I am a huge review reader, but this is actually my own first review! There was no way I could not recognize this excellent group of people. I got a puppy the second week of January...an English Golden Retriever...to be trained as a service dog for my daughter with Autism. Never did I imagine that this puppy would have any health issues, especially coming from a very reputable breeder. Dr Leff was amazing: Kind, yet very direct. Informative, yet not overwhelming. She told me exactly what I needed to know and to hear, while maintaining a very high level of care, concern, and professionalism. Her technician/assistant Anthony, was amazing as well. I have never met such a warm, empathetic, and caring individual. They both went above and beyond the call of duty and helped me during a difficult time of receiving not the best of news... The front desk was wonderful as well. Smiling, professional, on time, knowledgable. I will never go anywhere else. I am forever grateful and Taffy will forever be a patient here. THANK YOU!!

Sparkling Impressions

I called yesterday to get service for my pet, an i was told that the manager was going to call me back yesterday but there was no call back to me at all, then i called this morning, And the same thing happening today This place is the worst place to take your pets the Customer service Sucks. I was asked to hold then was hung up on in my face then I called back and was placed on hold with out them even asking me to hold then. when they did pick up the call there was laughing in the background for 2 mins until the lady put the phone to her ear. Then i starting asking question an she seemed clueless to the questions . She tried to throw me off phone after i was hung up on 3 times. i have sent many ppl to them an i truly upset that i could not get the answers to the Question i had about the pets an the pricing. The Customer service from there front desk sucks really bad... Will never send anyone else there that to the front desk

Brookside Animal Hospital is far away from my home but I happily travel 35 minutes BECAUSE of the treatment that we ALWAYS receive from Dr Leff and her team. From the front desk staff who are knowledgable about so much, kind and friendly, to the Tech staff who are always keen to listen and then help, to Dr Leff, who is the kindest and most considerate Vet I have met. Shes informed, up-to-date, well read and can explain why shes doing what. My dog had an issue with her eye and she quickly identified it and helped me sort it out. The follow-up calls are caring and a smart way to keep in touch and answer any questions that might come up along the way. I love the new idea of checking out in the room - that way my dog doesnt have all the other animals in the waiting room to stress about (or vice versa)! I would HIGHLY recommend this vet practice.

I have to honestly say that I had a fantastic experience at Brookside. Normally going to the vet is not something a person looks forward to but at Brookside a person does. The front desk staff greet you with a smile, are attentive and helpful. My kitten and I were taken back to a room in a timely manner and had the pleasure of being attended to by Erin, our vet tech. She was knowledgable and handled my kitten with great care. Not long after, Dr Goldberger came and I was impressed with her kind demeanor and professionalism. I feel really good about the care my kitten received and would recommend Brookside to anyone. If taking your pet to the vet is an unhappy experience then maybe you should switch to Brookside...you and your pet will be glad you did!

It has been difficult for me to find a good vet for my 2 cats, the loves of my life, since I got them years ago. Its so discouraging when you feel like the people youre handing your "kids" over to doesnt care about them like you do...not the case at Brookside Hospital. :) The staff was super friendly, even during my initial phone call to them, explaining my cats health issue, and they were very patient and informative about pricing and procedure. When I met Dr Kalick for the first time, I knew my kitty was in good hands and that he would be my vet for as long as I have animals. Very down to earth, sincere and genuinely cares about your animal(s). I dont normally leave reviews online, but this place definitely deserves to be noticed. :)

The ABSOLUTE WORST, DO NOT EVER EVER GO THERE!! Have brought a few pets there, Recently tried to get our Great Dane spayed there ,they were ill equipped to handle the dog and had to go else where, Brought her in for a bath and annual shots, tried to convince me she has fleas, she does not and never has, tried to sell heart-worm medicine, Said she was impossible to handle, this dog was trained by the professional trainer that they tried to recommend, anyone can handle her,, but no not them,, seriously! I have never been so strong armed to buy stuff from a vet before, finally i said, just go get my dog, Im outta here Rude staff, incompetent cannot handle dogs, I would bring my pet worm there!

Ive loved them in the past, but not anymore as theyve lost the hometown feeling towards loyal customers (now just OK). When the screw up they run around in circles not wanting to deal with you. Failed to give my dog his required and "due" shots when I dropped her off. Paid for everything, but as they put it; overlooked. Brookside is not exactly an "around the corner commute" for me. But theyre throwing some doggie treats at me as a way to say, Im sorry Mr. Customer whos been with us for 10 plus years. Think Ill just let them hang on to those treats.

I have been taking my dog here since she was 8 weeks old (shes now a year and a half). The staff has always been extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. There have been a few times where I called last minute and they were able to fit us in the same day. I have seen most of the vets there and have been very pleased with all of them. I have boarded my dog there and she had a blast. I have referred a couple of friends and they have all had great experiences as well. I highly recommend this vet.

We have been going here with our dogs for years. The staff makes us feel like family and Dr. Kalick is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. He takes as much time as needed to discuss, explain, examine or test. Also, he has been known to simply engage in friendly chat, which feels like a "small town" relationship, if you know what I mean. We have seen some of the other wonderful doctors there as well, and never had a problem. I cant stress enough how great this place is!

Brookside is always able to fit us in when our pets ave had emergencies - a sick elderly cat and a puppy with a heart condition - and made us feel confident in their work and comfortable with the doctors. We first went to Brookside because it is close to our home, but we have now come to realize that even if we move, Brookside will still be the place we take our pets! Thank you for all your help through the years!
