This does not show my name so I will tell you here it is Celia Portnoy. I came on this page to write A Review for the Parkland Veterinary Hospital & Read the other reviews first. I can HONESTLY say at this point there IS NOT A Single Positive review on here that I do not agree with 100%!! I started Fostering for An Animal Rescue at the end of Feb., 2014. I bring my dog (fell in love with my foster dog & couldnt let him go.) to Dr. Paredes and any & all my emergency puppies! One of the reviews said Dr. Paredes, Garey & Sam make them & their pet feel like they are home...My dog, Bruno, actually thinks he lives there! He actually gets excited to go to the vet. I have honestly never had that before! Tonight, I got home from work & freaked cause I discovered that Bruno wasnt feeling so well...I called them AT 6:00PM...they said, "Come on over". I had a horrific situation a couple of months ago with one of my fosters that I had at that time, it was after 6pm & the Dr had gone somewhere & Garey said hold on, came back to the phone & said, "the Dr said bring Ziggy in, shes coming back".I call them for advice, for help, for emergencies or just to discuss something & they never, ever make me feel like I am imposing! They post some of my dogs on their website on Face book...I could go on & on!! I have a friend who runs another rescue & she had a 3 wk old puppy who was dying right in front of her. She called me & asked me about the vet I use. I called the office & asked if they could see & treat this animal that they had never met & needed help immediately. The vet they usually see couldnt see them right away & they were afraid the puppy wouldnt make it. (I met my friend there, the puppys tongue, nose & paw pads were white. He was dying!!) Thanks to Dr. Paredes, they are posting the puppy, phenomenon, for pre-adoption!!! They are amazing people, its an amazing facility (they have a treadmill for dogs!) I am very grateful to them all!! I wish them all the luck in the world & absolutely love animals...as an animal lover I would absolutely recommend them to you!!

I am happy to report, the reviews are true. When my baby, Roxy fell ill last night I was the first to arrive at Parkland Veterinary Hospital this morning. The doors were not even unlocked when I and Roxy were greeted by the warmest kindest man, Sam. New customer, and now appointment. He hugged me an assured me they would do anything to help. He introduced me to the vet tech Glenda Paredes, DVM. She was equally as calming and informative. (She even sprayed calming oil into the air to sooth Roxy!) They also give you an estimate before hand so you and the doctor can figure out what price and procedures are best for you. (So much better then just being handed a 2000 bill!) I could not be more please Ive bin home all of 30 minutes and Roxy appears better already. Thank you SO much Parkland Veterinary Hospital, if i could give 100 stars I would.

Onewho Knows

I was distraught when another vet said my sweet kitty might be VERY sick and that she suffered from a serious mouth disease. I brought her to Parkland Veterinary Hospital and was immediately greeted by Sam (now one of my favorite people!) who cuddled up with Chloe and made her feel comfy and welcome before carefully going over her before Dr. Glenda came in. Chloe fell in love with the doctor and allowed her to examine her mouth with very little "holding down"! Turned out Chloe DID need some dental attention, but the price was nowhere near what I had been quoted elsewhere and the doctor took such good care of her than when Chloe came back for a follow-up, she didnt "fight the carrier" (she knew she was going to visit friends!). Thanks so much to Dr. Glenda, Sam and Gary.

I would have to say that my little Chloe received the most loving, caring, and professional help at the most critical time when she was just barely holding on for her dear life at Parkland Veterinary Hospital. We had never been there before and they took us in and nursed my little puppy back to life from an extremely life threatening sudden condition. It seemed impossible but they saved her life and my family and I will be forever grateful. These are truly dedicated and determined people. To me they are Angels. We have since depended on them to care for our other pets as well. You will sense quickly how they love what they are doing and how dedicated they are to doing it correctly. Like us, you will be in the best of hands with these people at Parkland Veterinary Hospital!

So many vets make cat owners feel secondary or burdensome. This is most definitely not the case at Parkland Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Paredes is so patient with my cat, who is old and very stressed when he is in unfamiliar surroundings. She does not rush the visit or make me feel bad. She lets my cat adjust to the environment, and in a testament to her abilities, usually is rewarded when he lets her pet him at the end of the visit. She has stayed late on more than one occasion to finish my cats treatment and always follows up with a phone call to see how hes doing. Manager Garey is also unfailingly polite and helpful, always smiling and happy to see you. I cannot recommend this vet enough.

The best veterinary clinic in South Florida The best veterinary clinic in South Florida. After five years of trying to find a veterinarian it was more interested in my dog then money we have finally found truly dedicated excellent veterinary clinic. From the moment we called for the appointment until we left with a beautifully treated dog we were extremely impressed with Parkland veterinary hospital. All along the way we were given full explanations and various options for care. The cost was more than fair given the outstanding treatment our dog received. We are certainly more than pleased and have made this are permanent veterinary hospital. Paul and Kathy Hart

I love the staff and doctor here! Everyone was so helpful and very knowledgeable! I took my cat here to get a few teeth removed and the vet sat down and showed me his xrays and was very thorough with what she was going to do and explained it to me very well. His surgery went well and I have boarded him a couple of times with them and he always seems happy there and happy to see them! She also examined our dog to see if his tumor was cancerous which thankfully it was not! There is never a long wait and they answer any questions you have as well as call you throughout the surgeries. Would highly recommend them to everyone!!

My experience with this facility has been wonderful. I have taken my rabbit and my dog her for treatment. The Dr. and her staff are very friendly and very caring to the animals. She goes the extra mile to explain everything that she is doing and why. When I took my long haired rabbit to her for grooming he took a long time because he hair was so matted, and the Dr. and her staff stayed late to take care of him . She has a very kind demeanor when she examines the animals, and does not subject them to any unnecessary procedures or testing. I will recommend this facility to all my friends and family. Thanks
