The veterinary team at the Animal Hospital at Northwood has been giving excellent care to our dogs for over 11 years. Whether it’s a routine visit for vaccines or something much more serious everyone on the team has been friendly, compassionate and helpful. With an ailing senior pug that had many health issues, I got to know everyone there on a first name basis and I can really, honestly say that they love what they do and genuinely care for their patients. Both Dr. Woodman and Dr. Slaby are excellent veterinarians, laying out all possible outcomes before developing a course of action and ensuring you really understand what is happening. They both also know when to refer to a specialist and don’t hesitate to tell you what they would do if they were in your shoes. I’m always greeted with a smile either over the phone or in person and everyone is always excited to see my dogs and know them by name. The entire team there is just fabulous and I wouldn’t trust my dogs with anyone else. Thank you to the amazing team at the Animal Hospital at Northwood for keeping our furry family members happy and healthy!

You can not find a better place to take your pets for care. I have a number of cats, five at the moment, and totally trust Drs. Woodman and Slaby with their care. I started with Dr. Dave Slaby over thirty years ago and Dr. Don Woodman has cared for my furry clan for over fifteen years now. The staff is great. I have recommended others to switch to the Animal Hospital of Northwood and I know of at least one of those who has passed on that recommendation to several others. These are people who truly love animals and will spend as much time as needed to explain possible treatments so that they are understandable. Update, Sept. 6, 2016: I have six cats now and I totally trust them to Dr. Woodman and staff. My eldest boy, Max, who is about 18 developed a degenerative spinal disc problem which left him unable to walk. After undergoing laser treatments under the care of Dr. Woodman, Max can now walk. It has been an amazing transformation!

We brought our 4 month old Mini Schnauzer puppy in for an emergency at 7:30am. I fully believe the quick acting staff and the knowledge of Dr. Woodman saved our little puppy from the unthinkable. I was so impressed by the entire practice, especially Dr. Don Woodman. They are now going to be our forever Vet for our new puppy, and our 9 year old Mini Schnauzer. Thank you Don Woodman, and the entire team at Animal Hospital of Northwood!! The picture below is the day we brought her home. Our puppy Millie is happy and healthy! One more thing; We received picture updates via text from the Vet, and phone calls. They made sure to keep in touch with us so much we never had to worry about calling them for updates. This was a HUGH stress reliever.

My experience at Northwood has always been excellent! Dr. Woodman and all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are kind to their customers and they clearly just love animals. Even when the receptionist calls to remind you of your appointment, you feel welcome and appreciated. They are attentive, timely, and assist you with all decision options. These people make you feel like family and have an uncanny ability to make sure that your pet feels loved. I cannot think of a better place to take your pet and have no reservations giving this practice a five star rating. Thank you for your service and for keeping my pet healthy and happy :-)

Moving to a new city can be scary. Finding new healthcare for our pets was a priority, and after a couple of less than successful practices, we found Dr. Woodman and Dr. Slaby at Animal Hospital of Northwood. Their staff is friendly and inviting and Dr. Woodman put us at ease. He is both knowledgeable and, more importantly, he listens to your concerns and explains things thoroughly. Going to their office is almost like visiting a friends home. They know all of our dogs and ask about them if they arent along for the visit. They are a little further away from our house, but Ill drive the extra distance for the extra special care my dogs receive.

Dr. Woodman is by far the best Vet Ive been to, hands down. Not only is he great at what he does but he and his staff truly care about their clients and go the extra mile. They helped me get two diabetic cats regulated with ease and the utmost compassion. If I still lived in the area theres no question that any pets I have would be lifelong patients. I dont know that any other Vet can meet the standards I have now, after my years of going to The Animal Hospital of Northwood. I highly recommend.

Dr. Woodman is by far the best Vet I have ever experienced. I have been a client for 6 years now and refuse to go anywhere else. He is so informational, educated, kind, caring, and truly wants the best for your pets. I cannot say enough kind words about Dr. Woodman and his staff members. I ave brought my pets in for basic annuals and shots and also medical emergencies and I have always left beyond satisfied with the services they have provided.

I had a bad experience at this office. I had an appointment for just a regular yearly checkup and somehow we ended up spending 2 hours there, mostly just waiting around. I found the doctor to be condescending and did not seem to care about either of my dogs or any concerns we had. They are also extremely over priced. I will not return and I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

Dr Woodman met me as a consultation for my aged and ill dog. He examined her and spent almost an hour with me, carefully giving me my many options and supported me in my decision. He is the most compassionate man. If I have any more dogs, he will definitely be my man even though he is at quite a distance. Bless you Dr. Woodman

Everyone here is absolutely wonderful. I actually look forward to taking my dog to the vet! I brought my puppy from 7 weeks on and they are straight forward with any questions or concerns and are so good with her. The doctor is so kind, funny and brilliant. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

Worst experience Ive ever had at an animal hospital. Long story short, brought my dog in with a serious emergency. They didnt seem to concerned with my dogs health. Very condescending. More concerned with payment. Very overpriced. Would NOT recommend.

I just dropped a baby woodpecker and they took him right away in I hope the little guy makes it they were very pleasant to deal with and I will definitely take any other Wildlife that I find there thank you for taking in the little guy.

Took our puppy there that was very sick. They took us in right away and we feel might have saved our puppys life. They called the next day to check up on him. This vet is definitely not a scam artist. We wouldnt go anywhere else
