) and doesnt understand why Im looking for more info) She was upset that we asked her to explain something.... She was never really IN the room and was in a big hurry to get out of it. It may be JUST a job to her but to the patient it is their lives! Maybe she is so busy and it all just runs together for her, I dont know but to the individual patient who has a problem and is asking for help...... to choose to go to a SUPPOSEDLY caring modern practice and then to be treated like a thing instead of a person..... well I went to her because Im in pain and Im afraid... the one and ONLY thing she did for me was make a bad day worse. Nothing she told me was helpful and the little she did I dont trust. If it was beyond her area of expertise or for some reason we where just beneath her as people I wish she would have simply said so. Looking for a personable doctor who you can discuss your care with? LOOK ELSEWHERE!

I am so grateful to have found Integrative Family Medicine. For years I have been suffering with weekly if not daily migraines until I met with Dr. Krisel. He suggested I try treating the headaches by changing my diet and my life has changed forever. The results were astounding and for the first time felt that I had some control over those evil headaches. I might not have been motivated to try this type of treatment plan (mainly because it required giving up many delicious things) but Dr. Ks through explanation of the hows and whys behind this method gave me the knowledge and confidence to follow through with it. Come to find out all those "delicious" things were actually part of the problem. As if that wasnt good enough, I am also always impressed by the kindness, compassion and care the entire staff shows with every visit. For years I have felt like "going to the doctor" only led to cures that covered up symptoms and didnt treat all sides of any given problem. This practice has the perfect balance of great medical training and holistic options to treat me as a person not just symptoms. Do yourself a favor and check out Integrative Family Med. You and your body wont be disappointed.

I have been seeing Chad and Brian at Integrative Family Medicine (two of the three doctors), for a variety of common medical concerns for the last 4 years. I have been consistently impressed with their skill, knowledge, and approachable, calm demeanor. They have always been clear about where the current state of medical understanding is, on the topic in question, as well their own level of expertise in that topic. Both are extremely intelligent and well-trained practitioners yet I feel totally at-ease around them. In addition to their medical and health knowledge, they have truly embodied the intention of supporting the health of others, through their simple yet innovative business model that allows them to charge for a whole visit, what most clinics charge as a copay, and yet still spend twice as much time with each person. I recommend them every chance I get, and am deeply grateful that they are offering this fantastic service.

I met with Dr. Chad for an incredibly painful throat infection. Not only did he make time for me at the last minute, but he was very relaxed and friendly even though he was fitting me into a busy schedule. He was very thorough in inquiring into the possible causes of my symptoms and in laying out my options for testing and treatment. I appreciate that he offered both "western," allopathic approaches to treatment and also educated me as to how I might treat it at home with various herbs, teas, and more "holistic" approaches. The combination of the two ways of working with my symptoms had me significantly better withing 24 hours, and I had been in truly debilitating pain. I am deeply grateful to the clinic and to Dr. Chad, and would without hesitation recommend them to those I care about.

I’m in my 50’s and it is refreshing to see my health continue to improve and I credit Integrative Family Medicine of Asheville as being the catalyst for change! I have been extremely impressed with the care and service I have received since joining their integrative life program. Their approach seems to be a combination of the personal care and consideration that patients used to enjoy from having a dedicated family doctor that they could turn to in times of illness and the reasoned thoroughness of a holistic healthcare practioner who seeks to cure disease and promote wellness rather than just treating symptoms. Other medical practices would do well to learn from their model and I say that with conviction since I’ve learned that from my decades of experience as a practicing nurse.

I think it is very good to have a doctors office that is willing to treat you with medications that are not dreaded prescription drugs first. My prostate was enlarged and my doctor wanted to remove most of it although he had me on 2 different medications. He said if I went off of one of them in particular my prostate would grow within a month. Also I was having infections every other month. When I visited Dr Chad he started me on some herbs and other health food drugs. A few months later I was off all medications and have been off of them for almost 2 years. Still have a few problems but no infections and it is manageable. What a blessing to have a doctors office willing to make such a change. I have to travel 50 miles to see Dr Chad but it is well worth it.

I have never been so impressed with a medical visit. From the moment I entered I was treated with respect and courtesy. I was amazed that I was attended to right away and not made to wait at all. After a pre-screening, I met with Dr. Krisel who took the time to intelligently discuss my medical condition with me. He offered me the pros and cons of treating my condition from both a western medical perspective as well as alternative approaches. I left feeling more informed and able to easily move forward with my treatment. The real surprise was when I went to pay for my visit and discovered it was at least half of what I was expecting to pay. I can not imagine a better option for medical care in Asheville. Thank You so much!

This is absolutely what a visit to the doctor should be. These guys and girls will remain in business and flourish because they truly care and do an excellent job of caring. Integrative Asheville does not accept Insurance which eliminates an ugly, bloated, corrupt beast from the equation entirely. I am disabled, which means I have Medicare. This means I can be seen by most doctors for a nominal fee. I still choose to go to Integrative Asheville and pay out of pocket!!!! That speaks for itself.. I have received exceptional care from this facility and the world is a better place because of them.
