I have to agree with the reviews about the rudeness of the staff. There is issues getting refills on meds and any type of notices. Last week I ran out of my diabetic meds. I didnt realize I was out of refills. The pharmacy sent 2 request and no response from the office. I called 2 times and was finally told I need to make an appointment and they will refill my meds. I scheduled an appointment, no problem, and asked her why I wasnt notified or emailed it was time. She said I was told last year. Sorry not acceptable when you had me sign up for your app and email notifications. Then the funny thing is that I got a letter stating they no longer wanted to serve me and to find a new doctor. Really???? Ive been off my meds for days because nobody responded to me or the pharmacy and then you get called out and Im the blame? Now I have less than a month to find a new doctor go thru the whole process about my diabetes and take off from work. The billing practice is horrible. The only bill I ever recieved was a demand letter for 20$.... never a bill. Whenever I was there for blood work, the nurse that was drawing blood always missed the vein and had to get another nurse who was experienced. I actually like Dr Friedman. Funny thing is that if you read the bad comments, which sound very similar and similar to my experience, the response from the office makes it sound like the reviewers issue. They forget its all about perspective and how this office is perceived in the community and buy their patients. Im sure there will be a response telling me how wrong I am and its my fault..... it seems to be their MO instead of address the problems and concerns.

WOW.....less than a week ago we moved back to Frisco after three years away. The second day here I realized I was out of blood pressure medicine and needed to see a doctor quick as I no longer had refills. I explained my situation and they were ablee to see me the next day (today) which was great. My hands and feet have started to swell and my head hurts all day which unfortunately is a sign that my bp is high. I arrived to my appointment on time and was relieved to be sitting in a doctors office because I feel terrible. I realized when signing in that I had forgot my darn paperwork! Luckily, there are only three short forms and I knew it wouldnt take more than 5 minutes. I sat down and as I started page 2 (just a signature page as is page 3) I was informed that I would have to reschedule. I was also told that I needed to fast for labs which was the first time I was informed. I am beyond disappointed that a physicians office would care so little about a patients health with a chronic condition than a slightly delayed start. No one else was sitting in the waiting room and Im sure time was allowed for my visit. I too work in healthcare and would never run a practice this way. My highly insured family of 7 will find a new primary practice home but this will not be it.

The staff is friendly and the PA, Robin, I saw once for a medicine dosage question was very good. The nurse practitioner is good as well. Its easy to get an appointment quickly, even same day, if you dont mind seeing the nurse practitioner or the PA, and since both are very competent and able to write prescriptions if necessary, Im happy to see either. The practice uses a smartphone app to stay connected to patients to remind of appointments or communicate test results. Some may not like this as its less personal (no phone call) but I think many people, like me, will find it very convenient as it can be accessed any time at your convenience rather than a voice message being left or forgetting where you wrote your appointment down at. Dr Friedman responded to a billing concern I wrote about very promptly and thoroughly and I appreciated that he took the concern seriously and was able to see the patients viewpoint easily. I havent seen him for an appointment but he came across as warm and friendly over the phone.

I had to look up Doc number to make a apt. and seen the reviews so figured it was time to give mine. Dr. Friedman is direct and to the point and this is a great thing in healthcare. He expects his patients to do what they are suppose to for there own health on not expect him to be the miracle worker that some may think a doctor is suppose to be. I have seen him and Robin multiple times and never left disappointed. Even this time I waited till the last minute to get my meds filled (my own fault) and needed a quick apt and as usual it was easy and done. Not many offices with get patients in last minute especially this time of year when everyone is trying to use up all the benefits before they start over. This practice is a very well run machine and quality people with quality care. I have been in medicine for 20 years and wish more doctors had this approach to total patient care. He is never to busy to treat your family and that is what family practice is all about.

Highly recommend! Where do I start, my first visit went great! The front office staff is very friendly and let you know right off the bat the cost of your appointment. I didnt wait but maybe 5 minutes and the medical assistant was pulling me back. Once back and vitals taken I only waited about 15 minutes before Robin the Physicians Assistant came in. Robin really listened and dug deep to help her better understand how I was feeling. She talked to me about a couple different approaches we could take depending on the outcome of the blood work and mood questioners. Minutes later the same medical assistant was back in taking my blood and wow she is awesome at it! I HATE NEEDLES! I usually get really hot, pale and dizzy and sometimes pass out but not this time! Got a little lightheaded but I do so much better that usual! They even gave me a juice box after. I highly recommend this office to anyone, quick, friendly and clean!

Dr. Friedman is a good doctor and so is the staff. They are very friendly and truly concern for your well being, however, when it comes to payment processing, their billing department is unwilling to talk to you, unwilling to listen and what is worst, unwilling to reprocess claims even when they have made mistakes. Here is what I dealt with when a claim was processed incorrectly. In their own words: "it is your job to deal with the insurance, not mine", "We dont reprocess claims twice and it is your job to care about your own money, not ours". At the end of the conversation, they told me they did not argue with customers and rudely hanged up the phone. The staff and the doctors may be great, but you cannot have an unpredictable billing department... too much risk and you will loose your time unnecessarily. Ill be willing to remove this review if the billing company is replaced by a more professional one.
