I took my two dogs for the low cost vaccine clinic on Saturday. The staff was lovely, caring and I couldnt have asked for a kinder group of people. HOWEVER, the MALE doctor (who I wont mention a name) was rude, condesending and arrogant. I asked a question regarding water intake and I was repromanded for asking him anything. I was told that his clinic was "A CVS for dogs" and that he would not comment on any thing. He then went on to insult the breed of dog I have (Dogue De Bordeaux) and talk down to me like I was a child! He was verbally abusive and insulting. His attitude was if I had bothered him by brining in my dogs. He had no love or compassion for my animals, either. The nurse was not only mortified, she apologized for him. Then, the front desk apologized for his behavior. I did appreicate the Low cost vaccine clinic. We just moved here and I needed to get them licenced and updated on shots. This allowed me to do this quickly and affordably. I wont be going back. Paying $100 for an appointment and being treated like I am bothering the doctor. And I certainly dont want to go to a clinic that the doctor reffers to as a "CVS for dogs".

Dr. Reifer is great! On Saturday, my 6 pound Maltese licked up a few drops of WD40. I immediately called my primary vet to see if there was anything I should do. He had already left the office and the front office assistant was not very helpful. So I called another vet in the area and they told me she needed attention immediately and they recommended I take her to an emergency clinic. At that point, I was incredibly worried and decided to call Countryside Animal Clinic for a third opinion. The clinic had already closed for the day but the front office assistant paged Dr Reifer to let him know I had contacted them. Within ten minutes Dr. Reifer called me personally and calmed me down. He told me just to keep an eye on her and he gave me the phone numbers for three separate emergency clinics in case she started showing symptoms throughout the weekend. You can tell he is a vet that actually cares. I will definitely be bringing my dog to this clinic in the future!

Our 11 y.o. Golden Retriever, Hailey, was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. Although the news was devastating, Dr. Anderson was amazing! She was so genuine and loving as she explained everything, and told us he had about 2 weeks to live. The next week we decided to take him to NC so that he could play in the snow one more time and my extended family could say goodbye. On the drive back we knew he was getting weaker. We called Countryside after hours and Dr. Reifer was kind enough to call us back and explain what we could expect at "the end" and how to make Hailey comfortable. Our Sweet Baby Hailey died the morning after we returned, exactly two weeks after our visit with Dr. Anderson. Although they were not able to save Hailey, I will be forever grateful that Dr. A & Dr. R were honest and compassionate. This enabled our family to celebrate Haileys life WITH him, and to take the time we needed to say goodbye... absolutely priceless!

Dr. Reifer and Dr. Anderson are the most loving and caring vets I have ever worked with. I first brought my Beagle, Ripley, to see them when I adopted her back in 02, and I never have even considered going anywhere else. Now, my wifes Lhasa Apso, Cashi, and my new Cocker Spaniel/Yorki mix, Artoo, will see them for life. I have never for one moment had an even slightly negative feeling about Countryside Animal Hospital. When I was in college and could barely afford to bring Ripley or my cats in, they helped. When my cat, and when Ripley passed away, I was made to feel comfortable, and welcomed. They always have seemed as concerned with our well being, as with my pets. I feel very lucky to have such wonderful vets, and always feel that my pets are in the best hands possible.

Our family has trusted the veterinary care of three Golden Retrievers over the past 25 years to Dr. Reifer and his staff. The front desk staff is always cheerful and promptly attend to clients coming in the door. Dr. Reifer is caring and always does a great job explaining what he finds during check-ups. We also use the grooming services available on-site. The rates are competitive and the bathing, toenail clipping and trimming are always professionally done. If you are wondering who to trust in vet care, we can confidently recommend Dr. Reifer at Countryside Animal Hospital.

Dr. Anderson and Dr. Reifer both saw Molly, one of my cats, as she refused to eat, it was a long and scary process but bottom line is they saved her life without costing me a fortune in unnessicary tests and drama. I can not thank them enough. The office staff was great. I was scared to death after a week end of her not eating, Dr. Reifer had no appointments available but they got me in. We had only been there one time before to have her annual exam and they treated me as if I was a long term client...Thanks to all.

We are fairly new patients to this office. We moved to Palm Harbor from Clearwater about 5 years ago and had been driving 30 minutes to our old vets office. But now that our yellow labs are senior boys we decide to find an office closer to home. Dr. Anderson has been very thorough, caring and compassionate. It means a lot to have a doctor take time to understand and to listen to everything that is going on with our pets. I am thankful to have found a veterinarian that I can trust.

Dr.s Reiffer and Anderson have been our vets for 15 years. We have one dog and one cat. The doctors are fantastic; personable, and really excellent at helping pet owners provide the best care for their animals through all situations that may arise . Very low if any turnover in office staff all these years, and I think that says a lot about the overall professionalism of the office. So grateful to have these vets in our area. Also good for boarding and grooming.

Excellent care and concern for all animals, from the front desk staff to the two hard-working veterinarians and vet techs. The facility is very clean. You will be greeted by Flash, the resident orange and cream fur ball cat. Everyone takes the time to listen to the pet and owner. I have seven rescues and they are all treated here. There is a surgical unit and lab and radiological facilities. They also carry pet foods and topical medications and supplies.

Im overly thrilled with this place. For two days I was calling Animal Hospitals to get my kitten who had a three gashes in her leg looked at. Each on of them was rude and would not help. Once I called Countryside Animal Hospital, they told me they were completely booked but to head down there right away and they will get me in. They were able to help my kitten and everything was a very affordable price. Thank you guys soooo much!
