This facility is more of a shake down than a medical practice. My fiance and I were seeing Dr. Camilo (duder is awesome, real down to earth) for weight management for about 6 months. We both lost weight and were extremely pleased with the results. About a year after we stopped going I received a phone call from a collection agency stating I had a balance with this office. I explained that it was a mistake and I would clear it up with them. I contacted the Doctors office and spoke with Constance, a Billing Specialist, who explained that it wasnt a mistake. She explained that on several occasions I was billed for an extended visit with the doctor. When I requested how that was determined, it was explained that a Biller looks at the doctors notes, then based on nothing more than the Billers experience, they are able to determine how long the doctor was in the room with me. I attempted to explain that on all of our visits it would have appeared that way because my fiance and I were seen together. I asked if there was a time in/time out section that showed when the doctor was actually with me, it was explained that it was not necessary because there was NO WAY a mistake could have been made. The Billing Specialist again explained that the Biller is able to look at the notes and know how long it took, without anything else to go on. I again tried to explain that we were only being seen for weight management and that only took a few minutes, far from an extended visit. I asked if we could have the doctor brought on the line to clear this up and without asking or leaving the line, I was told that he was too busy. Constance advised that they attempted to contact us, by mail, but werent able to reach us. She then explained that they do not even have to contact us by phone, that would be a courtesy that they do not extend. In addition, she advised that because the account was in collections there wasnt anything that she could do. She was extremely short and rude during our conversation and continually talked over me. I have held several customer service positions in my life time; her attitude and how she talked over me every second would have landed her without a job. They obviously dont care, they already have my money. Save yourself the hassle and look for another practice...it isnt worth the headache.

Dr Worrell has been my doctor for years and I used to love coming here - the office staff wasnt any worse than others and the medical attention to detail made any instances worth it. Unfortunately with every visit Ive noticed the office staff support declining steadily, now that it hit rock bottom I was surprised to discover the medical staff took a leap after them. I come in every 3 months for adderall, and for a year and half they have messed something up every one of those visits. One they wrote me scripts wthat were not for 30 days but 36, half the time they dont do the drug screen or forget to write down my visit - all on top of hours of waiting for 3 1/2 mins with a doctor. Why was it worth it? Dr Worrell. I got my physical late this year and looked forward to seeing him - but unfortunately he didnt perform the entire physical (listened to breathing, but didnt check anything else like ears, nose, threat, etc). He wasnt his thorough self which was disappointing, and he actually left at one point and just didnt even come back to finish with me. When I finally asked the nurse informed me I was done and sent me to go get my labs. Fast forward to 6 weeks later, I made a follow up appt, got stuck in a horrible accident and was about 10 mins late to my appointment the front desk advised me I had to wait now - totally understand. 90 mins later I get called back, then they put me back in the waiting room. 20 mins later and I get called up to the front and advised Dr Worrell is too busy to see me, if I want to wait for him it will be 4 to 5 hours - if that early. Got the hint so I left. Now Im in the waiting room to see the doctor, I signed in 30 mins ago but no one has even talked to me, the gentleman next to me went up a few mins ago asking if they forgot about him because his visit was an hour and 15 mins ago and they just told him they didnt and slid the window shut. Cant wait to find my next doctor, and from the looks of the waiting room I doubt Im not the only one or last. *** Edit: Ive been signed in and in the waiting room for an hour now and they still have not checked me in or acknowledged me past taking the slip with my name.

Saw this doctor and regretted it. I also had trouble with billing and insurance; they charged me almost 3k of bloodwork without my consent, then told me not to pay the bill when it arrived in the mail. So, I didnt end up paying for the bulk of the bloodwork but nobody told me this. For several weeks I was freaking out thinking I was going to owe thousands of dollars when all i asked for was a very basic routine bloodwork in order to start a new medication. When I thought i would have to pay out of pocket, i was told i only needed $75 of basic bloodwork. How the hell did he decide to balloon that up to 3k without telling me? Doctor then told me I need to be on cholesterol medication. Im 21 years old, dont drink too often, dont eat too badly, a little overweight but nothing major. Never been told I have a cholesterol problem until I saw him. Is it possible i do? Sure, but I highly doubt it. Only further appointments with another provider will show if this is true or not, but i have a feeling it was overzealous and an attempt to get me to keep coming back to monitor medication. ALSO, makes you visit him to get medical records which is not okay. I couldnt get a copy of my bloodwork or sleep study results until i spoke with him and the first visit was so terrible that i didnt want to go back at all and then it cost me money PURELY to have a conversation with him. the front desk staff were rude ,terrible, mean, fussy, and quite frankly, horrendous. Im not a mean person and I hate to be rude, but the things I was put through during my visit are beyond what I could have ever imagined any respectable doctors office would do. Im finally done going there, but only after months of worry and hundreds of wasted dollars. If you cant afford to be "shaken down" as other patients have said, and had your money all but stolen from you under the guise of legitimate medical practice, dont go here.

I went to Dallas Family Medicine for a ROUTINE checkup. The one that is covered by my insurance once per year. When my wife and I got there we were told we would see Dr.Worrell. As we were filing in our new patient forms we made sure to ask the receptionist and billing department that our appointment would be covered under our insurance. They assured us "yes, everything is considered as your annual physical". When we finally got behind the waiting room door we were greeted by a doctors assistant who did our physicals. The assistant then told us that they were going to take some blood samples for testing. We were naturally alarmed as this is not usually part of the deal. But again they assured us this was normal practice and we would not be charged. So after taking about 30 blood samples we left without ever seeing Dr. Worrell. Fast forward 3 weeks, we get a claim on our insurance for $6000.00 worth of blood tests! WHAT! After many stressful nights and many phone calls trying to reach the billing department (they never would answer the phone) I finally got to someone who explained to me to NOT pay the bill. "If they send a bill in the mail. dont pay it". So apparently they use some shady process where a few people get scammed and pay absorbent amounts of money and that covers the people who dont monitor their insurance claims online or who care enough to go through all the work I did. Like I said shady. This place has very sketchy ethical practices and they will undergo tests that are OUT-of-network when they appear IN-network with your insurance provider. I would not recommend this establishment.
